Very serious sibling meeting [p]

Ok, so, the gathering. It'd been.... Boring honestly boring and cold and dull and ugh Rainpaw had thought the other clans would be interesting and boy she'd been wrong. Coldpaw said they'd been more interesting the time before but this time? Nah.

But the little silver molly HAD learned a few.... interesting things she'd been dwelling on of late. Even if the annoying little snot that'd delivered it had been rude, stupid, and also boring.
So upon being reminded that she actually had other siblings besides Coldpaw upon seeing that Rookkit was back (oh so the little traitor decided that abandoning her siblings WASNT a good idea after all? Shocker) Rainpaws idea crystalized.


Coldpaw was first collected, Rainpaws best sibling getting the privileges the position deserved and guided to the meeting spot and even given a run down of the plans before the lilac-silver molly was off to collect the others. Of course her similarly pelted sister was told she was to guard Rainpaws stop on the rock that gave her a (barely 2 inch) vantage point of the spot but double duty was easy.


What was less easy was finding which siblings were actually LEFT, barking "SIBLING MEETING TIME! Meet behind the apprentices den, Coldpaw is already there!" At all of them. Honestly? The little brat of a molly forgot most of these were her siblings for how little they talked.

Rookkit was recently returned and her along with Driftingkit were the only babies left. Peachpaw was there, so was Cinderpaw, Raccoonpaw, Orchidpaw, Shrikepaw, and of course Coldpaw and Rainpaw.
In all they'd lost Mosskit, Moorkit, Coyotepaw and Bravepaw.


Shame, except Rainpaw didnt care and there was important things at hand! Leaping onto her rock to look over the siblings who'd better have gathered the meeting was to begin with a firmly declared. "Siblings I come to you with important news from the latest gathering! We have Rivals to our claim of the heirs to greatness! This cannot be allowed, we must be better then those stinky rats!

Oh also Rookkit is back, huzzahs and all that. And Song-Mama looks sad that no one says hi and visits, you all need to be better." The Rookkit part was meh but Leopardsong was more of a mother to the litter then Twilightstar in Rainpaws mind so she shouldnt be allowed to be sad and lonely.

Rookkit

A squeak of a voice ran through the camp like a madman. Despite the passage of time, Rookkit could still recognize that shrill voice. Yeah...yeah. She had siblings alright. It wasn't like she didn't think of them. It was more like, she didn't want to show her embarrassing, unapprenticed self.

Because of her short time in WindClan, Rookkit hardly even know her way around. Where's the apprentice den? No clue. But she could tell from a distance that those were Rainkit and Coldkit. I guess it would be Rainpaw and Coldpaw... Even Cold became an apprentice... Rookkit shook off her negative, jealous feeling but her mood still remained sour as she padded towards them.

She settled herself down, not really knowing how to interact with her siblings. They feel like strangers at the moment. Distant. And that was 100% Rookkit's fault. Surprisingly, Rainpaw actually knew she returned, but the whole announcement made Rookkit wince and want to crawl into a hole. That was exaggeration... Rookkit never wants to return to the dark ever again.

And who are these rivals? Why would they have rivals? She couldn't tell whether Rainpaw meant it or it was some random imaginary scenario she had concocted. Either way, her...sister...was right, they needed to talk to Leopardsong once in a while. Yeah... Rookkit hesitated. She still need to let the queen know that she's back...

Hmm. She was bored. Bored! She wanted to go out and learn something! See some sights, go running! Being stuck in camp sucked. She thought her apprenticeship would mean huge freedom, but she was wrong. The 'paw huffed, before hearing a call from her sibling. A sibling meeting? YES!! She came running as fast as she possibly could, skidding to a halt behind the apprentice's den.

Rivals?! Already? She'd ended up missing the last gathering, "who are they?!" She sniffed. "We'll show 'em up next gathering, for sure!" And... Rookkit was back? Her head turned, finally noticing her sibling right next to her - "ROOKKIT!!" She squealed, practically throwing herself at her, going for a kind of headbutt, but it was honestly more of a body lam - good luck Shrikepaw was one of the (if not THE) smallest in the litter, so it wasn't likely to cause any harm. "I'm so glad you're back! Where were you?! What happened?! Oh - and - uh -" She turned her head back to Rainpaw, "Song-Mama! Yes! Yes, I need to visit her!"

A meeting? What did it matter? It was just stuff he was going to figure out eventually after all, he didn't think a meeting was needed. Especially one hosted by Rainpaw. She was yappy, and enjoyed hearing her own voice. It wasn't because they were both similar and both of abrasive mindsets.

No. Not at all.

Cinderpaw sent Rookkit a half hearted wave. Not too impressed, but not annoyed she was back. Indifferent. Truthfully.

At the mention of 'rivals' the apprentice realized this meeting was a waste of time. A dramatic sigh and the apprentice had decided to lay himself down on the floor. "Rivals. They aren't worth labeling as rivals. We know they're better than them, I don't see why we need to do anything more." a pause as he yawned and rolled over to his side. "We were born better, I don't see a need to do anything more."

Peachpaw

Rainpaw's call jolts Peachpaw from his wandering thoughts. He pushes himself to his paws, giving his pelt a quick shake before he makes his way to the designated spot behind the apprentices' den. Coldpaw is greeted with a purr and gentle nuzzle to her shoulder before he moves on to shoot Rookkit a happy grin. "Glad you're back, Rookkit."

Rainpaw unsurprisingly saves the announcement of Rookkit's return for after the announcement about rivals. Peachpaw tilts his head in confusion, not quite sure what his sister could be talking about. He feels much the same as Cinderpaw, though guilt swells in his heart when he remembers Leopardsong. He was closer to Twilightstar, but there's no denying how much Leopardsong had done for them. He mentally scolds himself for not spending more time with her.

