Mantispaw turned around from Cricketpaw and the windclan apprentice. Clouded! "Hi! Cloudedpaw!" She squealed. Maybe Cloudedpaw could hang out with them! She just hoped Spiderpops wouldn't get mad that she's with a windclan cat. [Short post. Sry.]
Cloudedpaw turned his smile the opposite way to show that he wasn't interested. Buuuut... He was. Simple as that, he knew he needed to keep up his 'cool' status, and he wouldn't do that hanging around younger apprentices. On the other paw, Mantispaw was... Fascinating!

The grey tabby tom strolled after his clan mates, but not too close. He tried to find the best seat he could that was close to the leaders and far from everyone else. Falconbeak wasn't in the mood for socializing, but he did want to know what's happening in the other clans.
Riverclan did execute a cat for murdering Rodenteye but he wasn't satisfied. He wanted answers right from the leaders mouth. Bedsides, Bumblestar looks pissed so this may be an interesting gathering after.

Burr!!! It's coldcoldcold!! Lichenshock's thin coat does little to buffer against the biting chill of the wind. You'd think, growing up in WindClan, you know, the clan with open moorland and hardly a thing to shield the cold, that the warrior might be used to this, but there's a difference between leaf-bare wind chill and green-leaf wind chill. At least in green-leaf it's welcome.
"This better not take too long," she complains, pressing herself into the side of the nearest WindClan cat and trying to leech the warmth from them into her own smaller body. "If ShadowClan isn't here soon I'm gonna be so mad. I'm not built for the cold!!!"
[ open to any windclan cat to be whoever lichen is using as a blanket lmao ]
Fleetsmoke looked over at Lichenshock as the calico pressed against her, ice blue eyes narrowing. She couldn't help but agree with her. ''ShadowClan's been late the last couple; they're not making much of a difference tonight,'' She commented whenever Lichenshock was done complaining. ''Hey! Jasminepaw! Stay where I can see you, all right? And don't give out any vital information involving what's been going on with the Clan! You'll know whenever they try to pry it out of you, trust me.''

Brackenclaw would understand his feelings but would meow in his deep and dark voice. "I failed you did exactly what you were tasked with from Starclan you should be proud. Also if the Higher Ups think you deserve the rank of hornet then you obviously deserve it. And if I'm being honest I believe you deserve it too." Brackenclaw would meow.

Blinking gratefully at his clanmate's word, Raggedear gave a small shrug. "You didn't fail- it wasn't your prophecy to foresee. You did everything you could have." The tom paused. "I'm glad it was you with me on the journey. I had fun traveling together." He mewed, his mood clearly more cheery than it was before. "If you don't mind, there's some others I haven't seen since we left that I'd like to catch up with- that's what Gatherings are for!"
A wave of his plumy tail. "Let's catch up again over a sparring session!" He suggested as he began padding away. Now...where was she?
Snakefang chuckled slightly at Brokenstream's response and when he turned around. A success as far as she was concerned. Mintwhisper darting forward to see Duskleaf wasn’t much of a surprise, after all, she'd been ill for quite some time after Reedclaw died. Snakefang decided to sit back next to Riftpaw, watching in amusement as Duskleaf didn’t seem to know who Mintwhisper was. As Riftpaw asked the question, Snakefang tapped Duskleaf's shoulder with her tail to get his attention as well. "That's Mintwhisper; our mother." She said, loudly enough for every cat to hear. Maybe that would be a problem for Duskleaf if everyone knew since he was the only RiverClan cat in the family now, Snakefang didn’t even consider that though. She was a ThunderClan cat, so was her mother, nothing odd there.
Snakefang turned her head slightly as a young cat with brown fur roughly the same age as Riftpaw approached. Wait, he did seem familiar…ah yes! "Beaverpaw, how're ye?" She asked, patting the ground with her tail to invite him over.
Oh? And what was going on there? Snakefang perked her ears up to listen closely as another cat approached. Judging by this cat's scent, she was definitely RiverClan. Oh, that was interesting, they seemed very fond of each other. Why was she so interested in other cats' business? Who knows, although Snakefang realised her mother seemed to be as well…
Mintwhisper
50 Moons | She/Her | No purrks
ThunderClan Warrior
Her eyes filled with sadness. Her son didn’t even remember her…could she blame him? Mintwhisper and Reedclaw had agreed not to tell their kits, but Snakefang, being just as nosy as she was, worked it out pretty quickly and followed her out to meet Reedclaw one day. Duskleaf hadn’t known at all until Reedclaw's death. But Reedclaw always made an effort to see his family, always tried to be a father to both of his kits even though they lived in different clans. Was she in the wrong for not doing the same? After all, she hadn’t even seen her son since he was a kit. She never stopped worrying about him though, always tried to convince herself it was the best thing to do.
Then Snakefang did the most difficult part for her and told everyone. Mintwhisper let out a sigh of relief, before turning to look at her son again. "I…wanted to see you, but…" How could she even finish that? "I…I couldn’t…Snakefang told me your father died, I…I wanted to come and see you but…I wasn’t well for a long time…" She turned her head away sadly, noticing Snakefang seemed to be really interested in something, staring at a particular RiverClan warrior with golden fur and rosette markings. Okay, there had to be something interesting. A nosy cat by nature, Mintwhisper also perked her ears up to listen even though it had nothing to do with her. "So what'd ye think's going on, hen?" She whispered loudly to Snakefang, loudly enough that every single cat could hear, but she didn’t realise.
Duskleaf's jaw dropped as Snakefang revealed who this strange ThunderClan she-cat was. His…mother?! How?! He knew his mother was a ThunderClan cat, but always imagined she'd look like Snakefang, after all, he looked like Reedclaw so he always assumed his mother would look like Snakefang. But Mintwhisper didn’t look like either of them, she was a silver tabby. Duskleaf initially felt so confused, what was he even supposed to think? What was he supposed to feel? He just looked on in silence, conflicted, as Mintwhisper went on, saying that she wanted to see him after Reedclaw died, but couldn’t. He slowly stepped towards her again, resting his tail on her shoulder. He didn’t exactly miss her since he never even knew her, but he knew the sadness in her eyes was genuine. After all, he'd come to love Snakefang in some way after finding out she was his sister.
…Speaking of, what exactly was Snakefang doing? Duskleaf glanced over at his sister, who seemed to be intently listening in on Brokenstream and Blueberry's conversation? What in the stars? Mintwhisper seemed to be doing it as well when he turned to look at her, then was quite loudly gossiping? What was with these two? That was just rude! Duskleaf turned around to face Brokenstream and Blueberry. "I'm sorry about them…it seems the ThunderClan side of my family don’t know how to mind their own business…" He said the last part loud enough for Snakefang and Mintwhisper to hear. Although…not that his RiverClan side was any better. Reedclaw was every bit as bad in fact.
She was glad to not be a bother…and to not be cooped up in camp her whole life. BrokenStream was welcoming, not many others around him paid her much mind from what she could see, but she didn’t mind that. His…interesting attempt and mimicking her talking was honesty humorous to her, so her blinding smile simply grew some more and a friendly scoff escaped her. “Hey, don’t apologize, not everyone is.” she mused, scooting a bit closer for the sake of other body heat, and of course to share her fluff.
Oh- the worry came a shock to her, but nuh-uh, she was done being hovered over and coddled. So, BlueBerry simply shook her head and sighed. “I’m fine! Really, I would’ve died of boredom if I was stuck ‘resting’ any more.”
As Mintwhisper revealed her identity, Brokenstream turned his head slightly in interest. His gaze briefly flitted to Duskleaf, but only to nod that his secret was safe with him. He leaned his muzzle close to Blueberry's ear. "Please don't tell anyone Duskleaf is half ThunderClan. He's a RiverClan warrior through and through." The tom whispered, once again flashing Duskleaf an encouraging blink.
Pointedly ignoring what Mintwhisper and Snakefang were saying about him and Blueberry, he leaned into the she-cat as well. For warmth, of course. Though, his pelt did feel a little hot all of a sudden. "You need to rest though. No more outings after this or I'll tell Owlstar to guard your den herself!" He murmured teasingly.

