She could feel her temper bubbling up as she started to snap at her again. The young molly was use to just letting her anger go, possibly even striking him. But she stopped herself, halting the thought as soon as it surface and watched her brother. Mistpaw glared at him as he seemed to back away from her. "Of course I did. Of course I expected her to be alright, not to be dead. I know I left, but why would I return and expected our mother to be dead?" Her voice was cold, and her pale orbs matched. Mistpaw knew that she should've been there for her mother, never let anything happen to her. Petaldown was kind of an airhead, and could be blinded by love towards cats she cared for, but she nice and kind and selfish... she shouldn't be dead. She didn't deserve to die. Petaldown deserved so much better. Better than Boulderglare as a mate, better than Rock as a son and better than Mistpaw as a daughter. She wanted to glance away once more, but help her brother's gaze. Her silver ears flattened as she called her selfish. She hated being judged, he wasn't there, how dare he call me selfish? He doesn't know why I left, what was going one. He doesn't know that I never wanted to leave! It was a judgement call, something that had to be decided in a heartbeat! She could remember seeing Fallowpaw, all cut up and weak after Mistypaw had attacked her, then he and Sparkpaw threatened to kill her... they had to leave. Fallow, she had to or else her sister and former crush would kill her. And Mist didn't want to live without her, Fallow had found her way into Mistpaw's heart where very few have ever found. "You should shut up when you don't know what you are talking about," her voice seemed to surprise - and even scare her - a little, it was cold and threaten, and she dug her claws into the ground, her body slightly shaking. She didn't know why that hit a nerve like that, but it did, and it was hard to control herself now. "Shut up..." the apprentice's voice lower, and she soon found herself lounging at her brother.

Fadedpaw lay on her side, staring out into the clearing, her eyes almost closed, she analysed everything around her, remembering things from her kithood as she did. She then closed her eyes, simply listening to the world around her. (Hope I did this right)

Moonpaw layed in the clearing, waving her tail around. No one really talked to the she-cat because of her other side. She sighed,I don't even understand I've never hurt anyone...She thought. No,but I have...What?..Moonpaw sat up,looking around, the Moon shaped mark on her eye hit the sun light."Sun's in my eyes,"She mumbled.

Fadedpaw glanced around at the other cats in the clearing, thoughts swirling in her own eyes as she looked them all over, she then shook her head, as if clearing a thought away, then stood and padded over to the Apprentice's den, staring at her paws.

Summerpaw sat in the clearing, the calico she cat's eyes gleaming with a sort of desire-like light. She swished her tail back and forth in the dust, bored and not quite sure what to do. The she cat's ears swiveled, following the conversation of the other cats and the tip of her tail began to twitch. She was longing to join with her own comments, but she knew better than to do so. No, she would have to find her own fun. Summerpaw yawned, revealing her pale pink tongue and ivory white fangs before she shook her head slightly, as though she had water on it and was trying to rid herself of it. She was slightly amused, almost intrigued by the sight of the other cats moving around, and although she didn't say anything, her expression said it all. The apprentice slowly lowered herself down, gracefully almost, and curled her tail around herself with a swishing motion. Summerpaw looked older, and a little larger when she did so...perhaps it was the maturity of her expression, or something else.

Jaypaw walked out of the apprentice den, he was happy to be away from his sister at last. He was bored so her glanced around the clearing looking for a cat or cats to talk to. He glanced around and saw Summerpaw, looking more bored then him,

Summerpaw looked up, seeing another cat standing nearby. She got to her paws, sitting up and clocking her head to the side, taking a look at the cat. "Hello," she mewed, padding over towards him. She examined the other cat, her eyes sweeping over him as they did with most other cats...it was just kind of what she did. The calico's eyes sparked, and she smirked in a flirtatious manner, thinking about what to say. She rarely jumped into anything, and she hated to make things sound dumb, so she thought for a moment, the tip of her tail twitching thoughtfully. Mm, I'll give him a break...we've only just met, it wouldn't be polite...not quite yet, anyway, Summerpaw thought to herself. No matter how flirtatious the apprentice was, she was always polite and gave the other cat a bit of room in the beginning, not wanting to pressure them too much. She waited patiently, her eyes looking around at anything but Jaypaw. Her tail twitched involuntarily, and she sat back down, her gaze now fixed on the sky. The warm rays of the sun beamed down upon the she cat's pelt, warming it and feeling quite good, actually. Summerpaw closed her eyes lazily, enjoying the feel of the sun for a moment before turning her gaze back on Jaypaw.

Jaypaw smiled. " Hello, I'm Jaypaw." He said as that was his introduction for any cat even if they knew his name, his brown eyes fixed on Sunnypaw, as he waited for a response from the other apprentice.

No one seemed to notice the stocky, lithe she-cat resting in a darker part of the clearing. Unlike most cats, Bluedew enjoyed the cold. It was her favourite time of the season. Crunching leaves, puffs of foggy breath, huddling close to defeat the oncoming cold. It was just her place. Where she felt happiest. Eyes narrow and tail swinging gently from one side of her body to the other, she breathed in the crisp air, one of her rare smiles dancing on her muzzle. I think I'm the only cat in any clan that enjoys the cold of the seasons.. She pondered softly, zoning out slightly, letting her eyes wander over her peers in gladness. Although she never seemed like the most grateful cat, she truly loved her clan and every cat in it. Well, mostly every cat, but she knew that without each of them, the clan wouldn't be the same.

The silver warrior was leading as the two padded into the clearing, mouths full of prey. Pastblaze's ears perked as he heard the other cats in the clearing, their voices seemed to beat the silence away that had claimed his and Crimsonmoon's return. He didn't hesitated before heading towards the fresh-kill pile. The silver tom felt slightly warmer in the clearing than on the territory, so when he placed his two fish on the pile, he began to groom his pelt in hoped of warming up a bit.He knew Crimsonmoon was close behind him, so he looked up as he was warming up and watched the molly as she placed her prey as well. He hadn't realized before but as his pale green orbs fall on her prey, his stomach started to growl. Pastblaze reddened slightly and flattened his ears in embarrassment as he was sure that she must've heard him. He hasn't eaten all day, and now it was dark, which left him with a hungry feeling, and the sight of Crimsonmoon's plump prey did not help at all.

Striding into camp after an accidental run-in with a Shadowclan tom on the border, Thistlesplash was thoroughly dazed and confused- he was really nice. She'd never known that cats from the so-called 'evil clan' could be that sensible and kind- he really had helped her when she'd gotten lost, hadn't he? Iceclaw, right? He was really great... I hope I'll be able to talk to him again, maybe next gathering if I'm able to go. Padding around the clearing, thinking about the black-and white, mysterious tom, she needed a distraction, quickly. Her eyes suddenly spotted Moonshade laying in the Riverclan clearing, and the warrior rushed over to her, sitting beside the molly in an attempt to make conversation. "Hey, what's up?" She asked, grinning in a rather perky tone, being an energetic cat who loved to talk, though she was a bit of a ditz when it came to more serious topics that she didn't really know too much about, like clan politics or recent deaths.

The she-cat opened her left eye, a emerald green against her silver splotched face. "Hey, Thistlesplash." She mewed in her usually soft voice, flicking her tail in greeting. "I'm just waiting for the moon to come up. What's up with you? You sound perkier than usual." Even though the other warrior was about 15 moons older than her, Moonshade was a watchful cat. Voice changes were her specialty.

Wavepaw smiled in joy that she was finally an apprentice...I can swim and leave camp and hunt and do whatever I want! Nothing is wrong! she turned to her brother," Hey Mudpaw! Aren't you excited to be an apprentice finally!!"
Mudpaw was lost in his head What if I am a bad apprentice, what if I am a bad apprentice! What if I can't hunt or fight, what if I can't swim or even worse I drown!!! he shook his head glancing at Wavepaw," Huh? Oh yeah... being an apprentice, I can't wait-" he mumbled pausing, but was interupted by Wavepaw.
Wavepaw smiled," I know, I can't wait to see the territory and learn to hunt and fight and swim!"
Mudpaw glared at Wavepaw," You interupted me... As I was saying sarcastically, I can't wait to be mucking out the elder's den and playing hunt the tick, but seriously...," he gushed," I'm terrified, I'll make a fool out of myself and my mentor will be upset," he cringed in fear
Wavepaw burst into laughter at his fear," Mousebrain, you suppose to make mistakes!!!" she walked off.

Crimsonmoon followed silently in the darkness as they headed towards the fresh-kill pile. The clearing was relatively quiet, few cats were still awake grooming and eating their meal of the day before retiring to the warrior's den. Pastblaze and herself were probably some of the last to return. She set her prey down moments after the silver tom had and her ears perked as she heard his stomach growl. Her smile curved into a teasing one, not a mocking one as it had been for the majority of their time together. There seemed to be a note of respect that she had developed for the tom, for having challenged her and accepted his loss so well. A small chuckle came from his and she nudged her beautifully colored rainbow trout towards him. "Here, why don't we share it." She said, it was funny how her mother's side came out in her once she became even remotely comfortable around another cat. As if her brother's ways hadn't truly and completely corrupted her yet. The color of her eyes was unrecognizable as her pupils made her eyes look black and huge, inviting. She stared at him wide-eyed wondering if he would accept her offer. She was glad that her own stomach was holding off from groaning aloud, for it twisted tightly with hunger. She hadn't eaten anything except a small vole at sunrise.

