Location: Main Territory

Acornfall strutted out to the general territory area outside of camp, taking a nice deep breath of cold air. Something about it was energizing, even if he did actually prefer the warmer seasons, if for nothing else than the benefit of his clan. The large brown tabby turned and waited for Emberpaw to join him. This time, he was determined for the tour to go...smoother. Trying to adhere to Bumblestar's restrictions before, and his desire to take out both Chasmpaw and Slypaw at the same time, proved to be too ambitious. Now, Acornfall would work with them one-on-one, unless otherwise requesting. Otherwise, he was concerned that things would get too messy.

As Emberpaw first exited camp he was overwhelmed with sights and smells. He crept out. His singe white ear twitching as he gave a harsh glare to a brush that touched his face. "This is...dirty" Emberpaw murmured. "I didn't think it would be this wide open....jeez" emberpaw stood fully. His long legs gliding over to his mentors side

Acornfall chuckled at Emberpaw's reaction. "If you think this is open, wait until you see what WindClan's territory looks like." The brown tabby mewed with a chuckle. "This is the general territory, the largest chunk of our clan's land. You'll probably do a good chunk of hunting and stuff around here." He mewed, waving his tail around him to showcase the territory. "Any questions?" He asked with a bright smile.

Emberpaw purred gently. "Windclan is bigger!? But... I heard they have no trees."

Acornfall chuckled again at Emberpaw's surprise. He figured he'd be the type of apprentice to have a big reaction to something like that. "It's not bigger persay, but their territory certainly looks more open simply because they only have a few trees." He explained. "See, WindClanners sometimes like to sleep outside under the stars. They're not used to having a lot of cover above their heads like we do." As the broad-shouldered tom explained it, he quickened his pace slightly. "C'mon! I'll show you around our territory first and then show you the borders! We've got a lot of ground to cover so be sure to keep up!" With that said, Acornfall continued onward.

He first brought Emberpaw to the frozen over Cattail Pond, standing a few paces behind the dried cattails that surrounded the pond. "This big ole puddle is called Cattail Pond." He explained, looking over at Emberpaw. "We mostly use this as a place to train cats to swim, if they wish to learn it. But we can also sometimes find water fowl and some fish like perches and chubs here. When the water's not frozen over that is." He explained. "Of course, if you wanna learn how to swim you'll have to ask somecat else 'cause...yeah I don't swim real good." He chuckled as he looked at Emberpaw with a grin. Getting wet...not his favorite. "I can show you how to fish from the edges of the pond though if you ever wanna learn that." Fishing was basically hunting and that he could manage.

Emberpaws navy eyes widened along the walk. "I like looking at the stars. Me and Cinderkit used to sneak out of the den and watch the stars. It was peaceful" Emberpaw purred. Though he couldn't hide the small tone of sadness as he spoke about his sister. Emberpaw shook out his jet black pelt. Being led to a pond... water. Yuck. "What do we use it for?" Emberpaw asked. Blinking he flicked his singular white ear. He inherited his father's wide shoulders, this trait showing as he leaned forward to gentle lap a bit of the water. "Ohh cold!" Emberpaw squealed as it touched his nose. Emberpaw looked at Acornfall. His eyes lighting up as he teased. "You won't teach me to swim? Someone's scared~" The young Tom teased. His tail flicking over Acornfalls shoulder to let him know it was a joke

Acornfall's gaze softened as Emberpaw spoke of his sister. He reached over and touched his nose to the young cat's ear in an affectionate, empathetic gesture. "You still can." He murmured, giving Emberpaw a small smile. "It'll just be a little different. Cinderkit will among the stars now when you look at them, but she's still watching over you." He hoped Emberpaw didn't take his words the wrong way. Speaking of grief with such a young mind, and one that was not his own son's...he was never sure if he was saying something he shouldn't.

Acornfall first scoffed then chuckled light-heartedly at Emberpaw's tease. "Yea? Then I suppose you wouldn't mind if I organized a swimmin' lesson for ya?" He shot back, scruffing Emberpaw's head with his forepaw lightly. He gave the tom a warm blink, also reassuring him it was a tease, before turning. "Well, if we're done here then on to the next!" he proclaimed proudly, moving on to the next section of their territory.

Location: Willow's Rise

The brown tabby trotted up to the large weeping willow, turning to face Emberpaw once he neared it. "This is the last major area near the camp." He meowed as Emberpaw caught up. He waited for the young tom to stand next to him before continuing. "This is Willow's Rise. It's a nice spot to sunbathe in greenleaf and newleaf, and a good huntin' spot generally." he paused before he continued, taking a deep breath. "It's also...ThunderClan's graveyard." He explained, blinking down at Emberpaw with a solemn gaze. He reached down, touching his muzzle briefly to Emberpaw's head. He had debated bringing him here this early, but it made sense to do the areas nearest camp and work their way out.

He cleared his throat after a moment, not wanting to completely bring down the mood for today. This was his first time out of the camp after all! "If you have no questions, we can move on." He meowed gently, offering the young tom a small smile. "There's much still to see."

Emberpaw purred at Acornfalls teasing. "Swimming it is!!" He exclaimed. Purring. As they reached the assumed graveyard. Emberpaws gaze didn't fall, yet it softened. Emberpaw walked carefully. Sniffing the ground. "I remember.... my mother told me she buried my siblings beside her father and brother. There names were Longsky and Stoneface. " Emberpaw recalled "and my fathers mother.. Freezelight. Shes..." Emberpaw racked his brain. "Oh. Here. By this odd looking root" Emberpaw mewed. Emberpaw saw his sisters grave. He'd requested to plant a small white snowbell on her grave. His mother had went with his wish. Seeing the Snowbell Emberpaws eyes rounded. He softly walked over. Sniffing the Snowbell and sighing. "Do you think she'll be happy..? I can't shake off a feeling of guilt training without her... I miss her dearly" Emberpaw admitted.

Location: Willow's Rise

Acornfall allowed Emberpaw to speak and wander Willow's Rise, his gaze gentle with empathy. He didn't know for sure, but this seemed to be good for Emberpaw. The snowbell flower...was something that struck him. It seemed...like such a pure representation of the soul. He padded forward, touching his nose to Emberpaw's ear. "I can't speak for her...but I have a feeling she'd be proud." He meowed, trying to catch his apprentice's gaze and show him a small, comforting smile. "You're still here. Continuing to move forward isn't easy, I'm sure they both know that. But you're doing it anyway - learning how to serve your clan."

The brown tabby stood tall and faced forward, bowing his head in respect for the fallen kits. Taken far too soon... "If it were me, I would want my living sibling to live life as fully as possible. Have all kinds of experiences, meet all sorts of cats, learn all kinds of things. So that when they join me in StarClan, they can tell me all about it." His voice had a tinge of a wistfulness to it. He couldn't imagine leaving Mothflame or Snowleopard behind, but if he had passed as Acornkit, he was certain that's what he would want for them. He looked back over to Emberpaw with a gentle look in his eyes and another small smile. "Are you ready to continue?" He asked, the unspoken question really asking if Emberpaw needed some more time here or not.
