ThunderClan Re: Zesha's Characters

THISTLEROSE

Basics

Name: Thistlerose
Former Names: Thistlekit, Thistlepaw
Name Meaning:
Thistle- for her brown color
rose- for her sweet, friendly personality as well as her thorny side if someone harms those she cares about.
Age: 26 Moons
Gender: Transfemale (MtF)
Sexuality: Pansexual
Clan: ThunderClan
Rank: Warrior

Physical Appearance

A large brown she-cat with dark brown spots along her back and tail, as well as some stripes along her legs and face. She has large, dark brown ears with tufts of fur at the end. The fur on her cheeks is long and looks similar to that of a lynx, with dark brown stripes running from her golden eyes to the ends of her cheek fluff. Her muzzle is a light tan and sports of reddish-pink nose. The rest of her body also has long fur, covering a stockier body with powerful legs. At the end of her legs are dark brown toes tipped with sharp claws. A dark stripe runs from the back of her neck to the tip of her tail, which is short and bobbed, though it does nothing to hinder her ability to climb trees and balance.

Body Structure: Stocky
Height: 10 inches
Weight: 10.2 pounds
Fur Color: Brown and light tan
Fur Texture: Soft, straight
Fur Length: Long
Markings: Dark brown spotted tabby
Eye Color: Golden
Scars: No noticeable scars
Images: Toyhouse

Personality

Though she has a stocky body, that doesn’t mean she’s all brawn and has no brain. In reality, she’s much smarter than she is strong, usually able to understand difficult situations aren’t black and white, and capable of determining that each side has its valid points. Though usually, this intelligence is used for tracking prey and catching it rather than determining the validity of quarrels. She’s a logical sort, trying not to let her feelings get in the way of the truth, and using that to be honest with others even if the truth isn’t necessarily what they want. She’s also a rather outgoing and cheerful cat, enjoying conversations with others and just hanging out. It’s clear from the way she talks and holds herself that she’s very confident, having no doubts in herself or where she puts her paws. Still, she isn’t without faults. She’s stubborn, often wanting to do things her way instead of how others think they should be done, and not wanting to believe in certain things that would simply be “too horrible.” She’s also likely to impulsively do something rather than wait, which has gotten her into trouble from time to time, especially when she impulsively starts arguing with someone.

Positive Traits: Intelligent, cheerful, self-confident.
Neutral Traits: Honest, logical, outgoing.
Negative Traits: Stubborn, impulsive, confrontational.

History

Kithood

Thistlekit and Lynxkit were the only kits born to Blossompounce and Flashflight, their birth coming at the very beginning of leaf bare. Things were tough for them, prey was scarce, and several times their parents were afraid that the two would end up dying as Blossompouce struggled to produce milk. By some miracle, the two managed to cling to life despite the harshness of leaf bare and they grew into healthy kits. By the time they were two moons old, they were ready to be weaned, taking easily to solid food that had been chewed up first by their mother.

The two continued their lives in the nursery, though they were now two moons old and growing rapidly. They tussled with each other often, play fighting, peeking out of the nursery to see the apprentices showing each other the hunting and battle moves they had learned. When they were three moons old their mother finally allowed them out of the nursery on their own. She left them in the care of another queen while she went out to hunt with their father Flashflight, promising to be back soon. She never came back. Neither of them ever came back, much to their dismay.

Their care was taken over by the queen that had watched them that day, Rushfire. She was a kind but opinionated queen, and she was stuck in her way of raising kits. Each day, like clockwork, they went to the elder’s den at sunhigh and were told stories—whether they wanted to or not. They had a very strict routine that they followed under Rushfire, but the structure helped them cope with the loss of both their parents. By the time the two of them were six moons old and ready to be apprenticed, they viewed Rushfire as their mother.

Apprenticeship

Thistlepaw was apprenticed to a cat by the name of Thicketgaze. They were abnormally large with feathery, pinkish gray tabby fur and dark blue eyes that seemed to see everything. They were a decent cat, just rather impatient. It wasn’t unusual for them to get frustrated with Thistlepaw when she didn’t get something right. For instance, while she loved hunting, it did not come naturally to her with her small stocky body. Her legs felt too short, her body too small, but despite the annoyance Thicketgaze seemed to radiate they never gave up on teaching her. She apprenticed that, since she felt her parents had given up on her.