Pastblaze looked up as Crimsonmoon offered to share her prey with him. He eyes the rainbow fish as was aware that it was her best catch from the day and was a great piece of fresh-kill over all. He was hesitant to accept, seeing her inviting expression and could hardly recognize the stubborn molly from earlier. Though after a bit, his stomach begged for the fish, and he gave a small nod in agreement. "Thank you," his gruff voice was low as if he was whispering his appreciation to her, but it was mostly because he wasn't use to saying those two simple words to other cats. The silver tom ginger took a bite of the prey, and let the flavor sink in. It tasted amazing! The warrior wasn't known for really showing his emotions all that well, he gave Crimsonmoon an approving nod. "This is really good," he admitted, looking at her for a moment, but pushed it a bit closer her way so she could have a bite now. Pastblaze was genuinely glad that she had offered to share - it was good and it felt like moons since he had actually shared fresh-kill with anyone. He found himself slightly warming up to the crimson warrior... slightly, he didn't let anyone in that easily.

"...You left her alone with our father and me, who can never do anything right! Maybe he didn't kill mom, but you left her with him, you left our mother with Boulderglare!" There were tears streaked down his cheeks as he spoke- he was placing the blame on somebody who was easy to target, because he was too weak to stand up for the cat who ruined his own life. He felt so guilty, because he couldn't save his mother from that fox, who took her life- at least, that's what his father said. Maybe even Rockkit coming back would be better than this- he didn't live with us long enough to start hating me, to see how terrible I am. Aspenmask pitied himself, and he threw tantrums when things went wrong, complaining and crying about everything he couldn't solve. He was scared easily, and the only solution to this was for him to follow cats that scared others- because nobody else was there for him, nobody else helped him through all of his problems- I had to fend for myself, because everybody left me behind- do you know what that feels like? He was crying, but didn't back down. If nobody trusted him, he could get rid of them. He could pick them off, one by one if he could. Shaking, the cat wasn't prepared for Mistpaw's attack, and as she lunged for him, he bowled over, screeching as his pelt hit the camp floor.

Fadedpaw trotted in, wondering where her mentor had rushed off to, then shrugged and dropped the vole she had caught in the pile and padded to her den, her paws dragging from exhaustion, still shivering from falling in the cold river. She then stopped, remembering that Medysong had told her to go to the medicine cat. She sighed, walking over to the medicine cat den.

Mistpaw's pale eyes were flashing with anger, sick of the blame and sick of everything she's been through. Thinking about her life, the molly sometimes wished she'd never been born. What would've changed? Fallow would be alive and with Mistygaze, Stream never would've been attacked and maybe could've found a way to be with Moss, Rockkit might've even stayed, maybe Petaldown would even bee alive still... It was like everything would've been better without a mess up like her. Maybe she did deserve the blame, but she was actually searching for happiness now, and it was so hard when everything terrible is your fault. She wondered if Royalwatcher happened to be seeing this, watching his apprentice attacking her own brother. In her fit of rage, she continued to attack Aspenmask, leaping at him again as he was still on the ground. Her paw was raised in an attempt to slice his throat, something that Deathstalker had taught her moons ago, when she first became an apprentice. Right when she was about to strike his throat, the molly was able to stop herself. Mistpaw froze, her paw still in the air, and her pale orbs wide in fear of herself - but she had stopped attacking.

As they had headed back, Stormblaze made it into the clearing. He stopped for a moment, and watched Bleakpaw enter, holding his fish caught. After the warrior had offered to help his apprentice back on the territory, Stormblaze had heard Bleakpaw mutter something but hadn't really been able to make it out. He was able to guess that it had to do with him since Bleakpaw hadn't said it out loud. But the mentor was tired from the day training his apprentice and didn't feel like getting into a fight with him... for now. He did wish that Bleakpaw was less annoying, and knew that he wasn't the kind of mentor that Bleakpaw wanted. Stormblaze was sometimes disappointed with the apprentices he got, mostly because they seemed to believe they deserve more respect than they give their mentor - like Bleakpaw and Boulderglare - but he some good apprentices - such as Ripplepaw and Crowfoot. Bleakpaw padded into the clearing after Stormblaze, his neck aching from having to hold his head up to carry the fish. He regretted not letting his mentor help after only a few minutes on the way back to camp, but had been too proud to say anything to the gruff warrior. He was not happy with the mentor he had gotten, and already resented the next training session he'd had to go on. Why'd you give me one of the most up-tight warriors, Bucknight?? He'd never confront the leader on something like that, though. Tired, and slightly annoyed by having to spend so much time with his mentor, he rushed over to the fresh-kill pile and threw the two fish onto the top. The apprentice snatched up a minnow next, and swallowed it whole before whipping around and walking quickly to the apprentice's den with only a short nod of thanks to Storm as he went. To be honest, Bleak and his mentor were pretty similar in personalities, but they were sure to eventually butt heads; it was inevitable.

He could tell how much Bleakpaw was in a rush not to spend any more time with his mentor than he had to, but Stormblaze couldn't really blame him. But the warrior did find it rude as Bleakpaw threw the fish on the fresh-kill pile and quickly swallowed a minnow in order to retire to the apprentices' den. He knew that Bleakpaw was on to something, and started to head towards the warriors' den himself, looking forward to some sleep. He did noticed a quick nod from his apprentice, and stopped for a moment, but then gave a quick nod as well. Despite this, he was still sure that Bleakpaw hated him, but he doubted there was anything they could do to change Bucknight's mind about their situation. The grey warrior didn't want to think about things like that too much, things that couldn't be helped, so he just shrugged it off and headed for sleep.

Crimsonmoon watched him with curious eyes as he finally accepted the offer and bent to let his teeth sink into the soft flesh. Her lips quirked upwards when he enjoyed the flavor, she had a hunch that he would as she had yet to meet a RiverClan cat that didn't like a beautiful trout. She pulled the fish a little closer when he nudged it back, her mouth watering with excitement of finally getting a good meal. This would probably be one of her last of this kind until new-leaf came around. "It's my favorite prey." She replied to his comment on the taste, then she finally offered herself the sweet relief the fish brought her. The flavor burst on her tongue, sweet and tangy, unlike any other prey on land. Fish had such a succulent flavor, so different, she though it was a shame the other clans missed out on it. Though she was a greedy enough cat and her empathy was quickly extinguished by it. She took a few more bites before pushing it back, her mouth filled with the tender meat. She ran a paw quickly over her mouth and cheeks to make sure it was clean, then swallowed the rest down. She was glad the fish had been plump, there was plenty to go around between the two of them.

Minnowstream walked into the Riverclan clearing, carrying her pitiful catch with her. Head down, she walked to the fresh kill pile and dropped her old mouse on it. Her rumbling stomach reminded her that she hadn't eaten yet, and after looking the pile over, she bent down to pick up her mouse again. She refused to take more than she could give to the clan, and she felt bad enough about her lacking skills without taking one of the delicious fish. Walking to the edge of the clearing and finding a sunny spot, she curled up and took a bite of her mouse, wrinkling her nose at the musty taste. She would much rather prefer a fish, but somehow all the fish seemed to know whenever she tried to swipe them out, and they were gone before her paw even hit the water. If I were a better hunter, I would be eating a nice fish, perhaps even a trout. With that thought in mind, she took another bitter bite of her meal.

A young birman stretched as she left the apprentices' den. Her pale orbs seemed to search the clearing for a moment before deciding to head for the fresh-kill pile. She hadn't had much training since becoming an apprentice, but it wasn't too long ago that she ranked up so she didn't let that get to her. Willowpaw stopped at the pile and observed the prey in it, quickly deciding to pick up a small fish and carrying it towards the edge of the clearing. She ate slowly, carefully taking one bite at a time and every once in awhile glancing at her clanmates. Willowpaw had gotten use to the taste of fish. The molly had been born outside the clans, but no one really knew that. Her whole adoption was a secret like who the father of her adopted siblings were. Willowpaw would be eternally grateful to Sunbreeze for taking her in after the floods. She's been through a lot at that time, but the young apprentice was starting to put it all behind her... though she still found it hard to befriend her clanmates.

daisypaw strode through the clearing, blissfully taking in a breath of air. "nice day." she quickly picked up a... less fishy fresh kill and looked around for someone who she could sit down with. she arched her back just as she saw willowpaw by the exit of the clearing, preparing to burst out running to her clanmate. extending her claws for a moment to grab some dirt, the molly narrowed her eyes and suddenly sprang. her thundering paws ran right to willowpaw, slightly missing her stop. she attempted to halt to a complete stop- but instead tripped over herself, dropping her fresh kill she held in her mouth and took in a mouthful of dirt. ouch. daisypaw slowly got up, spat out all remaining earth in her mouth, and picked up her prey. the apprentice turned around and plopped right next to willowpaw, trying to pretend that that small scene never happened. "uh, hey."

Her first impression of Daisypaw was that. Watching the clumsy apprentice start to sprint towards her, then feel on her face as she tried to stop in time. Willowpaw's ears were flat in surprise at both the sudden burst of running from the other apprentice, and tripping over herself as she tried to stop right in front of her targeted company. The birman didn't know what to say and Daisypaw spat out her mouthful of dirt and tried to play the whole thing off cool. "Um... hello?" He mewed awkwardly as Daisypaw sat down and said 'hey' to her. The ivory apprentice let pale orbs observe the new comer, not too familiar with her. She was anti-social and wasn't too close to other clans cats - well, except Fernpaw and Sunbreeze. "... I'm Willowpaw," her awkwardness not lifting yet and she began to introduce herself.

