Honeystep heart skipped a step when she heard that she was going to be a mentor. A mentor already? She wad a pretty much fresh warrior but then again that just meant she could remember everything fresher!

She waited for her new apprentice to come over before she began to talk softly to not interrupt the meeting. "Hello Rabbitpaw, it is a pleasure to become your mentor. So you want to go out as soon as this meeting is over?" She said sweetly. This was almost like having a kid. How wonderful.

Eaglekit--no, Eaglepaw had never felt more joy in her life than right now. She had made it to an apprentice, and Mossypaw was right next to her. She twisted to look at her friend, a wide grin stretching across her fluffy face. "You got Dusklion! I'm kinda jealous!" While the headstrong warrior scared her a little, she had gotten to know her vaguely while healing her. Fadingsun, Dusklion's brother, was a mystery to her. But since the two were already close... "Maybe we can ask Dusklion and Fadingsun to train us together sometimes!!" That would be a real treat, wouldn't it? The apprentice twisted to look into the crowd towards Dusklion and Cobwebpaw, bouncing on her toes as if to say "look at me! I did it!"

As the apprentices broke off to greet their mentors, Eaglepaw padded over to Fadingsun, head held high. She greeted him with a big smile. "Hi! I'm so very excited to learn from you, Fadingsun." She reached her nose up to touch his, as she had seen other apprentices do.

minkpaw cheered for the new apprentices, chanting their names alongside the other cats, her mind was somewhere else though, all these new apprentices suddenly made her feel intense pressure to get herself together and become a warrior by the next meeting too..

Seabreeze found himself purring at the announced apprentices, soon they would have strong warriors that would act right and help make Riverclan as it was. Seabreeze almost wanted an apprentice of his own, teaching made him feel a bit more in his paws, almost as if he was reaffirming that he knew what he did and could help his clan...but he wasn't sure he could raise a warrior that was strong. Especially when looking at his performance during the raid. He should've done better- all he did was lose his temper and land a few measly hits. The tom found him wincing where he stood but quickly focused back into the meeting, calling out the apprentices' new names with a foreced cheer even though he really was happy about the apprentices,

"Bonepaw! Wishpaw! Rabbitpaw! Sparrowpaw! Eaglepaw! Berrypaw! Mossypaw! Wolfpaw! Tulippaw! Orchidpaw! Ghostpaw!" Wow, that was quite the list. Next was the reassignments, that was the other concern that Seabreeze had that lack of responsibility from mentors, sure Seabreeze didn't think he could teach fighting as he should be able to but he can admit that and get help if he needed when training his hypothetical apprentice. Not leave them to their own devices. Honestly, Adderpaw was performing her duties more successfully than most of their warriors.

Seabreeze sighed and looked towards Birdsnow again. He would just have to work that much harder. Hopefully, helping the kit set a headstart on their training would help mentors do their jobs more. The warrior turned to Adderpaw but didn't say anything. The tom knew that the molly would raise some fine warriors and be an even finer warrior herself when it was her time. In all honesty, perhaps it'll be the next meeting depending on when that is. Adderpaw was still a bit young for being a warrior. Seabreeze himself was only made a warrior this moon.

"Next time, I am sure." The tom whispered to Adderpaw, hoping to comfort her slightly. He hadn't really known Adderpaw but he knew of her aspirations.

Ough, that was a lot of new apprentices, Wrenpaw noticed with a frown as she called out what names she could remember. Her den was going to be way to squished with so many new bodies. But none of this was exciting!! She wanted to know if there were plans for battle! She wanted to know who the new deputy was going to be and she wanted to know what Birdsnow had to say about RiverClan's current situation. They were down like, every possible rank right now and that was frustrating and annoying. She'd been just a kit when Larkstar was made leader a moon after Gingerstar, and she was so small when Beanstar, the leader before them was alive. Wrenpaw had never known a RiverClan with stable high ranks. Perhaps Birdsnow would usher in the change the clan needed? Wrenpaw used to think Larkstar would do that, but that coward of a cat vanished in the night and no one's seen or scented so much as one of her whiskers.

Impatience prickled on the she-cat's pelt as she narrowed aquamarine eyes at her new clan leader, scrutinizing the way Birdsnow snapped at the others in the clan who irked her but still remained gentle with the apprentice on the Floodstone with her. Birdsnow was cool. Wrenpaw kinda wanted some cool scars like she had.

Duststorm finally drifted to the back of the crowd and listened. Her ears shot up at Bonepaw's name. She yowled in excitement, almost bouncing with joy. She purred but paused as his mentor was called. Her joy mixed with shock. She'd never heard of this cat. Bluefang?

She harbored no ill feelings, and kept her eyes bright. Birdsnow was a tough hairball, and knew what choices needed to be made.

Probably... a good choice. She tried convincing herself she wasn't upset.
Though Duststorm couldn't help but feel a little twinge of hurt. Her tail swished as she fell quiet.

It may have only been a few times, the training she offered him, but she had wanted to take Bonekit all the way, through his apprenticeship, to his final name. She wanted to purr and share the fact that they didn't have to quit. Sitting, she lowered her eyes.

I hardly passed my own apprenticeship. Why would I ever get an apprentice? She sighed. This was a fun ceremony. She shouldn't sour it with her ill begotten jealousy.

Raising her head, she offered her kind gaze, but could no longer muster the energetic yowling she wished to give.

Listening to BirdSnow make some kits apprentices he couldn’t help but dread the idea he might be assigned one, before he’d probably have been happy to receive an apprentice- sorta? He couldn’t exactly recall whether or not he wanted one. Anyhow, flutter paw had been a great apprentice. One of a kind, he couldn’t linger on hating the idea of getting an apprentice forever though and he definitely couldn’t linger on flutterpaw’s death. When it was time to cheer, he cheered making sure his voice was extra loud today. ‘Bonepaw! Wishpaw! Rabbitpaw! Sparrowpaw! Eaglepaw! Berrypaw! Mossypaw! Wolfpaw! Tulippaw! Orchidpaw! Ghostpaw!’ hopefully none of their mentors slacked.

Oh dear, that certainly was a lot of new apprentices. There was no way the poor tom was ever gonna remember them all, so he may as well breeze over this bit, and make a noise that sounded like he was cheering their new names. This plan was stumped however, when he heard his name uttered -thankfully before that of his apprentice's, so he had time to recollect himself- and he was given another apprentice. Didn't he already have one? Sunsetpaw. Why didn't Birdsnow give someone else a go?

Then again, maybe he should be seeing this as a honor. Maybe she thought he was a good enough warrior that he could train two apprentices. Maybe he could! So, Sparrowpaw.
First step of training your apprentice: Find them.
Probably the hardest part when you do not know who they are.
