*+:｡.｡　the elder managed to drag herself out of her nest, her paws strong and her eyes wise with age, she huffed as she sniffed with a upset huff, her nest needed cleaning and she knew she might have a tick or two. "Kits gotta know how ta clean!" she meowed with a grumble, she was normally nice, but with a itchy pelt and a dirty nest? no no no, not a happy gal. "you kits wanna be apprentice one day? ya gotta know how to clean!" she meowed "come on, get over here, ya gotta learn one way or anotha!" she made sure she yowled to get those kits attention because her pelt was v e r y itchy...ugh...could kits even use mouse bile? eh, that apprentice silentpaw could help em.　｡.｡:+*

Petalkit poked her head outside the nursery, hearing the event. She quickly padded over, settling down in front of the elder, her eyes wide and her ears perked up.

He heard an elder call for kits. Strange. He hadn't seen one in moons, not that he was conscious for much of it. Cleaning? This was the second time this week he'd thought about cleaning. It was always the adults talking about how they should maintain their fur or whatnot. Eelkit didn't understand it, but kept himself clean nonetheless.

His pale yellow eyes glanced over at the cats present: Sparkfire... Petalkit... Thistlekit.

One, two three... Perfect.

Eelkit was satisfied and marveled at his odd work before settling himself down near Petalkit.

Rosemarykit groaned, but hobbled over on three legs.

"guess its only ya little kittens, such a shame, a shame indeed" she grumbled as she dragged herself forward a bit. "now, listen up, to those who came over here, ya gonna do some apprentice duties, course its not a lot, you see tis? ma legs are paralyzed, meanin they don't work, and that's when a apprentice comes in, they help us oldens with cleanin our nest n such." she explains the best she could "course, these apprentice don't got no elder to care for when they mentors ain't send them dis way." she growled. "now, im gonna get right to it" her whiskers twitched "6 of ya...we gonna make this a game, ya gonna collect moss from em trees in camp, so get to it!"　｡.｡:+*

Moss from tree? What was the moss for? He'd never seen anyone clean themselves with moss, nor has he ever pulled moss from a tree. This...elder...certainly had strange habits. He always thought cleaning himself with his tongue was enough. Eelkit shuffled himself slowly towards the trees Sparkfire mentioned, and gripped onto the lush greens with his tiny claws.