His body hitting the ground with a sudden thud, Aspenmask could feel his shoulders bruising as he landed, wincing as a sudden flash of pain tore through his body. Battle wasn't his strong suit, and he was used to hiding in the shadows instead of fighting for himself- and he wasn't very good with endurance, either- he was weak. Growing up with a father who was ruthless, always pushing Aspen to fight and not to be such a 'pansy', he still wasn't as strong as he wanted to be, and it almost felt like the tom was getting weaker every day, every single time somebody ignored him, passed him over. It it my fate, to always be invisible, to be alone for the rest of my life? If that's what will happen to me, I'd be better off stopping now while I was ahead. Watching Mistpaw's raised claws, and her seemingly malicious stare, Aspenmask let out a choked hiss, almost crying. "Kill me, then. If you hate me so much that you ignore me, you yell at me, you leave me behind with somebody who's surely not concerned with my well-being... then go ahead and kill me. I wouldn't want to live in this world, anyways- a world where I have to be your brother."

Yell at him? He started it! She tried her best to calm down. Mistpaw slowly lowered her paw, fighting back her violence instincts that Deathstalker had been beating into her since she was a kit. But her training with Royalwatch was changing her view and was giving her a strive for peace... no matter how hard it was for her. The apprentice dug her claws into the ground and trying with all her strength not to leap at him again. When he told her to kill him, when he said he didn't want to live in this world because of her, she felt like her heart broke even more. And she didn't even know it could do that. Mistpaw's pale blue robs widened at this, and it was clear that he hurt her. But then she narrowed them again, and her voice became cold and jagged again. "I won't kill you... you can hate me, and you can wish that I'm not your sister, but that won't change the fact that I am your sister. And I'm not a murder!" She snapped, yelling the last part as if trying to fret her moons in the Dark Forest and learning how to kill anyone. But she didn't moved and didn't try to walk away yet, continued glaring at him, her anger kept her grounded and her claw remained in the earth.

She had caused it, from her sharp tongue and lack of thought, but he seemed to have let that go now that she had begun biting her tongue. She could continue to be nasty and could have not even offered him her prized catch, but something untarnished about her had made her want to share and be kind. She seemed to be lost as to who she truly was still. She bent over the fish and ate, a bit of a frown upon her face as she thought about her small identity crisis. Though she reminded herself that her mother was weak and foolish, that she should try to exterminate most things that came from her influence. Though being open to friends wasn't so bad, and Pastblaze seemed to be enough like Bucknight that they might get along relatively well. She took her time eating, hoping Pastblaze wasn't growing bored, but she just wanted to finish her part of the meal before she pushed the prey back, stomach no longer dying for food. "This was fun, tonight, the competition." The words seemed to tumble mindlessly from her mouth. She hadn't really meant to admit it, it seemed awkward to admit such a thing for her. Her ears flicked back and she looked away, feeling the embarrassment from what she had said settle into her. Her fur raised a little against her spine with the discomfort of the situation. She never said things like this to other cats. She'd never admitted enjoying someone's presence.

Noticing her frown as she went for another bite, and was tempted to ask what was wrong, though he stopped when he was about to since he was unsure if she would get defensive at his questioning. Pastblaze sat in the welcoming silence between him and Crimsonmoon, it wasn't awkward or anything like that since their tension have died down. He closed his green orbs for a moment as the molly near him finished her part of the fresh-kill, and giving him the rest. His orbs opened as this and turned when she admitted that the night had been fun to her. At first he said nothing and even looked slightly surprised at this, but then he realized that she felt embarrassed after saying that. "Me too," Pastblaze's reply was simple and quick, the words felt strange to him as well, but he found himself not wanting Crimsonmoon to feel embarrassed so he had instantly said that. Right afterwards, he returned to the fresh-kill in front of him and slowly finished it, acting as if the small conversation wasn't too much of a big deal despite his pelt warming up to an uncomfortable level.

"I've recently became an apprentice, so I haven't really gotten into the duties yet," she admitted. As they spoke, Willowpaw was trying to observe Daisypaw, unsure who she was. "I'm Willowpaw," the molly felt awkward telling the stranger her name, but understood that this was how people got to know each other, plus, Daisypaw had introduced herself already anyway and it was polite to do the same. The birman was taken aback by Daisypaw's reaction to the fish that she was eating, and flicked her tail. How could a Riverclan cat not like fish? She thought, slightly narrowing her pale blue orbs at the other apprentice. "To be honest, I haven't had much training so I haven't gone onto the territory," unlike many other cats in the clans, she hadn't wanted to sneak out of camp as a kit. This was mostly because she knew she didn't have Riverclan blood in her, so she didn't want to get in trouble with the clan that had become her home. "As for mud... not too much for it," the sticky, wet mud reminded her too much of the storm - not a happy memory. She never swam before, but she was embarrassed about that so she didn't comment for that question. But Willowpaw did find that she had to think of the last question. "Uhh... I don't know," she admitted. She didn't leave the camp and usually didn't do much but hang out with Sunbreeze and talk to Fernpaw. So she never had a chance to figure out what she enjoyed to do.

Sadly, Beetlepaw disappeared so Fogstep no longer had an apprentice, but Stormblaze still had Bleakpaw therefore his time was still taken up. Summerpaw cocked her head to the side as she examined Brackenpaw. She wasn't quite sure what to think...not really, anyway. She could tell that he was beginning to become a little uncomfortable with her flirtatious manner and, not wanting to drive him away, she decided to stop. "I was thinking about going on a walk...would you like to join me?" She asked. Summerpaw wasn't the type to gradually drop hints...she generally said what she meant. She was hoping that he would agree...after all, it was much more fun to go out when you had someone with you. Otherwise it was way too easy to get bored, and Brackenpaw seemed like the type who would be a pleasureable companion. Besides, he had hung out with her this long- surely he wouldn't mind, right? That is, if I haven't already scared him by now, she thought with a frustrated snort. She knew she had the tendency to come off as way too flirtatious...but there wasn't much she could do about it. It was all she knew to mask her insecurities from coming through.

Foxpelt smiled back, and sat down. "I suppose I'm doing well. My apprentice went missing." she said, her tone stoic. "Moonpaw said she'd meet my by the river four days ago and hasn't been seen since." she continued. "Anyways, what about you?" she asked, her tone going from stoic to slightly happy.
(I did this cause I was bored but eh: http://moonfangmoonymoon.deviantart.com/art/Fogstep-643424596?ga_submit_new=10%253A1478032190 )

Fogstep blinked in surprise at her story. "The same thing happened to me!" He exclaimed in shock. "Well, I mean, not the same thing," he mewed sheepishly. "But my apprentice went missing - it was like one day he was here, and the next he was just gone!" The grey and white warrior flattened his ears at this, missing Beetlepaw. Despite not knowing his apprentice all that well before his disappearance, he knew that he had been a passionate little cat - one to not back down from a fight and would stand up for anyone being bullied, and he was curious and friendly. He was an apprentice that Fogstep had been happy to have. "Oh, I'm sorry to here that too," he quickly added, and gave her an empathetic look, knowing somewhat about what she was going through. "But yeah, other than that I do suppose I'm doing good. I wish me and Stormblaze had more time to just talk, but he's busy with his apprentice," the young warrior was the kind to open up to basically anyone who was willing to talk to him, he was what you would call an open book. "But I hope that he likes Bleakpaw anyway," Fogstep gave one of his iconic goofy smiles at this last part though.

(that looks great, thanks! :squee:)

Foxpelt gave a small giggle at his smile, and stood up. "Well, seems like apprentices are missing left and right. And Stormblaze... He's your father, right?" she asked. She shook out her fur and scanned the clearing, taking in the happiness that was showing through today. A happiness she thought would never end.

"He sure has," Fogstep laughed as he thought about his father's past apprentices. Though that did come with the awareness that Stormblaze was aging and wouldn't be around forever. But instead of looking at it in a negative view, he liked to try to see the positive in it - he has protected this clan for moons, and would someday live in Starclan with his kits and even Brightcloud. Fogstep wasn't even dreading the day he would actually get to meet his mother and siblings, losing them at such a young age. "Oh sure, we can go hunting," the grey and white warrior leaped to his feet and turned towards the exit. He did wait to make sure that Foxpelt was ready to head out though.

@Gusty (http://www.warriorcatsonline.com/forums/member.php?u=27)

It was near sunhigh and Stoatfang had been up for a while, purposefully flexing his muscles in front of other cats, yawning and showing off his fangs and at how pearly and white they were, how perfect that were; butting in on other cats conversations about their romantic relationships just being completely nosey and somewhat rude when joining in, some might even say obnoxious due to the way he nit-picked and practically squealed over the relationship, whatever the case may be. So in other words, he had been bothering other cats all morning before finally being told by Thornfrost to pick another cat to take out on a sunhigh hunting patrol, something he would happily do. That's the thing about Stoatfang, he loved to be around other cats most of the time, that way he could show off to them, bask in their praise, hear about their relationships and tell them jokes and such, he thrived with attention and the second no one was paying attention to him, he would blow up with anger, often causing a scene, some called him bipolar, but what most cats didn't know about this strange tom, was that he could control these moods. He often smiled inwardly to see the confusion written on other cats faces when he violently switched from joking to anger and knew immediately that they thought he was bipolar, and that, that gave him the attention he so desired. It made him more interesting that a normal tempered cat, thus why more cats paid attention to him, it was all a ruse really.

But I digress. The brown and white tabby tom stood in the middle of the clearing with a somewhat pleasant smile written on his muzzle as he looked around the camp for a likely suspect to drag along on a hunting patrol with him, knowing that most cats didn't exactly like him it was indeed the correct terminology to say 'drag along', they likely wouldn't want to come willingly if they knew him like most others. Sitting down in the center of the clearing, the tom began to groom a claw, his pale green eyes scanning and scanning for a cat to peak his interest.

