Personality:

Aspenstrike is more serious, not really much of a jokester. Not a big fan of jokesters, either, but in her eyes, they’re better than pranksters or show-offs, because she doesn’t appreciate being annoyed or pranked or bombarded with arrogant furballs who want to look superior. When she does joke around (When she loosens up, or is reprimanding someone), her style is more sarcasm and dry humor. Snappy comebacks are also a thing of hers, which she never lets an insult go without a dry retort.

Her loyalty and confidence are strong points in her personality, but haven’t always been. When she was male (and right after she changed), her confidence and self esteem levels were very low, because she felt lost and confused. A time she resented, because of the weakness and uselessness she portrayed. But now, currently, she is working as hard as possible to be strong and loyal, and it’s working.

Ambition is also a key player in Aspenstrike’s personality. She always dreamed of being the best warrior she could be, the best warrior for herself and for her Clan. Of course, by any means, she would love to become deputy. She saw it as a promotion, more power to help her Clan. She has ideas, good ideas, ways to improve the Clan and keep them safe, and becoming deputy and possibly leader would help her execute those plans quicker.

Backstory

Just a sum of her life so far, once more events take place, they will be added.

Unlike other cats who are closed off or over serious, she didn’t have a tragic backstory, with heartbreak and death and other mushy stuff such as that. Quite a normal childhood, to say the least. Other than the,” trying to find yourself” phase. One day, she was sick and tired of scrambling around, trying to come out and admit who she was to her Clanmates, she took the reins and steered her life back on track, working twice as hard as she did before, just to get on top, be superior to the cat she was before.

Aspenkit was born as the first-born son of two ThunderClan cats, Grousewing and Honeyleaf. He had a sister named Amberkit, and a brother named Acornkit. Aspenkit was always playing (or trying to play) with the other she-kits. They would giggle and run away from him, and he was always confused why. He felt like a she-kit, but no cat treated him like one! So, perhaps in a rebellious way, he started wearing flowerings entangled in his fur and began acting like a she-cat. He would copy Amberkit’s actions and movements. When Aspenkit was 4 moons old, his mother took him to the side and explained what transgender meant. He insisted that he was a tom, to act cool, and said that he had no idea what she was talking about.

When Aspenkit became an apprentice, he received an older cat for his mentor. Her name was Gorseflower, and she was fair and kind. He grew close to her, and confessed many things. She would laugh and say reassurance. Gorseflower encouraged him to be who he wanted to be, whoever and whatever that may turn out to be. Aspenpaw worked as hard as possible, but always felt depressed, and that was a distraction. He was horrible at hunting, but great at fighting because he lived for planning the moves thoughtfully.

When Aspenpaw became a warrior, Gorseflower moved to the elders den. Her health suffered, and as she died, she had confessed that he was like a son to her. Her dying request was that he always followed his heart. Aspenpaw became Aspenstrike, named after his signature battle move. Soon, he received his first apprentice, Lynxpaw. He loved her like a daughter, as Gorseflower had loved him, and put every waking moment into building her up to becoming the most amazing warrior possible. But then, during the coyote attack, Lynxpaw was protecting the nursery when a coyote attacked her. Aspenstrike tried to save her, but was dragged to the ground by another coyote. When his Clanmate Ashpool helped fight the coyote off, but Lynxpaw was nowhere to be found. Instead of getting his wound treated, Aspenstrike tracked Lynxpaw’s scent for hours after the attack, but when he found her, she was on the riverbank, dying. He sat by her, cradling her head in his paws, whispering reassurance and promising her that StarClan would honor her. Her final breath broke his heart, and he collapsed into sobs. He had lost so much blood, he managed to drag himself to camp before he blacked out.

Lynxpaw’s death reminded him of the conversation with Gorseflower, and he finally decided that he would follow his heart. He became trans, changing his gender to female. It was a low point in her life, and everything began to slowly get better. Her mother had another litter of kits, she received a new apprentice two moons after Lynxpaw died. Her name was Irispaw, and they are now as close as she once was with her former apprentice. Now, Aspenstrike is looking forward, secretly dreaming to be deputy under Eveningstar’s rule.

Grousewing~ Father~ I love my father, he is supportive, but I wish he didn’t patrol so much when I was a kit, I would be closer to him.

Honeyleaf~Mother~She was really nice, though it didn’t really feel like she was my mother for a while, and she never paid any attention to me until she found out I was different.

Acornpatch~Litter Brother~I love him like crazy, though I wish he didn’t challenge me so much.

Amberflight~Litter Sister~She’s awesome! I wish she didn’t flirt so much, it gets obnoxious. And I didn’t like how she ran away from me when I tried to hang out with her and her friends.

Beekit~Little Brother~ He is so cute! He is so chubby and round, and his eyes melt my heart!

Marshkit~Little Sister~ I love her! Short and round, and she smells good. Kind of whiny, but all kits are.


Buckstar~Former Leader~He was a great leader, I wish Lionstorm never killed him. I never met him, though.

Eveningmist~Leader/Role-model~ I’ve never talked with him. But I admire him because he is trans too, and is in a superior position.


Lynxpaw~Former Apprentice~I miss her so much! I feel like I failed her. Her last moments by the river broke my heart, because I saw her as a daughter.

Irispaw~Apprentice~ She is a little feather-brained, but I am too. She works hard and doesn’t complain much, and I appreciate that.


Lionstorm~Enemy~ I hate him! He murdered my Clanmates, and I want revenge!



ThunderClan~ ThunderClan is my life, I love my Clanmates, and I will die for it and serve it beyond death.

RiverClan~ Those fish-faces are annoying, and I hate their former leader, Lionstorm. But it isn’t their fault, so I guess they’re okay.

WindClan~ I met some at a Gathering once, a little jumpy, and kind of wimpy, but nice enough.

ShadowClan~ Hotheaded and violent. Maybe that’s how you describe their crazy leader, but I keep my distance.

Toms, was asexual when she was male, because she always looked for love in she-cats but never found it. The thought of being gay never appealed to her, so she just stopped looking for love.
