Silverleopard emerged from the warriors’ den, her thick, fluffy tail swaying idly behind her as she made her way over to the apprentices’ den. She stuck her head in, calling out for one of her apprentices.

“Starlingpaw!” The warrior said, voice firm yet quiet to avoid waking any of the other apprentices. “C’mon and get up. I’m taking you out for your tour of the territory today.”

Starlingpaw was already awake, huddled close to some poor apprentice whom he subjected to his anxieties. He hadn't slept at all last night- Insomnia truly was annoying. The dark ginger and black apprentice looked up to find his mentor, Silverleopard, looking for him. Bright amber eyes glinted, and the tom bounded quickly out, pawsteps quick and light, as though he would jump up at any moment. Oh wait, Territory Tour?? That sounded alright... But they wished Foxkit could have gone. Starlingpaw pressed himself close to Silverleopard's side, fur against hers, and remained silent. He was ready!