As he scanned, he couldn't help but notice how nice the weather was today, it truly would make for a fine hunting trip, the sun was bright and shining with not a single wisp of a cloud to hinder it's radiant, golden beams, the warmth soaking into his back, specifically at the darkest stripes but overall warming him up nicely and causing him to purr. Even the air itself was heated to a nice and comfortable temperature and when it got to hot, a gentle cool breeze would flutter past, ruffling his fur slightly before stopping and occasionally gusting back up again. Stoatfang loved days like this, it just made him want to sit in the middle of a group of cats, happily sharing tongues and listening to the business they had to share, or sharing corny jokes with them even though he knew that none of them would really enjoy them as much as he did, then again, he didn't mind, he thought he was funny and that was good enough for him. Even though he was paying attention to the weather though, he was still absentmindedly searching for a hunting partner, a cat that wasn't doing anything that he could pluck and take with him.

Blizzardfoot padded out from the Warrior's Den into the clearing. Inside the den, it was rather dank and musty. Cozy, actually. But outside in the clearing was a complete different story. The light blinded her eyes for a second, and the molly began blinking to adjust to the light. The sun shone stronger today than usual, and the sky was as clear as could be. The world seemed to bring in a bit of hope; it seemed like delightful day to do something. Like what? Maybe hunting, or patrolling by the border. Her heart pounded as she merely thought about the border- specifically, the RiverClan and ThunderClan one. Pineshadow, her everlasting crush, was there. He was somewhere across the border, doing something. Probably hunting or talking to his many friends. Her eyes were a bit glazed into the distance, with a moony smile playing on her face.
Ah, but chances were he wasn't by the border right now- after all, warriors were pretty busy. Maybe she should get down by the river to do some solo hunting instead, and catch her favorite treat: minnows. The molly's dark blue gaze scanned across the clearing towards her clanmates. She didn't have to go alone; a friend could come with her. But which one? Blizzardfoot didn't exactly have a preference for friends or hunting partners. Unlike her brother, Waspwhisker, she was proud to talk and mingle with anyone. Her gaze settled on a few young apprentices at first, but then turned over towards the warriors. A certain tom caught her eye. Who was that?
She'd definitely saw him around the clearings, talking and joking around with others. In fact, she had probably shared a conversation with him before. Alas, that was all she knew about him. His name was escaping her.
Blizzardfoot looked away, suddenly aware that her eyes were on Stoatfang for too long. She began laughing quietly, yet good-naturally, to herself about the small mistake.

{Oh I'm sorry, I can trim down my replies if you'd like? c: }

It had been a good several minutes that Stoatfang had been sitting there, nonchalantly grooming himself and watching, observing other cats go about their daily business, a flicker of irritation running through him as he saw that practically all of them were busy, he wouldn't be able to snag anyone! It started to become increasingly frustrating the longer he waited and the tom could feel his anger flaring up as it usually did when he truly did have no other cat to talk to, to bother, to show off to, to tell a joke to, to do something! At the very least he should be able to find some cat to be able to bring on a patrol with him and yet every warrior in Riverclan seemed to be out, or busy!
Grumbling beneath his breath, he was getting ready to get up to snag his apprentice instead, even though he definitely did not want to, that is, until he saw a cat emerge from the warriors den, his eyes immediately focusing on the white-pelted she-cat, a grin immediately spreading over his muzzle as he realized that she wouldn't have anything better to do than go with him, she just woke up and she likely isn't on the sunhigh patrol because she would have needed to be ready already, which she most certainly did not seem to be! He knew this warrior, he's talked with her a few times or so, but her name.. Oh right, she's Blizzardfoot, I remember now. It's not like he really knew her, he simply knows her name and knows that they've talked once or twice on occasion, as most warriors do.
The white-furred she cat was looking at him now and immediately his smile widened and the tip of his tail flicked back and forth and soon enough he was getting up and padding over as she looked away as she realized she had been looking at him for much too long. "Hey Blizzardfoot, got any plans?" Asked the tom smoothly, settling down in front of her, tail curling over his paws and eyes focused on her.

Sprawled out on the ground in the bustling clearing, Cloudyfoot was attempting to soak up some warmth from the afternoon sun, though his grey-tabby pelt was cold, and damp from a dip in the river. Being a RiverClan cat in the midst of leaf-bare was always frusterating and freezing, especially when the wind ruffled the pelt of a RiverClan cat when they were fresh out of the river.
Cloudyfoot wanted to be curled up in his nest in the comfort of the warrior's den, though he had figured out within the first moon of being a warrior, that there were always cats in there complaining about one thing or another, which always bothered the tom, though he never expressed it. So, he was always stuck in the clearing during the afternoon, attempting to evade the unappreciative warriors.
A small sigh escaped the warrior's mouth as he slowly heaved himself into a sitting position, with his tail wrapped carefully around his paws. Perhaps it would be easier on,his aching joints to take a break in the warriors' den, though a voice in his mind reminded him of all of the hateful cats. So Cloudyfoot just sat there, staring into nothingness, letting his mind wander into strange places that they hadn't before.
Perhaps I could take on another mate? Cloudyfoot questioned himself quietly, Maybe you'd be less depressed? Cloudyfoot wanted to wave away the idea, for it seemed quite impossible to his brain, though his heart kept repeating the same line over and over. Pebblesong obviously didn't love you enough, so maybe you could just start over? Maybes, ifs, and buts raddled around Cloudyfoot's brain, and his amber eyes kept on getting duller and duller, until he snapped himself out of the daydream.

Parading into the Riverclan camp, the she-cat didn't seem at all affected by her escapade into Shadowclan territory, nor was she that wary of the strange cat she met- Iceclaw, was he? She'd almost forgotten his own name, only a few moments after she'd left to go back home. Honestly, he's not that bad- for a Shadowclan cat, I guess. Smiling from the prospect of having met a new friend, the tricolored molly ambled into the clearing, grinning and looking for a place to rest her paws. Thistlesplash was tired of having to walk around, letting fallen pine needles pierce her pads and itch her paws annoyingly as she tried to find her way home. The forest the other clan lived in was beautiful, but it seemed to conceal hidden dangers, whether they were simple annoyances or if they were something bigger- though the Riverclan warrior didn't exactly take notice of it during all of her wandering. Letting out a deep sigh, she was glad of one thing- she'd recently gotten a new apprentice, and he was the son of one of her friends- Spicepaw. Russetswirl's son, was he? Seemed to be a fiery dude, but she'd assume the best of him for now- in fact, the fact that one of her old friends already had kits, it was... strange. Everyone around her was falling in love, where she was just finding more and more friends- would she ever have a love life, something so exciting as being with the one you love?
Letting out a short giggle at her thoughts, she took a seat next to another warrior, trying to bask in the sun quietly as the she-cat finally rested from her long walk earlier in the day. "Oh- hey, Cloudyfoot!" She grinned towards the tom sitting next to her, a cat she'd seen around camp before- she wasn't the best with names, honestly- but there was something about this cat that made her want to remember, to keep him in mind.

Not noticing the arrival of his denmate, Cloudyfoot was utterly surprised by Thistlesplash, so much so, that heleapt almost a fox-length into the air, his manner eyes stricken with fear. As the senior warrior landed with a dull thud on the ground, he whipped towards the she-cat, his skittishness now driven from his eyes, suddenly replaced by anger, and then a slight calm. Though hisbpelt was still ruffles and on end, Clousyfoot's voice was calm and friendly, as though he were greeting an old friend, though he barely knew Thistlesplash. The tom had always seen her more than tgevother she-cats that were talking to him, and ever since Pebblesong's disapearence, he had always been in a daze while speaking, as though he were in s dream, though while talking to the beautiful she-cat, he felt oddly awake.
"Hey," Cloudyfoot mewed heartedly, his amber eyes flickering with interest, "You seem very intrigued," he observed, cocking his head to one side as though he had a question. "Hold that thought," Cloudyfoot mewed as he let to his paws and rushed to the fresh-kill pile, his tail waving with eagerness. He lowered his head to the pile, picking out one trout that was plump and still moist from the river.
"I hope you don't mind sharing,"Cloudyfoot mewed as he placed the trout before Thistlesplash, "We can talk over a little prey." A smile was painted across Cloudyfoot's maw, flicking his tail, gesturing for Thistlesplash to take the first bite.
It was tempting for Cloudyfoot to wolf down the trout, it being his favorite piece of prey, though he restrained himself, making sure that he was polite, as his mother had taught him.

{No, it's okay. I could manage ;3}
Blizzardfoot then heard a male's voice, first swiveling her ears and then the rest of her head, until her gaze was back onto Stoatfang's. It was yet again the familiar tom. The molly's head spun as she listened to his words. Plans? No, she had none as of right now. Alas, she had just awoken! Her mind was not fully functioning properly; she was still half in sleep-mode, and yet the whole clan was already up and about!
Even so, she was ripe with energy to move around. She'd gotten up too late today; the sun was nearly at the highest point in the sky. If she were to sleep a few minutes later, and everyone would believe that the young warrior was an elder! Although she wasn't as self-conscious as most, Blizzard would rather not make that impression. She almost laughed again at the thought, but managed to hold it in.
She then decided to answer Stoatfang's short question. The long-haired feline bobbed her head from side to side and smiled with glee. She hoped that the tom's question was more than a casual passer-by question, but perhaps an invitation to do something greater. "No, I don't have anything to do as of right now." She said, accompanied by her head movement. "Why? Is there something important going on?" Her tail flicked and her dark blue eyes shone brightly.

Wildpaw looked at Falconfeather with wide eyes as he walked in with two kits after him. He quickly stood up and went to meet him. "Hey! Did these two run off?" He asked worried, not thinking about who's kits they could be. "You two should know that running out of camp is forbidden before being apprentices!" he folded them gently.