"We will be better than them as long as we continue as we are. If you're lazy, then you'll fall behind Cinderpaw," Peachpaw teases, aiming a lazy swat at his tail before he too plops down next to his brother.

Coldpaw

Her position atop the small stone - heavily guarding Rainpaw's higher ledge or so help her! - Coldpaw sat in silence. There was a few ways she could see this meeting go, and none of them were particularly interesting. Mostly Rainpaw commanding the group, perhaps a few voices that would retort or agree, and then they might be going their separate ways again. Quite upsetting if you asked her. If she was lucky this impromptu sibling meeting might bring the group together instead; implore them all to spend more time together and rise above the Shadow Heirs and prove that the Children of the Wind were far superior. Erm, not that she shared her sister's ambition. Coldpaw pressed her lips together. Noooo.... But she had to admit, the thought of proving these other leader's kits that they were superior in some way sounded thrilling. She wasn't above a bit of friendly competition.

So when Rainpaw returned and her siblings started trickling in one by one, Coldpaw was ultimately more interested in the meeting than she thought she would be. The first to appear to her was an almost unknown scent, her nose wiggling and ears tilting to catch a bit of sound.
"I can't hear her. Is that Rookkit?"
She asked her closest sister, tilting her head. She had assimilated most of their scents and gaits to mind by now, except for those who had disappeared. It had to be Rookkit.
"Huzzah, huzzah."
She added in a flat tone. What, she couldn't be expected to greet someone whose identity she wasn't sure of. Next came Shrikepaw, she could tell by how excitable she was. The dramatic, careless one was Cinderpaw. And the last one... Peachpaw. She recognises his voice from patrols.

Her ear flicked in thought at these words, wondering if she should continue to be a silent on-looker as she often was or add her own few words to the equation. Most seemed favourable in proving the rivals that they were the best, it encouraged the young she-cat.
"Dawnstar's kin doesn't appear particularly impressive as of yet."
She added after a few seconds of pondering, her mind turning back to the stoic apprentice from before.
"The one we met was kind of stuck-up. I think we can surpass them."

Alright note to self Driftingkit, Racoonpaw, and Orchidpaw were dead to her and soon to be actually dead because Rainpaw was gonna make them regret their life for missing this sibling meeting. Such a shame, not really.


She got the Important ones though! So good enough.


Grabbing Rookkits tail without a single ask for permission Rainpaw brought it over to Coldpaw to sniff, ignoring all protests firmly declaring "This one is Rookkit, she's being sulky and silent unlike everyone else." before going back to her perch, nodding happily at Cinderpaw. She thought he was stupid and gross for doing tunneling with that filthy deputy but he was proud ambitious and pretty, so had Rainpaws approval. "Of course we're better then them Cinderpaw, but theyre idiots and dont know that so we need to prove it so they'll bow down as they should.


Siblings our rivals to fame and power are no one else but Dawnstars kits! They seem to be around our age but think because their mother is the rat queen theyre equal to us, princes and princess' of the moor. Obviously we're cooler and better because our home isnt a yucky swamp full of evil ugly and stupid shadowclan cats but they dont know that." No one could expect brains out of shadowclan cats so honestly it was to be expected. Poor things just didnt know their place. Their place in the mud as the frog-rats they were.


Nodding at Coldpaw, the silver molly continued. "Me and Coldpaw met one of them last gathering, Grottopaw and he was large but kinda plain looking. Really rude to, he was a creep to Coldpaw." Waaaaaay to interested in her lack of eyes, weirdo. "Theres gotta be more but we need to learn more about them and also learn cool stuff so everyone talks good about us next gathering so they can hear about their greatness. Any other ideas to beat them? I REFUSE to loose to rats." Not that they would, of course but Rainpaw was determined for her victory to be so overwhelming it went down in history.

It didn't take long before the other kittens arrived by the meeting place Rainkit- paw.. Rainpaw had set. Shrikepaw was the first to bound into her with a cheerful energy that Rookkit could hardly match. "Oh- uh hi...Shrike...paw?"

Rookkit couldn't get use to calling them by their apprentice name...or rather it was her pride that held her voice from speaking up and admitting defeat. She nodded back to Cinderpaw, and thanked Peachpaw to the best of her "really bad but hopefully genuine" ability. Rookkit wanted to respond to Coldkpaw before being intervened by Rainpaw's words and continued announcement.

Rookkit grumbled a little, but she wasn't wrong. Rookkit was definitely being sulky and there's nothing she can do about that until she get to become an apprentice like the rest of them.

The dusky lilac kitten grumbled her words, "If we are already better than them, how are they even competition...?"

Oh wait, maybe Rookkit should just shut it and play along with this scheme her sister wanted to make, but she digress.

Racconpaw scarred into the meeting hold something that was a piece of twoleg junk she had scavenged it from the warriors den it belonged to vinesomebody she could honestly care less it was hers now it was a colicky thing and thiugh it wasn’t shiny she liked it nonetheless. She looked around at the gathered cats rain paw Coldpaw most of the whole bunch was here. “sorry for being late but I had to be fashionable so what’s I miss?” She asked while taking a seat “Something about Shadowclan I heard distasteful lot if I do say so myself”

The grey tom let out an annoyed grunt as Peachpaw flopped beside him. Tossing a glare over his shoulder. Rude much? "You're taking up way too much space next to me right now. You're fat. Back up." the tom huffed, all in a joking manner. Of course. He mainly wished to annoy his sibling as much as he annoyed him. A light kick in Peachpaw's general direction.

However, all the ire Cinderpaw felt immediately vaporized the moment Raccoonpaw started talking. A slow head turn towards towards his sister, and a very long, deliberate pause before speaking up "Why are you talking like you're 200 moons old." he asked in a deadpanned tone.
