she did. she really did, didn't she? hazycry thought she had one last sibling, but then hawkpaw died, why did her sister need to die?

enough, please. her mind pleaded. why, why had her great-grandmother chosen a name like this?

A damning wish
Solace was a peace she would never feel.
Truthfully, she knew she was damned. pain and suffering was normal to her. an empty abyss is all she is, all she ever will be. she gazes up towards the lack of moon, the radiant orb a tranquility of which was currently absent.
every moment she yearned for her family back, for her claws to dig into something, she wished for a lot of things, but the one that really broke her was the one that came true. everything was bright, the first days she was still adjusting whilst also grieving.
breathing was too much for her, oh how she wished to just bleed into the flickering shadows. oh to be a simple thing such as that.
a broken cry left her maw as she thought of her sister and her sight.