{Well.. Okay, if ever it gets too tedious to maintain long replies just tell me and I'll cut the lengths down! c: }

As patient as this strange tom could be, he simply watched her, waiting for a response to his inquiry, it seemed to take her a moment to process what he said, of course he would have to expect that from a cat who likely just woke up. He got the sudden, violent urge to utter a joke like 'mouse got your tongue?', but he quickly stopped himself, apparently it got on other cats nerves when he constantly told jokes, not that he cared really. Again, he was simply a very strange and confusing tom indeed. So, without uttering a joke, or really uttering anything at all, the brown and white tabby watch the white female, the tip of his tail flicking as if in impatience.
Then he finally received an answer, to say in the least he wasn't surprised, he shouldn't have even asked the question. Of course she didn't have any plans if she woke up at this time of day! It was a waste of time and breath to even ask the question and a flash of anger rippled through him but he forced it back down quickly and offered a smile instead. "Why yes there is! You, ma'am, have just won the lucky ticket that states you will be going on a hunting patrol with yours truly." Comically he dipped his front half forward, swiping out a paw in a strange sort of bow before straightening up again. "But I must say there are no refunds to this ticket and no way out of it, so I think it would be best if you simply think of it as a prize, now groom yourself up and we'll be leaving, we don't want you walking out of camp looking like that, you might just scare all of the prey away!" Chortled out the tom in a some-what lighthearted manner.

Ripplewhisker padded into the clearing that was covered in bright sunshine that warmed his dark red and orange pelt. His ears twitched to the sound of the leaf-fall’s chilling breeze as it shifted through the forest that surrounded the active camp that gave shelter to the calm, water-loving cats of Riverclan. The young warrior gave a slight relaxed smile and strode over to the fresh-kill pile, his long tail lashing contently back and forth as he hummed to himself. He picked out a scrawny silver-coated fish and sat down in a warming patch of sunlight as he bit into his morning meal, a light purr rumbling through his chest.

Chortled out the tom in a some-what lighthearted manner.
(Oh, okay. Sorry for the late-ish response, btw.)

Blizzardfoot stared at the tom for a second, half-startled by the sudden remark. She'd expected that he'd want to go hunting, or a patrol, but the way in which he had said it was quite queer. She was used to normalness, one should say, and Stoatfang's had definitely shaken something up.
But nonetheless, the molly shook it off and met his gaze in a hopeful manner. "Why, thank you, dear tom." Blizzard said, shaking out her thick off-white pelt for a moment. What Stoatfang had said near the end of his speech was a bit true; her pelt was rather messy and she needed some grooming before leaving the clearing. Presentation was everything in the clan after all. It could get warriors promoted to deputies or leaders, it could help attract a mate, and it certainly helped in gaining new acquaintances.
Being that she was in the presence of another RiverClan warrior and wishing to hunt prey as fast as possible, the molly decided to groom her fur quickly. She didn't have the time for a slow wash, like she normally did; time was against her today. Instead, she sighed and licked down herself. The molly first began with her paws, and then levied up towards her legs and back and side. The feline's rough sandpaper tongue was smoothing down the lumps and patches of rough fur, until it was slightly manageable. A couple of random leaves scattered out of the long-furred cat, and she gently scooted them away. Even after this grooming and cleaning, she despised her appearance, but it would have to do.
"I believe I'm ready now." The she-cat said, lifting her chin up higher and twitching into a small smile.

"I enjoy hanging around the willow tree that overhangs the river. It's calming to watch the waters from one of it's branches." Minnowstream realized that she hadn't been to the willow tree in a while. Just been busy lately, I guess. It'd do me good to relax, though. Hesitating, she fidgeting a bit before continuing. "I'll take you there, sometime, if you'd like."

Toothless smiled "that would be great." He purred and began to lick his paw, getting a little pebble out of his pad "hmm if you could be any other clan cat, which clan would you be in?" He asked, curiosity flickered in his eyes.

Minnowstream hesitated. "Well, I honestly feel like I belong most in Riverclan, but if I'd have to go to a different clan, then I guess it'd be Thunderclan. I'm not fast enough to hunt in Windclan, and I don't think I'd be able to hunt without cover, especially with my fur." Her silvery grey tabby pelt would definitely stick out among the shadows of Shadowclan. "If you could talk to any cat in Starclan, who would it be?"

{It's quite alright, my bad for the late response as well xP }

Should Blizzardfoot ever decide to hang around the tom for more than just a patrol, she would find out that he was always quite queer in his actions and sayings and mood swings, most certainly not like other cats in a good majority of the things he does.
A strange smile spread over his muzzle as she thanked him, almost seeming to mimic his peculiar way of speaking he had used whilst telling her, not really asking, to go on a hunting patrol with him. Stoatfang liked it when cats joked back or seemed to appreciate his strange ways because, in fact, very few did. But the smile was soon fading for there was nothing more to smile about, his green gaze falling to her messy pelt where his tail gave a small flick. It'll take her ages to get that fixed up. Thought the tom silently before looking away, more so at the entrance to camp. He couldn't wait to get out there in the territory, do a bit of hunting, show off to this other cat, maybe snag a few compliments, oh yes, he loved compliments, they helped to stroke his already immense ego.
As Blizzardfoot went about quickly sprucing herself up, the brown and white tabby yawned slightly, glancing back at her before standing up (having originally been seated) and stretched again, flexing his claws into the dirt below him, loving the feeling that came with it, before sheathing them and heaving out a dramatic sigh, glancing back at her. "Oh take your time sweety, the sun will be up all day!" There was a hint of a strange tone there, it couldn't be distinguished from sarcasm or joking so it would be hard to determine if you were meant to take offense or laugh at it and his face gave no hints to what he desired the reaction to be, it wasn't even facing her, he was staring back at the camp entrance again.
"Good, lets get going before you decide you want to clean some more of your pelt!" meowed the tom, a hint of exasperation in his voice before he went bounding out of the clearing and camp all together, pausing outside for her before setting off into the territory with a somewhat leisurely pace.

"Doesn't seem like it, just kits that ran out of camp I think." he reasured his friend moonpaw. "So! Where were we?" he asked. "Oh yeah! I remember! REBELION!" he exclaimed as he pounced on moonpaw. "Moonstar's reing is over! I'm taking over!" he laughed as he pinned her down as best as he could. "Do not fight back! You cannot win!" he added on with a grin, still laughing. He ran down his tail along her belly to tickle her.
"Ahh! I'm defeated by the great Wildstar!"Moonpaw said. "You win. all hale Wildstar! Leader of river clan!"She mewed. She let her tongue hang out the side of her mouth and closed her eyes.

"What are you doing?" he asked, rolling around laughing uncontrollably. "Starclan help me! I can't breathe! This face! Oh my, it's hillarious!" he exclaimed through breaths of laughter. He rolled next to her and sent his eye balls far up, and played dead as well, his chest slowly stopping it's jumping motion and the laughs dieing into giggles, and then silence.

(To the territory, I guess?)
Blizzardfoot cringed a little bit inside at the tom's comments. Who exactly was this warrior? Or a better question- why was he speaking like that? Her insides were a mixture of awe and curiosity; it wasn't the tom itself that was striking, but his words. The mixture of slight sarcasm and reality was defeating. His words didn't even seem one hundred percent normal. The molly wasn't sure why.
She decided that it might just be a morning issue. Or perhaps it was simply his odd personality, or to attract more attention to himself- the latter was certainly working. Blizzardfoot could handle that, she supposed. The brown-and-white pelted tom was just like everyone else, but unique in a couple of ways. And anyways, I shouldn't be judging. It's better for my curiousity to be silenced.
"Yeah, let's go now." The molly finally said, nodding her head up and down. She shook out her pelt- which was still ridiculously messy, even the tom had noticed- and stood up. Front feet first, back paws next. Ah.
Her mouth opened again and more words spilled out. It was a question that she'd been wondering for a short while now. "By the way, I forgot your name. What is it?" She said, furrowing her brow. The tom most likely wouldn't take offense because of this question, being that they've only met a couple of times total, but her just saying it aloud was enough to make her cringe. His name was somewhere in the back of her mind, lingering and lurking in a corner that'd not be found until he answered.

-Lonestar's Post-

-My New Post-

Brackenpaw thought for a moment. Should he go with her? It would be nice to stretch his legs after all. And he could find a stream where he could wash off too. Why not? It would be nice to know Summerpaw a little more. And it would help Summerpaw if he went with her. So she wouldn't get lonely. He hated being lonely, despite the fact he was almost always lonely. "Sure" Brackenpaw agreed finally, slowly nodding his head. The calico tom cat heaved to his paws, arching his back in a stretch till it hurt. Then returning to his normal position. Flexing his claws in and out, he waited for Summerpaw to raise to her paws. His eyes glancing between her and the camp entrance, trying to not seem impatient.

