⋙ Slinking back into camp, the large black-and-white tomcat’s head hang low and his eyes looked sunken into his head, exhausted and miserable. One of his kittens, Otterkit, was... gone. She wasn't anywhere in camp, or the dens, or anywhere he'd searched through RiverClan's outer territory. He didn't think it was possible, but it felt like another chunk of his heart had been violently ripped out of his chest. His three daughters were the only part of Fawnlight he still had left, and now one of them had disappeared. Was it his fault? Cloudjumper felt his body shudder at the thought and he shook his head. Hadn't the young tomcat suffered enough? Hadn't he lost enough? Apparently not. He'd soon catch sight of a clan meeting that had just been called together, which only made him feel so much worse. His kits were old enough to become apprentices now, but.... it felt so wrong for Otterkit to not be here with her sisters.

Regardless, Cloudjumper attempted to swallow the newly-formed grief in his throat and padded silently over to the bustling crowd. Stormkit and Snowkit still needed his support today, and he'd be damned if he missed out on their apprentice ceremony. His blue-hued eyes would spot them both amongst the rest of the clowder of RiverClan cats. Stormkit, as per usual, looked eager enough for what was coming, but Snowkit... She appeared just as sad as him that Otterkit wasn't with them today. The massive curly-furred warrior padded over to the fluffy patched molly and sat down beside her, curling his bushy tail around Snowkit as a sign of comfort. "I'm so proud of you, kiddo. You're gonna be an amazing apprentice, I just know it." Cloudjumper then murmured to her quietly, his words being only for his daughter, "I love you all so much. Your mother... she's smiling from StarClan right now." He couldn't find the right words on what to say regarding Otterkit's disappearance, feeling like if he tried, he'd start crying. He needed to be strong for Snowkit and Stormkit.

Sunsetpaw went towards the meeting, hearing Bean....star's(?) call; clearly very excited! They wondered what this Beanstar will announce in this meeting this time. More apprentices? Warriors? Other things? Those guard ranks that Beanstar talked about last meeting? It could be about almost anything! Sunsetpaw looked around before finding a spot to sit, hopefully they'll be able to find a cat to talk to!

Beansprout seemed to be in a good mood. Firelight joined the gathering cats, wondering if Beansprout had finally gotten his nine lives, ensuring the stability of RiverClan. From what she could see, ever since Pikestar stepped down, Beansprout had proven to be a capable cat in the leadership role. It was too early into his leadership to be certain about anything, but he didn’t seem bad. If he hadn’t gotten his lives yet, she hoped he would get them soon. She didn’t want a promising leader to be killed so easily.

Raccoonpelt walked over from the nursery a dull look in his once shiny yellow eyes.

Flintkit stayed behind sitting at the opening of the nursery.

Minkkit waddled over and plopped down beside her brother, Flintkit. After a moment, she rearranged her paws and tail to copy his sitting position exactly.

Cardinal'Crest leaped up from where she had been sitting when she heard the leader's call. I've been waiting for something to do all day! She thought, practicly racing to the streamstone. I wonder if it will be an apprentice ceremony? Or something else? Invaders? I hope not... that wouldn't be good for the clan, even it it is a chance to prove my dedication to the clan... I don't want any-cat to get hurt.
