the dark waters below

Hello! With a few changes being made, and some roleplays that I had wanted to do for Fawnpaw being altered, I am setting up this plot! It will take place once the territory expedition is over, and is pretty simple!

While walking around camp, Fawnpaw will ask [WARRIOR] to accompany her out in the territory to walk along the edge of the stream for flowers. They have a nice conversation, get to talking, all that good stuff. As they're walking, Fawnpaw spots a rather pretty plant - but it's hanging way over the water. She promises [WARRIOR] it'll be alright and stretches as far as she can reach to try and get it... but ends up falling in.

Immediately she will be shocked with how cold the water is and sort of freeze as the current carries her downstream. She'll do her best to try and swim, but with only one lesson under her paws so far it'll be difficult, and she will almost drown. That is, until [WARRIOR] jumps in and ends up saving her, hauling her to safety on the bang further down the line.

Shivering, wet, and cold, Fawnpaw will cling to whoever pulls her out. During her near-death experience she will have practically seen her "life flash before her eyes" in a sort of way. Eventually she'll be warmed up by [WARRIOR] and brought back to camp, but her view on the water will have forever changed. Now, she's terrified of it and refuses to go anywhere near it. Though secretly, she does wish to one day conquer that fear.

That's pretty much it! All I need is one warrior who is willing to be apart of this plot! Fawnpaw will grow attached to them so as long as they're alright with her considering them close to her, they're good to be applied!

No real requirements other than it has to be a RiverClan warrior

And no form either - just list your character below and tell me why they would fit this plot.

i am always more than willing to offer up beansprout

i think with the training roleplay + this (also the unintentional foreshadowing to swimming??

) he would absolutely take her under his wing and lean into his dad side, hugs and bad jokes included

I've got Bluebellcrackle!

They've interacted before (which i need to finish one and get started on another sweats), and Bluebell actually has a mild fear of water herself, so like. She'd totally get it lol. She's already attached to Fawnpaw and I actually do want to explore their relationship more and this would be a neat way of doing it? Idk they're cute and I want more of them

I feel like this would be a great introduction for the two to have, especially if Feather can begin the adoption process with the rest of her Viking family.

Fawn and Stag bonding!

It would be pretty good to kinda jumpstart Stagfrost warming up to her, and would fit after their swimming lesson. Stagfrost went through a traumatic experience himself (though his was a little bit worse) which caused him to not be able to sleep properly or be out at night at all until his close friend helped him work through and come to terms with it over their apprenticeship together, so he'd want to give Fawnpaw the same help anyway, and then their relationship could grow from there.

If you want to read/skim through that part of his life it's the 3rd to last paragraph in the 'Apprenticeship' part of his history, but it's not necessary.

i have splashstripe AND i really need to get him roleplaying, he kind and loyal protective as can be and he loves apprentices

I'd love to offer Blizzardwind! He's fairly attached to Fawnpaw, as she is sort of a daughter to Snowleap, and Snowleap is sort of a son to Blizz, so he'll be super freaked out over her and be pretty desperate to keep her safe. He might take her out for a swimming lesson after she's recovered, too

after some self deliberation, i will be selecting beansprout! their current roleplay where he teaches her to fish has got me in love with these two, and i feel like it would really lead to them becoming closer

+ everyone else who applied: because i adore fawnpaw (and because she is somewhat based off of myself) she will be involved in many roleplays, so i will be keeping this thread as a list for future interactions!!