Laid sprawled out in the early dawn rays, Arctickit felt drained, though the only thing that he had accomplished in the past few sunrises was a case of insomnia, which kept him awake through all hours of the night. His bright blue eyes scanned the clearing, trying to decide what to do until his kin would awake. Though Arctickit loved them dearly, being around the feuding Cloudyfoot and Snowyfur always put him on edge. Even if Rainkit was with him, Arctickit felt almost depressed, or at least very close to it. Fogfur never came in to visit them anymore, and from what the kit could understand, his uncle, Cloudyfoot wouldn't either. Arctickit's mother, Snowyfur, wasn't any better; she would always urge her son to meet new cats, though, being one of the most social kits in the clan, Arctickit had to reintroduce himself to some kits, just so that his mother would approve.
Approval, that was one of the things that the kit wanted. Almost an apprentice, Arctickit knew that he would be the smallest pupil ever, and perhaps one of the weakest. The kit was always prideful when he was praised for doing something right, since-according to the bullies- could never happen because of his height. Being gullible, though, Arctickit would sometimes find himself crying when he was supposed to be sleeping. Arctickit wanted to fit in somewhere, where his height wouldn't matter, and he wouldn't be picked on. Though, from the stories the elders said, there wasn't one, and there never would be, thanks to nature.
After the flood of thoughts stopped rallying in Arctickit's mind, he gazed up and the sky, which was now a bit lighter, and the clouds that floated silently above Arctickit's head, were now a vibrant white. Arctickit couldn't guess how long he had been in that state, which he knew, coming from Cloudyfoot, made him look as though he were asleep, though really, Arctickit wasn't asleep, he was up in the clouds.

Having already seated herself down next to Cloudyfoot, the molly's blue eyes shined with delight as he suggested they talk over a meal, even giving her the first bite. "That sounds great!" Thistlesplash chimed, her voice high-pitched and optimistic as she started to settle into her seating, grinning as she watched his eyes towards the trout- he looked like he liked the fish, though she couldn't exactly comprehend the degree to which he loved the food.
Biting into the prey as quickly and quietly as possible, she did remark that it seemed to have been caught well. Whoever managed to catch this didn't leave many claw-marks or bitemarks in the skin- it's really smooth, and tasty too! "Y'know, I thought only hares jumped that high, huh? Looks like you've got some strong legs there." Giggling loudly, she'd pointed out the jumping he'd done as she talked to him, as if he thought she was a scary old monster. "Don't worry, though- I'm cool with it. I do look a bit frightening, huh?" Joking around, the she-cat's sense of humor had overtaken her thoughts for the poor tom's feelings for a second, not considering that me might be embarrassed by all of that. Really, she never did get flustered in front of anybody, and so she'd mentally push that trait onto others without warning, unfortunately making her a bit inconsiderate in the long run.
"I guess I am a bit intrigued, simply because this place has changed a lot from when I was an apprentice, I guess. I mean, we've got a new leader and a new deputy, right? It's all a bit overwhelming at once, but I've finally started to get used to it all."

A grey-blue tinted feline padded into her Clan's open area in between the dens set up all over. Anyone could see she was simply strolling, a very leisurely walk. From her jaws a mouse hung, limp, which she dropped into the fresh-kill pile. Dropwhisker's rainy blue eyes betrayed nothing except worry—on the surface at least, since that was her strongest emotion right now. With all the stuff happening in the Clans, who wouldn't? she thought. So maybe she'd been fretting a tad to much. Oh well.
Dropwhisker had recently been made a warrior. Without her mentor to guide her...it did take some getting used to. Her tongue reached down to groom her fur. The short hunt still had ruffled her pelt, and it needed fixing.

The small lean molly slipped outside of the apprentice den her pale blue gaze shifted around the rather empty clearing. Having joined the clan a mere moon ago she hasn't yet to get use to relying on others. Sighing softly she sat back against her haunches her gaze continued to wander around the clearing taking every small little detail she could possibly take. Digging her claws into the earthy ground she lowered herself down slightly feeling the light pale rays of the sun above her. Wisps of clouds slowly climbed it's way across the sky like a game of chest no speckle of gray departed from one another but simply remained as a whole. Sighing somberly she figured that today would be rather boring for her.

One more lick. That was all to be left for her pelt to be put back in line. I'm probably going to notice if even the teensiest tuft of fur accidentally puffs up, Dropwhisker reminded herself, her gaze now downcast. It had been a hurdle the she-cat had truly struggled to overcome her entire life, yet mostly the peak of her OCD had loomed in her early apprenticeship moons. However, she knew better than to let the bothersome toxic suffocate her slowly; Dropwhisker's parents knew. And with the warrior's especially mother-like worries, she was afraid that part of her melancholy emotions would infect other cats. At the thought of that occurring, her long whiskers twitched- but there was something more captivating in the present.

When Dropwhisker had arched her spine for that last lick, her blue orbs had gleamed against the sudden rays of the sun passing by slowly. She hissed softly, closing them rapidly. Once she'd opened them again, though, an young feline seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. The warrior raised her head and tilted it, brimmed purely with curiosity. She furrowed her forehead. Nope, her mind was drawing a blank.

She started forwards without any more hesitation. What could be more of a delight than meeting new cats? Dropwhisker soon arrived in front of the smaller cat. Judging from the size...An apprentice. At the same time, the back of her mind scolded herself for judging another Clanmate. She shook her head, letting one paw step in front of the other, toward the new cat. "Hello. Mind if I join you?" the feminine warrior asked calmly, but did not pause to hear the other's answer.

Plopping down a distance away (not too far away, of course, she reminded herself, the young'un might feel lonely) Dropwhisker studied this stranger. "What's your name?" she inquired softly, blinking as if not to intimidate the cat. This time she allowed for a response. "I'm Dropwhisker."

Those who feel no pain are the monsters really, but then again this isn't just my humble opinion." Joking around, the she-cat's sense of humor had overtaken her thoughts for the poor tom's feelings for a second, not considering that me might be embarrassed by all of that.

Trying to keep the grin off of his face, Cloudyfoot was glad that the she-cat was so enthusiastic at sharing a piece of prey with him. No she-cat since his former mate had ever acted like that. Cloudyfoot's amber eyes were vibrant, and had less of a glaze to them; many felines hadn't seen the tom in that sport ever- or at lest it felt like that.

At Thistlesplash's chaff, Cloudyfoot smiled slightly; the tom knew that the she-cat was just poking fun at him, and he knew that she meant no harm. "Well, if I'm a hare, then I'm too fast for most cats," Cloudyfoot meant it as a caper, to make Thistlesplash laugh, though the joke was weak, and would almost make no sense, unless someone were to look at his big, buldging muscles, which made it quite evident that Cloudyfoot was not the most agile in the clan.

"You'd never be frightening-" Cloudyfoot stopped abrubtly, though his words flowed more fluently than before. The tom wanted to finish his sentence, though he felt that the she-cat would be abashed, and even worse, she would leave him, the only cat who wasn't perplexed of his words. Instead of continuing with the discussion, Cloudyfoot decided that he would try to change the subject, to the last comment that the beautiful Thistlesplash had spoken.

"I guess I have to agree with you there," Cloudyfoot said with a yawn. His bright amber eyes wandered around the clearing, trying to remember the clearing while it was underground. The senior warrior could barely fantasize the memory of the underground dens; it was so long ago, and Cloudyfoot had gotten closer to the new clearing than the old one, though he had spent most of his life in the past one.

"Everything changed since the flood, right?" Cloudyfoot asked, biting into the trout, enjoying the flavors dancing around his tongue. The tom had almost forgotten his former embarrassment from the fright that Thistlesplash had given him. Of course, the tom was having a better time than he could ever commerate, so the tom had a reason to forget it.

Spottedstone and Mapleheart padded into the clearing each carrying a piece of prey and went to drop it in the fresh kill pile. They then sat down to talk, Mapleheart doing most the talking with Spottedstone nodded along while washing his paws.
The young warrior she-cat kept yapping on to her stripped brother about everything that had happened that day, even though he had been with her through most of it. Spottedstone ignored most his sister's words and focused on looking around the clearing.

Toothless smiled and shook his head "no it's quite alright I understand. It's a natural feeling, no matter how strong the warrior, everyone longs for the ones they love, it's called being a normal cat. Those who feel no pain are the monsters really, but then again this isn't just my humble opinion." The black tom said, flicking his tail and looking at the she cat, his green eye she shone with curiosity "hmm...if you could be renamed, what would it be?" He asked looking quizzically at minnowstream.

Minnowstream frowned as she tried to think of an answer. "Well I guess my pelt is kind of the color of pebbles at the shore... So maybe Pebblecloud? Or Pebblepool? I really don't know," she admitted. She looked up at Toothless, meeting his gaze for once. "What would you rename me? I think I'd rename you... Brightstorm maybe. Bright because your eyes almost glow, and storm because you seem like an outgoing cat."

~been eating dinner~

The small feline was far lost in her thoughts. Having lowered her head to her paws she hadn't noticed the larger warriors approach. Mumbling something under her breath she let her rather fluffy fur poof up having a small amount of her kitten down remaining. Kneading the ground slightly she let out a small yawn her pale pink tongue stuck out as she had done so. It took her a moment or so before she realized the sudden approach of the warrior. Hearing her last question her ears perked up. “M-my names E-erieepaw” she said rather quietly keeping her gaze averted from the other. Being the polite cat she was she returned the gesture. “W-what about you?”

For Russetswirl, it had been a very long day.

He wasn’t exactly sure how his life had ended up here, or maybe it was the fact that he’d never thought about the events leading up to this moment. It was as if he went with the flow of everyone else, never thinking too deeply about the cats he cared for, or the choices he’d been forced to make. Three of the four kits in his second litter? Dead. His brother, Snakevoice? Dead. Two of Russetswirl’s past three apprentices? They died, too- he had to watch Willowpaw drown himself, as he tried so hard to save her as she was whisked away in the river, watching her struggle for her life as it drained out of her eyes. He mourned them, and then moved on- he was still haunted by their last moments of life- watching Willowpaw drown, seeing Snakevoice’s body go still as he was hit on the thunderpath, the monster showing absolutely no mercy as he sobbed in horror. Death was almost a part of his life now, ingrained into the tom’s very soul- and he was beginning to see behind the masks of others. Striding into the clearing, Russetswirl looked tired and weary. He set himself down at the far end, his tail wrapped around his paws as he sat in the sun, not exactly minding the chilly weather of Leaf-fall.