As time went on, she began to grow into her body and her movements weren’t as awkward. By this point Thicketgaze had figured out how to show her to balance on her feet and disperse her weight evenly, and they seemed to be growing to like her, as their impatience came out less and less. Though, unfortunately, Thistlepaw had picked up some of that impatience by then and would scold them if they were late for practice. Thicketgaze just found it amusing and would say they’d try to be on time for the next one.

At last the time came for Thistlepaw’s assessment. She was nervous, but Thicketgaze assured her that she had learned everything there was to know, and that she would do wonderfully. They were right. She passed the assessment easily, despite it being during leaf bare, and managed to bring home four pieces of prey: a squirrel, two starlings, and a mouse. Words could not express how happy Thicketgaze was with her. She was truly ready to become a warrior. Thistlepaw made Thicketgaze promise to keep sparring with her, though; she still didn’t feel as confident with that as she did with hunting.

Warriorhood

The day after her assessment, she and her brother were given their warrior names: Thistlerose and Lynxshine. The cats of ThunderClan called their names, and she felt a swell of pride. They had done it. Despite losing their parents at such a young age, they had managed to become warriors. Which meant they didn’t have to clean out the elder’s bedding, at long last. As much as she loved the elders, she could do without their complaining about whether the moss she brought in was dry enough or not. Now she could truly become the warrior she was meant to be.

Much of her warrior life was the same day to day: hunting for the Clan, checking the borders, every now and then helping with apprentice tasks when the apprentices fell behind (though that was rare). Often she hunted with her brother Lynxshine. Things seemed pretty normal in ThunderClan then, and would for a while yet.

Around the time she was 23 moons old, she was given her first apprentice: Shatteredpaw. She looked forward to training him and was enthusiastic about it. And things were great for the first moon. But between that first moon, her brother Lynxshine disappeared, leaving her without any family left in ThunderClan. She wanted to go look for him, but she had an obligation to Shatteredpaw—and then he vanished, too. Determined to figure out what happened to her apprentice, Thistlerose set out to track him down. She didn’t think it would take long. How far could a seven moon old apprentice get, anyway? As it turned out, pretty far. She ended up in twolegplace looking for him and got lost, the trail of her apprentice disappearing suddenly at the end of an alley. Now she had to pick her way back to ThunderClan, somehow.

It took three moons for her to find he way back. She sat on the border waiting for a patrol, but instead found only Shiningskies wandering along the border. She found out from her that, in Thistlerose’s absence, Aspenstar and Icicleripple had died, Dogbark had abandoned the Clan, and Dawnstar of ShadowClan had decided to move in and take over to “reform” ThunderClan. It all sounded like a mess, but ThunderClan had always been her home, so she implored Shiningskies to let her rejoin. After some consideration, Shiningskies agreed, but reminded Thistlerose that this would be her last chance.

As of February 13, 2022, Thistlerose returned to ThunderClan. Whether she will show that she has changed has yet to be seen.

LOONFEATHER

Basics

Name Meaning: Loon – for his black and white coat; feather – unknown.
Former Names: Loonkit, Loonpaw
Nickname: Loon, Loony
Birth Date: January 20, 2020
Age: 27 moons
Gender: Cismale
Pronouns: He/Him
Orientation: Unsure
Clan: ShadowClan
Rank: Warrior

Physical Appearance

A white tom with patches of black scattered across his short pelt. These black spots are more concentrated on his face, leaving a blaze of white down his nose that’s speckled with black spots as well as two white dots on either side of his yellowish-green eyes. His long tail is solid black and adds to his graceful strides. Despite being on the shorter side of average he gives off a very elegant air when he walks. There is also a tear in his left ear where a RiverClan cat swiped at him and just caught the edge of his ear.

Height: 9.2 inches
Weight: 7.9 pounds
Eyes: Yellow-Green
Coloration: White with black patches
Markings: black patches/spots
Special: None
Scars: Slightly torn left ear
Images: ToyHouse

Personality

Loon falls under the sign of Aquarius, which may cause his Clan a bit of trouble sometimes. While he tends to go out of his way to make sure others are okay, checking in on their well-being, he also has a bit of trouble with authority figures. Especially when he thinks they’re wrong. Now, he doesn’t think they shouldn’t be attacking the other Clans—on the contrary, he kind of hates all the other Clans and feels they’re weak and need guidance on how to be stronger and less… pathetic. Loon would definitely be one of the cats to suggest all Clans come under one name: ShadowClan. And yet at the same time, he has no issues rebelling against authority if he sees fit. It can be frustrating, but so far he hasn’t done anything too bad.