Riftpaw blinked curiously at Mintwhisper. "So, she's ThunderClan too?" He asked Snakefang, icy blue eyes fixed on the snappy she-cat now. "Don't you guys wish you were in RiverClan together?" The young tom asked innocently. "We could all train and eat fish together!"

Well, Fleetsmoke at least seemed to agree with her, even as she gently chided Jasminepaw. The warrior wouldn't say anything about that, but she figured Jasminepaw was smart enough to know what and what not to share. Not her problem, though, so moving on.
"Bumblestar looks about ready to flay some cats, don't you think?" She comments, glancing up at ThunderClan's leader. "Wonder what that's about." She didn't comment on the new fish leader - that was almost as common as the weather changes by the day so it didn't warrant so much as a second glance.
Coldpaw
[ 4 moon | She / Her | Wc Tunneller Apprentice | Heightened Perception: Touch ]
A smile graced her maw at her mother's praise. She had been getting better. Despite her protests, Coldpaw had been practicing. It seemed to be paying off, even if this new territory left more blind than she had ever been. The ground was shifty and unstable, she had to walk slower than she ever had before and stood at constant risk of face-planting like she had before. Luckily, that hadn't been the case so far, and the young apprentice was content settling by her mother, returning the affectionate gesture by nuzzling into her mother's side.
This familiar warmth always put her at ease, it made her feel more comfortable than anywhere. She was unsure what it was. The familiar scent, the familiar beat of her heart, the familiar warmth. All of it at once. It was so odd, how she had an innate feeling that she always lacked this kind of affection. It was unfounded; mumma always held her close and nuzzled her head when she came to see her. So the lilac she couldn't understand why that feeling could be so persistent.
Her ears relaxed atop her head, loosing their erect state as she leaned against her mother. Her odd feeling aside, Coldpaw was surprised by the seeming lack of action at the gathering. She could tell other clans were present; her nose made sure of that. But there was a seeming lack of announcements, and she came to wonder if gatherings were often more business talk among the leaders than announcements. A part of her wanted to bud into the conversation, she was curious what these other leaders had to say; but she knew better than that, and resigned herself to intently listening to her mother talk while she kept warm at her side.
Jasminepaw blinked in surprise when she heard name being calling, turning to see it was Fleetsmoke. She dipped her head respectfully, though she felt the warning was largely unnecessary. She knew better than to give cats from other clans any information they could use against them, that was common sense wasn't it? But still... The cold drove her to slink over to her mentor and press up against her other side, nodding at Lichenshock in greeting. "It's cold..." She murmured, an explanation for why she was clinging now to her mentor's side. Definitely wasn't because she was anxious at seeing all these cats. Absolutely not.
