Now if only she'd managed to catch Cinderpaw and the other siblings before windclan set out... Look there was Rookpaw on her lonesome without Rainpaws help! We'll she at least thought it was help, it was probably more of an attack with the intention of care.
The main point was Peachpaw and Coldpaw, who'd been caught before the gathering group set out, had been attacked for an impromptu grooming session and now were looking their best as Rainpaw had made them as pretty as possible. They needed to look their best to meet their fated foes again after all! She had no doubt Dawnstars stinky children would be present and she would NOT let her side of the battle be shown up.
So here she was, leading the trio (because she wasnt really giving them a choice) into the seastones, tail on the side of Coldpaws shoulder to guide her path. With Peacepaw on her other side even she couldnt get into trouble on the way over. "This place is much better when not freezing and covered in snow. You can feel the sand now, isnt it weird?"
It was better then mud at least, made your pelt less dirty but the granules were itchy in an odd way, the soil all flowy compared to windclans packed ground.
"And we're the first here! As we should be as the best clan~"
The best clan seemed to have the grumpiest leader looking at Twilightstar however. Oooooh but Leechscar was present tonight, Rainpaw grinned and waved at him but didnt leave the group.

Racoonpaw barely had time to brace herself before a cat barreled into her, knocking her shoulder with an abrupt force. She spun around, eyes wide, only to find a familiar face—full of energy, of course. "Oh, it's you," she huffed, but a small grin tugged at her mouth, her tail flicking with a mix of irritation and amusement. "Didn't see you coming." She shook herself off, then straightened up. "I'm fine," she said, a little too quickly. "Just... first Gathering, y'know? Bit underwhelming. I thought there'd be more, uh, action? But it's just WindClan so far. Not that I mind, but c'mon, where are the others? I want to see some ShadowClan drama! Some ThunderClan bravado! RiverClan? Ha! They're all the same." She let out a little sigh and glanced around again, her paws shifting restlessly. "It’s just... quiet, y'know? Too quiet. And I'm definitely not here for boring." Racoonpaw looked back at the other apprentice, her ears flicking. "So what about you? You look like you're just itching to do something. What's got you all worked up?" Racoonpaw glanced up at Rookpaw as she joined them, her mismatched eyes glinting with amusement despite the quiet tension in the air. The waves in the distance crashed loudly, but she seemed unfazed by the noise, her focus shifting back to her sister with a flick of her tail. "ShadowClan apprentices, huh?" Racoonpaw repeated, her voice dropping into a mockingly serious tone. "Oh, I’ve heard all about them. Apparently, they’re the 'mysterious' type. You know, the ones who always lurk in the shadows and act like they have secrets." She snorted, clearly unimpressed. "Sounds like a bunch of melodrama to me." She leaned in a little closer, eyes glinting. "But you wanna know what I think? They’re probably just a bunch of overhyped, grumpy cats who think they're tough 'cause they hide in the dark all the time. ShadowClan's always been full of those kinds." Racconpaw flicked her tail dismissively, her grin widening. "I’m not worried about them. If they want competition, they’ll get it. WindClan’s got the speed, the grit, and the attitude—we don’t need to hide in the shadows to prove ourselves." She glanced around, her gaze sweeping over the quiet clearing. "Let them show up. We’ll show 'em what it really means to stand out." @Rani @Estelle @Ian (if yall want to join Rookpaw Racconpaw and shrikepaw) @goodacacia @sleepyyjax

Vinesmoke let out a soft, forced laugh, his smile a little too wide. "Oh, I’m just tired, Windpaw," he said, his voice overly chipper. "Been a lot on my mind, but nothing I can’t handle." He flicked his tail, hoping to brush it off, but the truth lingered under his words. Inside, his thoughts drifted to Owlpaw and Wildfire. Owlpaw’s quiet strength, the way she always seemed to know when he needed someone to talk to, and the warmth she brought just by being near. Wildfire was different—fiery, intense, full of passion. His heart ached for both of them, for the ways he loved them, but in different ways, and how neither one of them could know the depth of what he felt. It was too complicated, too tangled to untangle. He blinked, bringing himself back to the present. "I miss them," he said, his voice quieter now, the mask slipping just slightly. "Owlpaw... Wildfire. They mean a lot to me." His gaze flickered away for a moment, his tail still, as if he was trying to hold back something that wanted to spill out. But he quickly forced a grin back onto his face, shaking his head lightly. "But yeah, I’m alright. Just a little tired, like I said. Thanks for asking." He tried to make it sound normal, but there was something in his voice that hinted at a deeper ache
This was probably the most exciting thing to happen so far in his life. His first gathering! How awesome was that? Maybe he'd find some less boring cats to hang out with...not that he thought the other Clans would really be too entertaining. But! This would be a great way to get intel and make...friendships. Not that he wanted friends from other Clans, but he knew it could prove useful in the future. Now, who to talk to...