Normally Loon is able to think quickly, adapting to new situations easily and fluidly. He had a good working memory that helps him out—especially when he needs to lie about something. It isn’t that he wants to be dishonest to his own Clan, it’s just… sometimes you have to tell a few white lies to keep them from being hurt. This doesn’t help his insecurity in relationships, often feeling like friends and (adopted) family would rather hang out with anyone besides him. It wouldn’t be surprising to find him trying to eavesdrop to see if Clanmates truly hate him. He might appear tough and like he doesn’t care what others think on the outside, but inside it really matters.

Positive Traits: Adaptable, Charming, Flexible, Humorous.
Neutral Traits: Day-dreamer, Expressive, Sarcastic, Stubborn.
Negative Traits: Dishonest, Hateful, Insecure, Superficial.

Relations

Mother: Unknown
Adopted Mother: Lillyleap (Deceased)
Father: Unknown
Adopted Father: Gingercry (Toodle)
Siblings: Goldenstep (Adopted Sister, Toodle)
Adopted Nieces & Nephews: Sunsetpaw (Ravensong), Chamomilepaw (littlelove), Yellowkit (Angelique), Ashpaw (Error), Snowkit (Poppy'song), Petalkit (Ravensong), Burningkit (Jackpot)

Mate: None
Kits: None

Mentor: Unknown
Apprentice(s): Snarlpaw (Jaxson)
Fomer Apprentice(s): Gingerpaw (Rockfall)

History

Back when he was a small kit, Loonkit was found outside of ShadowClan’s border. He was barely a moon old. Lilyleap, the cat who found him, could smell loner on him but it was stale. She decided to take him back to camp and raise him with her daughter, Goldenkit. The two got along well and they grew into happy, healthy kits. Loonkit was truly happy, enjoying the time he got to spend with his adopted mother Lilyleap, adopted father Gingercry, and adopted sister Goldenkit. For the time being, they were all one big happy family.

This would change during their apprenticeship. Though Loonpaw and Goldenpaw were still getting along just swell, tragedy struck: their mother died. They were told that the patrol was ambushed by rogues and that she had been killed that way. It shook them both, and started making Loonpaw distrust cats outside of ShadowClan. This was further imprinted on him when he had a tussle with a RiverClan apprentice at the border. The apprentice swiped at him and caught his ear, tearing it slightly. Though Loonpaw managed to get revenge and gave the apprentice a good clawing, the scar remained and his heart grew harder against the other Clans.

After becoming a warrior, he was given an apprentice: Gingerpaw. He had hoped things would go well, but the young she-cat just wouldn’t listen to a word he said. He’d ask for them to meet to train and she wouldn’t show up. It became frustrating, and he was about to confront her when she disappeared. Dawnstar didn’t seem bothered by it, though, since Gingerpaw had gone through so many mentors and, he assumed, had been a struggle for all of them. Dawnstar then gave him Snarlpaw, who has been a much better apprentice and has wanted to learn everything he can.

LILACDAWN

Basics

Name: Lilacdawn
Former Names: Lilackit, Lilacpaw
Name Meaning:
Lilac- for her gray tabby fur
dawn- for her personality, soft as the dawn light
Age: 30 Moons
Gender: Cisfemale
Sexuality: Pansexual
Clan: WindClan
Rank: Warrior

Physical Appearance

Lilacdawn is a light gray tabby she-cat with short fur, marked with white around her muzzle and part-way down her chest. Each of her paws is white, as if she dipped them in paint. At the end of her muzzle is a cute, light-pink nose that rests below her pale yellow eyes, soft with her compassion for others. Her body is long and lithe, with a tail that has to be at least the same length as her body which streams out behind her as she sprints across the moorland. She tends to keep her fur clean and, while it is short, it is incredibly soft.

