Huh, having an apprentice was easy so far! Mudhound wasnt sure what other mentors were occasionally complaining about in the warriors den. Lotuspaw was happy to learn, eager, and absorbed everything! They should get through this in a flash!


Alright now the creek! Leading the molly into the clearing of trees around the stream, which was babbling happily, the tripod took a moment to roll around in the dirt half an eye on their apprentice. It was a perfect sunny day and the creek was a perfect sunny place, shallow enough to not be dangerous and flush with prey. So a place for a good hunting lesson! ....Eventually. For now introductions!
"Ok so this is the Sunkissed creek! As you probably know there was a fight here recently! Shadowclan were being mean and trying to take it, but we fought them off and won! And now its still ours!"
Mudhound had a few cuts from all that and almost did something real bad but it was fine! They stopped in time and didnt regret any of the damage that occurred to them because of it.
"Uuuuuh the creek is nice to be in if you like water (yuck not for me its too soggy) and theres lotsa prey! Ya just gotta be careful sometimes, if not patrolled enough some big baddies can den here."
Did Mudhound know what these 'baddies' were? NOPE! They'd only heard of the predator issue secondhand from other warriors given Bumble-sis had this place well patrolled enough to not let any dangers den here. Still, the warning was here for a reason and wouldnt hurt to pass on.


"Uuuuh prey is basically everything! Plus minnows and fishies! Everything needs water after all. If you can find a cat that knows how to swim heres the place to learn but its not gonna be me, sorry. I cant swim. Oh! I cant climb either with the leggie so Im gonna look for someone to teach you that while I go do...... A thing. Ill explain later."
With a small grin albeit an apologetic one the warrior rubbed their big flat head against the dirt, wiggling happily. They did want to teach Lotus everything, but sometimes doing the best for a cat meant knowing what you couldnt do for them. And if doing the best for her meant finding another cat? Mudhound would find the best.

For now they could do well enough by answering questions though! So the warrior sat and waited for either that or the ok to go once the apprentice had explored enough.

~as a recap, we are after cobwebs and marigold. Berryfrost can go first, as Cinnamon is on vacation!~

It was the will of StarClan that he guided the herb-gathering patrol in the direction he was supposed to, as he had completely forgotten and set out in what he hoped was the right way. Maybe, just maybe, his paws were able to remember the territory where his mind couldn’t. That’s what paws were for, right?

He knew he was after… something. That cat had given them orders, and he hoped they were able to decipher what it was and could remind him. Spottedfire didn’t speak for a few moments, merely putting his nose to the ground and sniffing for… something. Why would he remember this stuff; why was he supposed to lead for that matter? He wanted to make ThunderClan proud. Maybe this was the way to do it.

”Can… one of you… remind me what we’re… doing?”

The russet she-cat pittied SpottedFire. It didn't take anyone good at reading emotions to tell that Spottedfire was forgetful. She knew what it was like to forget things. She'd lost half of her life in a monster accident.

She nodded at GlowPaw's words "Yep. Cobwebs and marigold." She said in her monotone vice.

He nodded to both Glowpaw and Berryfrost's words. Marigold and... cob... cob. Cob something, that's what they said. But the most important thing that was he wasn't alone, and not only that, but they seemed much more able to remember the things that were important. Good... that was good. He desperately wanted to ask them yet again, but it seemed too soon, so he sniffed around and tried to remember if the cat had said anything about what the plant smelled like.

It was then his nose brushed against one of the golden plants and he reared up and sneezed, it having had tickled his snout. Mari... gold. Gold. This flower was the right color, right?! He purred, carefully plucking the flower from its place and padding excitedly to Glowpaw and Berryfrost. "Is this it?!

It was either... a dandelion, or a marigold. He couldn't tell.

The russet and emotionless she-cat's gaze scanned the area. She found some cobwebs up in a tree under a branch. She grabbed a stick and shimmed up the tree trunk. She twirled the stick around a cobweb and then jumped down. She felt something underneath her white paws.

'Marigolds!' She thought and plucked them up. She heard SpottedFire ask something.

"Good job." She congratulated him "That's marigold."

Wildtwist's eyes lit up with happiness. He could become a hornet if he spared? Alright! "Thank you, Bumblestar. Sounds like a plan. Should we go now?" he asked the leader. He knew a spar would be hard. Bumblestar was an experienced leader, but they knew they could do it. Even if they couldn't, they would still be proud. His green eyes beamed with pride.

Bumblestar left camp with Wildtwist hopefully in tow. She didn't want to get her own hopes up about this, so she wouldn't say anything that might be too revealing. And when she reached the break in the trees that opened up to the creek and moved to just beside the bank, she glanced over at him. "Claws sheathed, 'till either of us concedes. Your move first."

The fluffy young warrior followed his leader to the creek. He turned to face her as she spoke. He nodded before crouching down. his gaze flicked around, looking for where he could attack from. He spotted somewhere from the side he could attack. He leaped over, and quickly twisted back to bumblestar. He propelled his hind legs, boosting himself forward. He aimed for the leader's side, attempting to bowl her over.

Why did they always go for the lunge first? It was so predictable, and Bumblestar was immediately bored every time she saw it. For a cat with such an interesting name, he sure pulled the most basic move the first chance he got.

Bumblestar side-stepped the lunge and quickly reached out with a paw, looking to hook both legs out from under Wildtwist and send him crashing to the ground. If she succeeded she'd attempt to pin him down with her teeth on his scruff.

The ThunderClan warrior smirked as bumblestar stepped away. Just what he was expecting. He tucked his body, making a giant ball of fluff passing. He tumbled to the ground, spinning upwards before smirking at his leader. "Basic, I know," they said, looking around the area. "But I do have a plan," he called, padding into some patches of grass. Slowly, he made his way through, being careful not to make the grass shake. Once they were downwind, the crouched. His gaze flickered to her tail. If he could pull her tail, it would imbalance the leader. And he could pin her. He reached out to grab it. If he could, he would pull it to unbalance the leader.
