Yarrowkit’s ears swiveled when she heard Tuftedtusk’s voice. She perked up immediately, and bounded over to him. Beaming. “I’m here papa!” She mewed happily, settling herself between his massive paws. A rare moment of happiness and innocence.

He purred and began to wash between her ears. "Your getting so big, little leaf." He mewed as he tucked Yarrowkit into his fluffy belly fur. She needed to stay warm, especially since it was this frigidly cold. He glanced around the clearing. Where was Owlthroat? He spotted his mate and tried to wabe him over with his tail. He wanted Owl to finish speaking to that apprentice for sure though.
Pondlily blinked warmly at Tuftedtusk and Yarrowkit before searching the clearing for something.
Not something---someone.
Her eyes landed on the dappled tom who was her apprentice, and Pondlily called out to him with a wave of her tail. ''Hey, Rockpaw! Come over here and sit with me, okay?''
Eaglepaw, Brackenpaw, and Cougarpaw all huddled together at the edge of the clearing, their blue eyes all on Dawnstar, watching with interest. Meanwhile, Sootstorm and Larkbreeze sat beside each other nearby.

The Commander padded slowly, cautiously, towards the Grimpeak. He hated this. He hated leaf-bare. He hated how the ice felt on his paws. He hated the cold. His claws dug into the ice, allowing him to move over it. Green eyes would watch others slip and slide, and even the nuisance -- Houndkit -- failed to heed by his mother's warning and ended up with a bloody nose. Fortunately, there was already Sleepysunrise there and a mountain of kits around him. He'd be fine.
Hawkbite found himself headed straight for Mistlewhisker. The dark feline would surely help warm him up! Or, at least he'd hoped. He was shivering up a storm at this point! "H-h- hey you," he mustered out as he finally got up next to her side. He'd sit beside her, fluffing up his not-so-fluffy pelt to try to shield himself from the cold. Without much hesitation, he'd basically flop against her, leaning on her side so at least there was some warmth coming from her. He'd take some over none, especially if it was from his girlfriend.
Yarrowkit purred loudly as Papa Tufted gave her such undivided attention. Frankly, if Mimickit showed himself now she’d probably have to cut him if he tried to intervene. It was - annoyingly - rare for her to be doted on as much as she felt she deserved, and she was going to enjoy every moment she got to the fullest. She puffed out her chest when Papa Tufted commented on her increase in size. Purring proudly. “Well of course, Papa! I am 6 moons old now.” She boasted.
Yarrowkit almost protested to being tucked away…almost. Reputation de damned, it was way warmed snuggled up to her Papa than it was if she were going to try and be independent. Independence was for suckers right now, it was cold! She curled up tightly against her Papa, purring contently as she wrapped her thick, fluffy tail around her body.

Silentpaw stayed a decent distance away from the rest of the huddle group that called themselves ShadowClan, but close enough so he wouldn't be mistaken for disassociating. The medic apprentice lowered himself and tucked his paws underneath his fluffy belly, moving his body to a neat loafing position. The undeniable fact that the ground was basically ice did not help warm his paws or his body whatsoever, but it was definitely much better than sitting around in the Medicine Den lazily.

The life of motherhood is beyond bothersome. These stupid mini-mes keep making her anxiety skyrocket. Well, it was more just the two idiotic brothers than the whole litter. Her large golden orbs track her kittens' movements as they start popping up one by one. Weepingkit had already faceplanted in seconds after she had called a meeting. She didn't have to move to go fetch him as Hollowpaw was kind enough to grab the mousebrain.
But not long after that Houndkit comes bounding towards her and naturally runs straight into the grimpeak. And now he's got a nosebleed. Ughhhhh! How?! Weepingkit's whining about... dying maybe. Dawnstar needed to roll around his words a few times before she got the meaning. Whatever, they were causing a ruckus. Emberkit arrived not long after trying to mind her brothers while Scorpionkit meowed suggestions to get the bleeding to stop.
She still finds them all irksome, but she is glad they are all trying to help each other. The stronger the bond the less she had to worry about them wandering off or getting killed. These kits needed to protect and have each other's backs. Dawnstar came from a broken family and she did not want that for her kits, adopted or otherwise. She had lost all her chosen family, and now all she had left were her grandkids, Mistlewhisker, and these kits.
"Scorpionkit, Grottokit, Venomkit, Pantherkit, Foxkit, Blackkit, Mimickit, Spiritkit, Yarrowkit, Talonkit, Emberkit, Porcupinekit, Weepingkit, and Houndkit, come sit at my paws. Coyotepaw, Wormpaw, and Duskpaw. You three can sit behind them we'll do your ceremonies after." The clan leader orders. "And Parasites make sure you thank Sleepysunrise for the help."