Shellfeather, his mate- she was grieving still, and he never got the chance to say he was sorry, before they started to drift apart even more. The molly was beautiful, and kind. She didn’t deserve all of this, but it was all his fault it happened- maybe if she had kits with another cat, they wouldn’t have died. She was an amazing mother.

His daughters had left him too, but not by death. They didn’t seem to like him anymore, they never even talked to him.

His sister, Thornfrost? She was a bully.

Thornfrost's Chausie pelt shone, the deputy of Riverclan having spent most of her time recently cleaning her pelt off. Her kits were honestly obnoxious to say the least- she'd dropped them off ages ago and tried not to have any interaction with the annoying bundles of fluff. It wasn't altogether too successful, though- they often decided to seek her out, despite her constant admonishment of this practice. Ah, well. They'd learn, someday. Stretching her back and listening to the vertebrae click into place, the molly sat contentedly on the cool, spongy earth, dragging her rough tongue over one large paw. A yawn split her maw, the beige feline still feeling the aftereffects of sleep, and her eyes roamed the camp for some conversation that might wake her up a bit. And... no one interesting. Surprise, surprise. She would've deigned it a necessity to seek out Brackencloud, but that was before. Before his fall. before their kits. Before, essentially, her life had begun falling apart. Well, she was still deputy, at least. That was a relief, her one comfort in this new Brackencloud-less world.

Her olives of eyes eventually settled on the one cat she knew at least somewhat well- her little brother, Russetswirl. Not exactly the most interesting of conversational partners, but he'd have to do. She'd heard a couple kits of his had died- perhaps his mind-numbing optimism had worn off. Wishful thinking, probably. At the very least he'd have a better view on the world, right? She hoped so, but her brother had retained his cheerfulness through far too many scenarios to be certain. She'd talked to him after Snakevoice had died, and he seemed happy enough, although sneaking perhaps a few too many glances at his mate, Shellfeather.

Gracefully using her paws to arise from her sitting position, the deputy strode over to her brother. "Russetswirl," she greeted, voice cordial and icy as always. "And how has your day been?" A small grin appeared at the corner of her mouth. If word-of-mouth was anything to go by, she was certain his answer would be negative.

Rippleheart stepped from the warriors' den with a small yawn and paused to stretch briefly by the entrance. He gave his cream pelt a quick shake, knocking himself slightly off-balance in the process. He managed to catch himself before he fell completely over, and darted his blue gaze rapidly around the clearing to see if anyone was around.

"I hope no one saw that," he mumbled. "I can't believe I overslept again! If the deputy or the leader catches me they'll have me on double duty with the elders again...."

The tom trotted across the clearing to a sunny spot and sat down, appraising his appearance critically. He still had some moss clinging stubbornly to the tabby markings along his legs. Rippleheart sighed and began his morning--or afternoon by this time--grooming routine.

"I wonder what adventures I'll get up to today," he mused aloud in between licks.

Of course it was true that Dropwhisker had more patience than the rest of the cats around her age. Nonetheless, the key word there is more. The especially silky fur rung on her neck, in the form of a collar, spiked up all of a sudden whilst her eyes caught the shimmering sun- again. It merely doubled to Drop's ticked off state. You MUST calm down, the young warrior pacified herself, for StarClan's sake. Hah- the sake of others, actually. She pawed the soft dirt beneath her, glaring at it, yet scarcely paying attention to what she was doing. Minuscule rocks dotted some patches like sand particles, Dropwhisker noticed. Many a Clanmate had to have padded atop this lovely earth for it to be the right forest-y ThunderClan ground. The feline stifled a sigh; then all of a sudden jerked the paw closer to her body, blue orbs widening. Oops. Thoughts on the Clans had done the trick, for sure! Drop was back in the present. Blushing at having daydreamed, but still in one piece.

Anyway. One thing she absolutely detested? Repeating herself. The one main colour-hued warrior's jaws opened to the same syllables, simply slower. "I'm Dropwhisker." After her little...episode...Dropwhisker took mental notice of Eeriepaw's trembling voice. She'd been a quieter kitten in her middle apprentice years. She resorted to traditional style meetings: prying, obviously!

"Sooo. It's Eeriepaw right? I just became a warrior, don't let me intimidate you, y'know. Do you have siblings or anything?" Dropwhisker decided to take the bolder route of straight-out asking. Cats with siblings tended to be more competitive in their own way, she'd observed before, although not entirely sure it was true. She attempted to lighten herself up. Exchanging info worked from time to time on other strangers. Maybe this interesting one too. "I was raised here in ThunderClan. Pretty boring, huh? I don't think I'd make a good elder, do you?" After this Dropwhisker nodded to the apprentice and comfortably settled back into her position. At the moment, she had all the time in the world!

@Empress Of Evil

Dustcloud hadn’t voluntarily spoken to many cats since Otterstar’s...demise? Had the havana died? A heavy feeling sits at the pit of Dustcloud’s stomach at the thought, prompting him to swallow harshly. He struggles, saliva getting lodged in his throat. It’s more painful than he’d anticipated. Otterstar was only a warrior when he was an apprentice. So much has changed since then. He fears he’s getting old.

It dawns on him that the only cat who’d remained with him is his brother and Snowypaw.
Any females who’d shown an interest in him made a habit of dying. Which is weird, because he’s certain he’s not that bad.

He pulls himself towards the warrior den, with nothing much better to do with himself, coming to a stop as his attention’s pulled by a voice chirping up behind him. Peering over his shoulder, he notes it’s a she-cat he’s conversed with a few times before. Cloudrain. He remembers her name thanks to the ‘cloud’ prefix.

“Oh, hey! Did you-- did you need me for something? A hunt?” Awkward as ever around she-cats, he tumbles over his own words.

Immediately, Russetswirl's ears perked up instinctively. He was just thinking about that voice, the cat who had decided, of everyone else in this clearing, to talk to him. Thornfrost was never the nicest cat, but there was something about her these days that just seemed... off. She was mean, and it was as if she thought he couldn't comprehend her tone of voice- and he really couldn't, not until he promised himself that he would try and get his life back on track. He'd been helping his niece, Beekit, a bit as well- her daughter, who she barely seemed to care about- along with her three other kits as well. She didn't even seem to care about herself too much, either- and hell, she was a mess without Brackencloud around to save her. So... why did Russetswirl believe that she had the capacity to change for the better? He still believed in her, day after day. He knew how terrible she was, but she was his sister, and the least he could do was care. "...Everything's doing fine, I guess- not much going on around here anymore." Shaking his head quietly, he looked back up towards his sister after a few seconds, trying to stay positive, to keep the subject matter strong. "Hey, how are your kits doing? I saw Beekit a few days ago- she's getting really good at walking with that limp!" He exclaimed, being as supportive as possible without acting like he didn't know anything about her.

She'd given up on her kits without having Brackencloud to raise them, hadn't she? They deserved more love than they were getting, surely. They weren't like all the other kits in the nursery- some were sickly, and some admired their birth mother to a strange extent for her not exactly being there to raise them well- but he didn't blame them. Hornetsight was his mother, and he'd do anything to keep her safe; but Hornetsight, she actually tried to do the same for him, to keep himself, Snakevoice... and Thornfrost as well as they could possibly be.

He hadn't asked how the apprentice was doing in the clan since she became apprentice, nor how hard her mentor was, or how duties were annoying to her."So how's it going?" he vaguely asked.

Goosedown has to watch herself around Beepaw. She seems larger than the apprentice, and a part of her fears she might squish or knock her over. As a foggy feeling of dysphoria picks under her pelt, she swallows hard, a desperately sudden and vicious want to be far slighter than she is. Far more molly-like, far more prettier. She hurriedly tries to recollect herself, turning back to Beepaw; the poor little chausie looks expectant. Goosedown assumes she’d asked a question.

“S-sorry, was there something you needed, Beepaw?” She tries, apologetic. She’s not terribly familiar with the life of the younger she-cat, but from what she’s caught in her peripherals or overheard accidentally, she understands the Beepaw’s maternal relationship is strained. Putting it lightly, she supposes, but she refuses to try and question the young apprentice on it. None of her business, is it? Even as clanmates -- so long as Beepaw isn’t physically harmed, she cannot accept involving herself.

“Was it...about the territory?” She tries, a guess; she even begins to wince, awaiting a correction.

A fluffy, white and black tom kit sat in the clearing, his high voice piping at another kit, a very attractive silvery white she-kit. Her sea green eyes shown with mischief as she talked to her brother, trying to get him to go with her into the RiverClan territory, which, of course, was strictly an Out of Bounds To All Kits and No Exceptions, and they both knew it.
"Come on, Ripariankit, you're such a scardey-mouse," Gossamerkit taunted her brother, sticking out her tongue at him.
"Am not," Ripariankit grumbled. "You just fancy that brown tabby tom warrior," he argued.
"Do not!" Gossamerkit scoffed hotly.
Splashkit walked over to the two kits. "H-hello." She said. Greystream wanted her to make friends, why not start with these kits? "I'm Splashkit, what are your names?" She asked, Her grey fur was still fluffed up. She had a milky scent that clung to her fur. The kit sat down, a purr came from her. Why was it so hard for her to talk to these two cats?

