Wrenwing sat on a thick, low tree branch looking for a thunderclanner to taunt with his mere presence. His tail hung low, swaying off the branch until he saw- Hivepaw! He hadn't seen him in a long while, huh? "'Ey, Hivey! Come on over here 'fore Bumblestar catches us!" He barked out, climbing down the tree with a rare seen smile.

The apprentice need to go on a walk. They were not happy with the state of the clan right now. So they found himself near the outskirts. Maybe they hoped to see Ashwhisker and Echobarley out here. But the voice they eventually heard wasn't one they expected.

"Wren?" Hivepaw glanced around with confusion before he spotted the tom in a tree. Good thing they learned climbing.. The young apprentice hooked their claws into the bark and drove themselves upwards until they were crouching on the branch beside Wrenwing. "I heard you were exiled! What exactly happened?" Hivepaw couldn't believe that two of their friends were exiled. The stripped brown apprentice fur bristled and they pinned their ears back. "Bumblestar just goes to exile cat's when they haven't even done anything wrong!"

"Yeah, the brat exiled me for... Something I didn't even do! She thought I was taking pray from the kits and elders without any proof! She's crazy!" Wrenwing lied. He hated lying. It tasted like an unwashed mouth and metal. But he didn't want to lose one of his only fun connections he had to his old clan. "Anyway, how's Thunderclan been doing? Falling to fox-dung without me, probably." The rouge grumbled, picking at the bark of the tree with his claw.

"It's felt empty." The apprentice moved to lay their head on the branch while their paws draped over the tree. "How's...being out here?"

Hivepaw and nudging them slightly. "It's not that bad. I've had some more time to focus on myself and train solo, y'know? I learned how to case squirrels through trees, so - that's cool."

Hivepaw turned their face over to the tom with a frown. "You did that in Thunderclan though.." they lamented, flicking their tail slowly. "But that's cool." the apprentice added, not wanted to make the mood more sour than it already was. "I hope your dealing with the cold well.. If.. if you need anything maybe I could help." Hivepaw lifted their head when they made the offer, blinking hopefully at their old friend.

"Well, guess I could use some company every so often... It gets lonely. I found a kit alone by the border though. Took 'im in." He lied again. This time, he didn't qualm over it. He'd killed that kits parents, he couldn't tell them about that! He wasn't stupid! "Say, wanna come back to my place? I'm more than set with pray."

"A loner kit? What were they doing out here?" Hivepaw sounded surprised. There was no way that a small kit can survive out here without warrior training.

The apprentice appreciated the offer but they hesitated. "I shouldn't be out here.. I.. What if they notice that I ate..? I'll.. get in much more trouble.." Hivepaw's tail wrapped around their leg nervously. It was a habit to use their tail to convey their emotions.