Badgerfoot sat, tail curling around his paws. He hated gatherings, he liked hearing the news but no one ever wanted to talk to him and that made him...upset? jealous? lonely? He didn't really know. All he knew was that he was distant from the others and some days he was fine with it but gatherings really made him feel a thing he didn't quite understand.

Coldpaw
[ 7 moon | She / Her | Wc Tunneller Apprentice | Heightened Perception: Touch ]
Choice or not, Coldpaw appreciated the vigour with which Rainpaw - and now Peachpaw too - ensured she didn't face any trouble on the way here. The thought of traps hadn't even crossed her mind, it was mostly the idea of losing her way and falling down some hole that bothered her. Having her brother and her sister at her side helped calm that one bit of worry, encouraging her to walk with a quicker step than she normally would. Especially when they reached the sandy Seastones. Coldpaw had an unpleasant shiver run down her spine the moment she felt the sand beneath her paws, her steps instantly growing more careful. It was so shifty, awful for a cat who already struggled not to fall over her own paws.
"I don't like it... The sand. It keeps shifting."
Coldpaw answered. At least it wasn't cold, she supposed. A small smile spread across her maw hearing Rainpaw talk, ear flicking; "We'll have all the choice -- oh.. Are you waving at someone?"
She felt her sister's body shift at her side and perked up, ear angling to try and hear the big brother she didn't yet realise was near. Her face contorted curiously, sniffing the air to try and figure it out, however. "Is someone there?"
She ended up asking, letting Rainpaw take the lead of their walk towards their seats.

Ferncurl purred as he said that, which only grew louder as her mate turned his head to groom her. She turned her own head to start licking his fur smoothly, flattening the messier parts of his gorgeous, colourful fur. "Dream, see, he's a good one! You'll give me your blessing for the relationship, yes?" Ferncurl asked, still purring, flicking her fluffy sister with her smooth golden tail.

Dreamheart cracked a smile at his words, and dipped her head, ears twitching. "That's good. And yes Ferncurl, I'm happy for you. May you have a happy life together." The pale blue warrior looked at the two of them, happy. Would she ever get something like that? "Just don't forget to tell me when the kits are!" Dream jokingly said, lifting a paw to clean her face and ears. "I want some nieces and nephews!" Grinning, the blue she-cat turned her unfocused eyes back to the Gathering.

| Lightningstorm | 28 Moons - WindClan Medicine Cat Flock Together [Tier 3] - Active | Mind Reader - Active | Dreamwalker - Active | Katty Krueger - Inactive
Exhaustion enveloped the WindClan medic like a warm blanket, her large ears threatening to droop with her lack of energy. Having to appear much more peppy and cheery than she was anywhere close to feeling was yet another drain upon her already lacking reserves, and a part of the lithe calico wondered if perhaps it would have been a good idea to eat before coming here. Then again, she'd never been the type to eat much, and she was fairly certain she wouldn't keep her meal down if things got heated up this gathering. She was already stressed enough. The thought of her current patient, Cottonpaw, and his devastating injury was always in the back of her mind, and she couldn't help but worry about Rabbitpaw and his restarted training. Had she inadvertently sent him to one doom when swiftly accepting his step down in her desperate attempt to save him from another?
Shaking such thoughts out of her mind, Lightningstorm glanced around the clearing, realizing that WindClan seemed to be alone at the Seastones this moon. What a bother. She always hated when they had to wait... especially on the colder moons. Couldn't they take first place exclusively during greenleaf and be last every other season? A melodramatic sigh escaping her, she turned momentarily to speak to her apprentice... only to remember he was not there. Right. She was alone this gathering. Not a problem, she supposed. Stars knew she was alone for plenty of them after Cowtuft had been exiled, and her mind had been a much bigger mess back then. There was little more to do now than to grin and bear it before she could collapse in her nest for a small rest.
Adopting a happy-go-lucky smile, the herbalist took to the medic's perch with a skip to her step. No point in looking as gloomy and tired as she felt. Gatherings were all about that diplomatic game of cat and mouse, in which the moment you showed a sign of weakness, you inevitably became the feast for the others to pounce on. Settling on her usual spot, she allowed herself only a yawn before curling her tail over her paws, a half amused glance tossed in Crowtooth's direction as the tom flattened himself against the rock.