Splashkit (http://moonfurscats1213.weebly.com/graystream-and-splashkit.html) padded out of the nursery. She yawned, the she-kit hoped to get away from her mother. Greystream was a good mother, she just didn't think Splashkit would be a good Medicine cat. Splashkit knew Geckoleaf wouldn't choose her, unless she tried really hard. But even if the kit spent time with her, Splashkits odds where still really low. Splashkit let out a small sigh, that was a long time away. She had to be here now, not worrying about the future. As Splashkit looked around came, she watched the warriors talk. The Fresh-kill pile taunted her with a large fish sitting in it. But she was still to young to eat all of it. If she didn't finish it Greystream wouldn't be happy.

Minnowstream's eyes glowed with affection as she watched the kits from across the clearing. "Oh, they're just adorable." She didn't know if the tom next to her heard her, though she wasn't sure she was directing it towards him. She was tempted to leave him, and go play with the kits, but with the eyes of so many clanmates around, she stayed put. If they ask me to play... Well, then I couldn't turn them away. She gave a small sigh as she continued to watch the little bundles of fur.

Gossamerkit looked over at the kit who had just approached her and Ripariankit, and she smiled broadly, her eyes shining.
"Hello!" She meowed politely, her ears perky and white teeth shining in the lighting. "What's your name?" She asked the other kit.
Ripariankit cuffed his sister on the shoulder.
"Why're you always so talk-y? You're gonna scare away anyone who comes over," he pointed out sensibly.
"Well, I'm sorry for not sitting around without saying anything to anyone and being a plain old sissy, fishbreath," Gossamerkit retorted. The silver cat turned back to Splashkit, her smile instantly returning. "Sorry about him, he's a real mousebrain sometimes," she said sheepishly, earning a cuff over the ear by an agitated Ripariankit.
Ripariankit sighed and padded away from the two she-kits, and headed over to the much more sensible-like warriors. He grumpily sat down by Minnowstream, his chocolate brown gaze inspecting his white paws, which were on the ground in front of him.

"...Huh?" Beepaw had a bad habit of looking like she needed something whenever she didn't have something to do- one could guess that cats pitied her enough already, but the young apprentice didn't exactly pay attention to it very much. Her aunt and uncle had almost raised her, and so it would be expected of the molly that she'd treat them more like her parents than her birth mother. However, she'd proved all of them wrong- the little apprentice with a limp chased after Thornfrost as much as she could, attempting to learn every last thing about her mother, to be just like the chausie. She'd never exactly acted like the deputy, but more like her uncle, Russetswirl, when he was a kit- incredibly optimistic, and always seeming to think the best of everyone she crossed paths with.

"Oh- did I ask a question?" Beepaw fretted as she found herself faced with Goosedown, a warrior who always looked like they were afraid to hurt her- I'm not that fragile, don't worry! She exclaimed in her head, whenever she felt the stares of older cats, shaking their head whenever she'd try to go talk to her parents- no, just her mother.

Her father was the only thing that could keep her mother loving her kits, and he was dead before she was even born.

The molly's ears flattened back a rather fluster feel erupted in the pit of her stomach her ears flatted to the back of her small skull. "o-oh I'm sorry did y-you say it before? If you did I gravely apologize for my lack of attention" she mumbled quickly bowing her head towards the other in a type of an apologetic gesture. Hearing the mention of siblings she scrunched back her expression faltered from the genuine smile. "W-well you see I;m not entirely clan born and my siblings.... well they passed a couple of moons ago" Her voice faded out as she looked at her small paws her claws etched itself into the soil. Juding by the others personality and what she seen so far she sighed faintly "I t-think you'd make a wonderful elder" She leaned over and pressed her nose in the older mollys shoulder.

Blueish white...that was the colour the tip of the she-cat's tail was dipped in. It wasn't incredibly noticeable, just generally flashed out at first glance; sometimes causing the viewer to skip a beat and look again. At the moment, it was hidden under one of her paws. Instinctively, the tiny speck slunk out from beneath, and lifted itself up- all in one fluid movement. I mustn't let this Eeriepaw stress too much about my irritation, Dropwhisker fussed mentally, ignorant to the irony of the situation. Her mind whirled, recounting previous experiences when another cat would apologize, and she'd apologized back. Now she bent her head to the apprentice, "No, no, it's no problem." To any onlooker, the sight was undoubtedly bizarre. A fully grown warrior (small for her size, but the fact did remain) submitting to a younger, itty-bitty, new Clan cat? Where was her dignity? Dead in the fresh-kill pile for sure. Dropwhisker paid no mind to this.

Dropwhisker drew her lips backwards on her plain muzzle. Not an aggressive gesture, but rather a horrified one. Her own family line was calm and strangely normal. No unnatural deaths that she knew of. The lower part of the RiverClan feline's mouth hinged open, appalled. Needless to say, Eeriepaw appeared to be taking the deaths in a better manner. So she quickly regained her composure, blinking slowly and sympathetically. If it was another Clanmate, Dropwhisker would have smoothed out the fur along the other's spine. Better safe than sorry though. She could not risk traumatizing Eeriepaw by touching her. Swallowing a wistful sigh, Dropwhisker fastened this decision firmly in the back of her mind. Just in case she felt more friendly urges; her eyes darkened at the prospect of it happening. "I'm sorry," Drop mewed solemnly, then, with a jolt, perceived that the phrase must have been how countless others had reacted, meaning her words meant nothing. "I'm also sorry that I cannot feel the same lurching emotion you feel, Eeriepaw," she continued. "And I'll say sorry once more, sorry that you probably had to go through hearing those two words from cats who just could not feel what you felt when they...when they died."

The corners of her eyes crinkled as Eeriepaw touched her velvety fur. Internally, Dropwhisker's brain hustled to eliminate the 'do not touch' thought from before. Alarm bells rung. But steadily her mind accommodated the brand-new freedom. Its strides matched up and ran simultaneously with Dropwhisker's exterior, her actions. Purring, she chortled, "Thanks." Deep in her rain brimmed orbs a mischievous twinkle arose, much like her brother's more common ones. "I shouldn't be so ahead of myself, hm? I've got a long way to go before becoming an elder, and so do you! Actually, would you care to hang out today? We can exchange our favourite places around camp - or hey, maybe outside! Whatever you want," she ended warmly.

Blackdust continued to groom himself in a drawn-out fashion. This she-cat seems to have some sense, then, he thought secretly. He pawed at his impeccably positioned whiskers then addressed her again. "Are you really so desperate for friendship that you call a bunch of whining hair-balls your best friends?" He laughed softly before continuing. "I mean, honestly! They're nothing but nuisances. I don't understand how anyone can bear to be around them."

Cool wind whistled through her ears, but for once the deputy didn't try to tune her brother out. As she'd pondered before, perhaps he'd changed for the better. It was hard to imagine the tom's fundamental nature had changed, but one could hope. As he mentioned her kits, Thornfrost paused for a moment, head cocked slightly. How were they doing? She didn't really know, actually. Often they'd seek her out- especially that annoying, clingy little thing she'd named Beekit. She was probably her least favorite of them all- not only because of her habit off seeking the deputy's affection, but also because she was just so imperfect, and Thornfrost despised any and all imperfection or weakness. Especially something that would weaken how useful the cat was to the clan, such as the she-kit's limp.

Wait- what was that Russetswirl had said? Something about the limp, she believed. Despite her mind's protests, apparently his words were so dull she'd accidentally tuned them out anyway. Attempting to remember what he said, she paused for a few moments, not caring about the awkward silence that ensued. She was getting better at moving around? Something like that- or something equally stupid, anyway. "The kits are well," she replied, albeit having no clue how well they were doing. Russetswirl would probably know better than she would- he spent more time with the kit quartet. "You've heard about the fire, right?" Thornfrost asked, wondering whether the news had yet reached his ears. She wouldn't be surprised-- news traveled fast in Riverclan.

The light breeze shifted throughout the clearing a certain scent was caught in its grip. tilting her head to the side she began to give a little sniff her attention to the molly vanished completely for the moment being. Lifting herself out of her sitting position she closed her eyes letting the wind brush the tips of her ears. Listening to the wind as if it was some sort of song sending chilled shivers down her spine. After a heartbeat or so she snapped out of her trance turning her attention back to subject at hand. Hearing the last of what the warrior had said she smiled weakly sitting back on her hunches she drew a small pink tongue over her muzzle her blue gaze rested steadily on them. "I-i don;t s-see why we couldn't.... t-though I don't see why you would want to waste your time with someone like me...an outsider" Letting out a bitter laugh she turned her attention away her ears flattened back to her skull her claws sinked as deep as she could managed into the ground below. Her father was the only thing that could keep her mother loving her kits, and he was dead before she was even born.

“...Oh!” Goosedown’s eyes widen, realizing that Beepaw hadn’t wanted anything from her to begin with. A part of her supposes it’s for the best that Beepaw hadn’t been raised by her mother; as far as the warrior knows, Thornfrost hasn't proven herself to be particularly good of heart. Goosedown had only been an apprentice during Otterstar’s demise and Bucknight’s rise to rule, but she trusts her gut when it tells her something’s off about certain cats. Now she waits, perpetually on edge, to be proven correct.

Beepaw remains positive, optimistic, even -- all despite the limp in her step and her family life. Goosedown finds herself admiring the young one, wishing she’d only have been as persevering at that age. Certainly, there’s no need for pity; she knows nothing good ever comes from a relationship grown on pity.

“No, no! I mean...I don’t know. I wasn’t paying attention.” Goosedown confesses, the fur around her neck prickling with embarrassed heat. Powdery hues dance over the surroundings, as if she can’t look the younger in the eye. “Lost in my own thoughts, I suppose.”

She bites a laugh out, then clears her throat.

“Have you been eating enough, Beepaw?” She switches, more maternal, calming herself down from her clumsy admission of airheadedness. "Be sure to eat enough while you can. Prey gets scares in leafbare."
