You might be wondering what this is; this is a finder that was meant to be posted on Valentine's Day last month. But, oh well! It is here now. So let's move on to what this is actually about: Sleepysunrise's romantic life. Sort of.

This is a Love Interest finder for Sleepysunrise, but a simple Love Interest is not what I am looking for:

So what am I looking for?

First and foremost, a friend.

Those of you who know her, or have read recent posts, may be aware that Sleepysunrise struggles with some things. She does and always has struggled with the concept of love, believing it is something she needs to earn through hard work and achievements, and still feels inadequate next to her younger siblings. Beyond that, she has been struggling with hallucinations that do have their triggers, but can come up at any time. Nor has she ever had a proper control over her own thoughts, and with recent events, it has been pushing her into a more volatile state of mind. She is paranoid, on edge, and often has/hears violent and even irrational thoughts whether she wants to or not.

She is currently not ready to engage in a relationship. But that doesn't mean I can't prepare. This is a friend finder first and foremost, that I hope will eventually grow into something more. And for various reasons, it is highly beneficial that she meets her future partner early in life, the reason for which you may be privy to later on.

What would be ideal in this future partner:

She needs someone that is currently able to look past her outward behaviour, someone that will not give up on her because of what she has done or will do. Maybe they remember when she used to patiently wait day in and day out until her mother came home, or maybe they give everyone the benefit of the doubt; maybe they outright hate her, but sees a glimpse of something else within her that isn't all bad, more so misguided and not entirely accustomed to others. Granted this makes Sleepy sound like some monster, but she is mostly seen as weird, meek and lacks a proper moral compass.

Do not get me wrong, when it comes down to it, I do not want this character to look past all her wrong doings: Sleepysunrise is a flawed character, and forever will be flawed. She has mercilessly killed in the past, and is still seen as an odd and cold figure around the clan, and will have you discreetly tell me your favourite colour if you've read this. She is going to make mistakes and do many more things that are quite questionable. It's a part of who she is, or at least, whom she has formed herself to be and should be held accountable, just as any other. Eventually Sleepysunrise will need time to find her own voice and morals hopefully with proper support, even if that time is not right now. Your character is entirely justified in disliking her if that is how they are.

But at the end of the day, once their friendship is established, she needs someone that won't give up on her even when she is at her lowest. Perhaps a someone that can help her see that love isn't something to be earned but given, someone with whom she can feel comfortable enough to just have a bit of fun and relax. A steady, comforting presence in her life that might just help her onto a brighter path throughout their challenges. After all, she really isn't all bad. These are just some ideas, but something to consider!

What to expect?

Regardless of how their friendship (and hopefully someday relationship) turns out, if they don't implode within the first few interactions, this will likely be a long-term engagement. I am not saying "a few weeks" long-term, but more like "several months to a year" long term. This is going to be a slow process, but interesting as well.

So how do you apply? When is this due? The process of this finder will be a bit different:

- This finder does not have a due date. It will be open indefinitely until I state otherwise, though placeholders may be bumped every so often. This means you are still free to keep applying at any time.

- Your application can be anything: I am looking for creativity and commitment to the character and dynamic. Give me plot ideas, an interesting dynamic to start them off with, throw all your thoughts at me -- even if it's just one big post of you yapping about your ideas, that is perfectly fine. Just give me information about your character, as much as you can, and tell me about what you think they would be like, tell me about all your thoughts regarding the pair, tell me your ideas! This is not a be-all-end-all, but to help you along.

- Pre-existing and newly made are both fine, but I will be looking at your posts with the character.

- Characters will not be accepted in the traditional sense: as applications come in, regardless in which state they are, I will set up rps between Sleepysunrise and any character I might find interesting for her, until hopefully something just clicks. This is because I do not want to force the friendship or relationship just because of the character.

- The character will have to be ShadowClan, around the age of 17 to 23 moons as of March 7th 2025, and I reckon she has a slight preference for the future partner to be male.

- Do not mention me, I will be checking this thread regularly!
