Nightwhisper was ecstatic. He'd practically dragged Acornfall and Emberkit from there nests as he heard th cats were coming home that day. His paws twitching in anticipation as he kept shaking beside Acornfall. "Gosh what am I going to do...or say...or....gosh I miss her" Nightwhisper murmured @Luna16

The broad-shouldered brown tabby couldn’t help but purr in amusement and joy as he watched his friend pace eagerly. Before he may not have been able to relate, but now… Acornfall couldn’t imagine being forcibly separated from Briarmask like this. He chuckled at Nightwhisper’s question, sitting with his tail wrapped around Emberkit to provide some warmth. “Aren’t you the one who’s supposed to give me advice?” He countered teasingly, raising a brow. “Try to relax, my friend! I’m sure Weepingwillow is just as eager to see you and Emberkit again as you are to see her.” He pointed out, though he wasn’t sure how much help that actually was.

Nightwhisper nodded watching eagerly as cats filed in little by little. He glanced down to see Emberkit snuggled against Acornfalls tail. His blue eyes wide and eager.
Nightwhisper kept watching the cats walk in, his black pelt fluffed up and quivering.
Suddenly a strong, flowery scent entered the Tom's nose. Him and Emberkit stood up in sync at the scent. The beautiful grey shecat gazed at Nightwhisper with her navy blue eyes. Nightwhisper purred loudly as he saw her, as soon as she was out from behind another cat, Nightwhisper let her race to him, bowling him over. Both quivering in happiness as he playfully batted hr ears, tail lashing happily as she licked all over his fave and ears. Nightwhisper snuggled his muzzle into her shoulder, "God I missed you so much....so so so much..." Nightwhisper murmured. Smirking and then grunting as Eberkit landed on Weepingwillows back, adding more pressure to Nightwhispers stomach. Nightwhisper heard Emberkits loud giggled as he exclaimed. "Mommy's back mommy's back!!!!!"
Weepingwillow purred gently as she let Emberkit slide off, both letting Nightwhisper up. "I missed you boys so much. Oh my precious son, my precious boy" Weepingwillow murmured. Her voice cracking softly as she wrapped her son close to her.
"Mama! Your squishing me! "
Weepingwillow purred softly. Letting him go, and licing his fur down. "Thats how much I missed you" she purred. Her eyes darkening at his next question, "Where's Skykit and Cinderkit? Are they still sick?"
Nightwhispers gaze darkened as he instinctively moved beside Weepingwillow. Glancing at Acornfall and looking at Emberkit. Silently asking for him help comforting his son as Emberkit trusted Acornfall dearly.
Emberkit looked around. "Uncle Acorn... why is mama and papa upset?" Emberkit asked. Blue eyes widened innocently

Acornfall couldn’t help purr loudly at the family’s reunion, standing dutifully off to the side to allow them their space. It wasn’t until Emberkit’s question, and Nightwhisper’s subsequent glance, that he felt the weight of why he was there in the first place. The brown tabby rose to his paws, clearing his throat lightly before padding over to Emberkit. He glanced at Nightwhisper and Weepingwillow, certain that they wanted to be the ones to ultimately give Emberkit the news.

“Well kiddo…” He mewed softly, words catching in throat. What should he say? All he could do was wrap his tail around Emberkit, pulling him closer. Stars…how was he supposed to do this? “Do you…remember what your dad told you before?” He mewed gently. That was a start. He looked at Nightwhisper helplessly, he didn’t want to accidentally step on any toes. He knew that parents tended to have very specific ways they liked to have this kind of conversation with their kids, and he didn’t want to mess it up. He hoped his presence would be enough for now…gaze fixed on the kid’s parents, his friends. His dear friends who had lost…so so much…

Emberkit snuggled close to Acornfall.. "uhmm. Didn't papa say that they were really sick? And...that sometimes sick cats don't come back" the little mewed. Noticing his mother throw his father a suprised yet harsh look, the little kit blinked as his father pinned his ears at his mother's glare.
Nightwhisper mewed softly, "Ember....Cinderkit and Skykit are one of those few cats that won't be coming back." Nightwhisper mewed. Seeing Emberkits eyed widen with tears. The emotion awkward tom froze.
"Its ok my love. Me and your father and Uncle Acorn will care for you. Always. Your sister Cottonpaw will also always be there for you.... Cinderkit an Skykit...yes dear they are dead.... but they are happy and healthy now. There waiting for you to grow and be a big strong warrior. To fend for your clan and them defend them in Starclan as well" Weepingwillow soothed softly. Her words making Emberkits soft sobs calm into small sniffles. His tiny claws clung gently to Acornfalls pelt. "So... I have to grow...with them...but without them?"