Body Structure: Long/Lithe
Height: 9 inches
Weight: 7 pounds
Fur Color: Light gray tabby
Fur Texture: Soft, straight
Fur Length: Short
Markings: Dark tabby stripes, white paws, muzzle, chest
Eye Color: Pale Yellow
Scars: No noticeable scars
Images: One

Personality

Lilacdawn is seen as a soft, caring cat. It doesn’t have to be a friend or family, she simply as a disposition to care for others. She’s amiable, enjoying the company of most cats and easily able to make friends with others. This is a cat that would give a hungry cat the very last rabbit even if it met that she would starve because of it.
Over time, cats realized that she was someone they could trust. She keeps things confidential, not telling a single soul unless the cat wants someone else to know—unless, of course, the secret will cause harm to the Clan. If she’s told that another Clan is about to attack, she absolutely has to bring that to light. She also has a bit of a habit of treating everyone like they’re her kit, which can be cute but also frustrating for some. For those that want her to stop, she tries to remember to. For those that get in her face about it, her pride requires her to step up and remind them that there are nicer ways to ask her to stop.
Not everything is sunshine and rainbows. She tends to be indecisive, so thank goodness there’s a deputy to pick who goes on patrol with her. Lilacdawn also tends to be very opinionated, mostly about how to raise kits, as she feels that being too rough with them and using fear is wrong. This cat has a pettiness insider her, though, so beware rubbing her the wrong way.

Positive Traits: Amiable, caring, generous.
Neutral Traits: Confidential, maternal, proud.
Negative Traits: Indecisive, opinionated, petty.

History

Kithood

Lilackit was born as the only kit in her litter to Lilyblossom and Smokecloud. She was showered with love and affection from her parents, told stories of the day’s happenings by Smokecloud while Lilyblossom purred until she fell into a land of dreams. The two first-time parents were doing their very best for their kit, wanting her to grow up to be a lovely young apprentice that wouldn’t be a nuisance to whoever ended up mentoring her. They loved their little bundle of fur very much, and despite the ridicule they got from some queens they simply ignored them.

At around three moons old, she was eager to meet the Clan. The camp was a new wonderland for her and she wanted to know about everyone, but most of the cats were too busy to talk to her. This was a bit hurtful, but it quickly got swept away when she learned the elders had stories to tell. She would listen for the entire day if they would let her, but normally they got tired after a little while and sent her back out into the camp to play. She loved every single story they told, even the scary ones.

Time seemed to fly and she was quickly approaching apprentice age. Lilackit tried to copy what she saw the apprentices practicing in camp, and when he had time her father Smokecloud would come and gently guide her into the right positions. Every time she got it right, he made sure to praise her and it made her glow with pride. She wanted to become an amazing apprentice for whoever got her, and make her parents proud of her in turn. Even though they told her that she already made them extremely proud just being their daughter, she just couldn’t help but try to push it farther.

Apprenticeship

Lilacpaw was apprenticed to a cat by the name of Fogfall. They were a wonderful mentor, kind and patient. This was mostly great, but it did lead to Lilacpaw’s indecisiveness becoming worse as Fogfall would give her all the time she needed to make a decision, and things just seemed to get longer, and longer. Unless the decision was life or death, she seemed impossible of making a quick determination of what to do. Thankfully this seemed to melt away when she was in the midst of hunting or battle, though it was a bit of a challenge for her to learn when a cat was trying to feint and confuse her.

It was around nine moons when she started realizing all the mutters the other cats had. Some were saying that she was just “too slow” because of her indecisiveness, and that it was her parent’s fault for the way they raised her. Angry that anyone would dare say the love and affection her parents had given her was wrong, she began to speak out against those that spoke badly of her parents. Some brushed her off as being a bratty apprentice, though some seemed to realize they were being a bit harsh.

Finally the time came for her assessment. She was to catch a rabbit—pretty standard assessment stuff. The rabbit made a split second turn and confused her momentarily, but it got tripped up on some heather and allowed her to catch it. She admitted this to Fogfall when she returned and her mentor said they knew, and because she had been honest she was still going to be given her warrior name. Lilacpaw brightened and asked if Fogfall wanted her to go catch another rabbit anyway, but they just laughed and said she was fine, no need to catch another.

Warriorhood

“Lilacdawn! Lilacdawn!” The sound of her new name rang out around the camp, with her parents calling it the loudest. She had made Lilyblossom and Smokecloud immeasurably proud of her, and now she was a full-fledged warrior of the Clan. It felt like a long time coming, but she was happy with how things had gone throughout her apprenticeship, even if it wasn’t as “exciting” as it was for some of the others. She’d have plenty of time to go on adventures with the new freedom she had as a warrior, without having to worry about being punished later for sneaking out of camp.

I’ll add more here later I promise
