Crypto slid into the shadows of the slim alleyway, his dark pelt hiding him as if he were a shadow himself.
With a swift inhale, Crypto felt content. He had finally found a quiet place with food and shelter. A silver plated, metal trashcan sat near a few empty boxes, the stentch the items carried was unbearable... But it's not like Crypto should care much.
With a swipe of his paw, Crypto knocked over the trashcan, its lid flying off, both its base and lid clanking to the hard cement.
The black tom then started sifting through the contents of the trashcan, searching for something edible... but atlast, a half full can of some sort of Twoleg food was found.
It was better than nothing... So, like any Cat would, Crypto crouched down, seeping his fangs into the contents of the half empty can of... some sort of food.. The large trash can he found the scraps in, lay still, tipped over onto the ground for easier access of the treasures within.
It had been a silent night, as most are, yet the sound of approaching pawsteps made him freeze, dropping the can, muscles tensing up. "Who's there?" Crypto growled, awaiting the unsuspecting cat to show themself. Whoever is interupting my meal like this will get their ears clawed off! Crypto swore to himself, his fur spiked up as if he were a hedgehog.

With a swift inhale, Crypto had finally fuound a quiet peice with food and shelter. A silver plated, metal trashcan sat near a few empty boxes, the stentch the items carried was unbearable... But it's not like Crypto should care much.

Badger had been prowling through alleys, following the scent of a cat that was no doubt searching for food, food that would be his as soon as they found it. His muscles rippled under his pelt as he heard the unmistakable clattering of a trash can, licking his lips hungrily. He began to pad forward, bushing his fur up as much as he could to appear threatening and hoping that in the dark, his badger like markings on his fur, would give the other cat enough of a spook to steal whatever food they had.
At the sound of a cats voice, he let out a low hiss and slid out into view, eyes narrowed. "That's my food."
"Pfft--your food?" Crypto snorted, turning around to glare at the tom threateningly. "C'mon now. I found this food fair and square. If you really want food, beg those Twolegs for some!" Crypto growled at the tom, puffing himself out to make him seem larger. "Or, are ya mouse-hearted? Too scared to try it?" Crypto went on, "Is it because you are secretly a kittypet pretending to be all muscular?" He paused,"All bark no bite I see.." Crypto let out a snobbish huff, his gaze hooked onto the tom before him, watching him closely.

I will let you (and others) join the RP, but mostly at a much more appropriate time (like if a group of cats were introduced, maybe a kittypet or two) OR I can post smth under this original thread and tag you in the post once a new character will be introduced?
Burn seems interesting, I may perhaps want to see her in this storyline in the future!

"Pfft--your food?" Crypto snorted, turning around to glare at the tom threateningly. "C'mon now. I found this food fair and square. If you really want food, beg those Twolegs for some!" "These are my trashcans," He sneered, this whole area wasbhis, at least in his mind, and it was getting to be cold and that meant more cats would be taking from the trash and there would be less fresh prey, less food for Badger. Frankly, it rather bothered him to be acting this eay, but one could never be too careful during winter, after the horrible winter he had been through the year before... he couldn't risk the loss again which meant bring unfriendly, even if it did go against his own.
"Kittypet? Me?" He barked out a laugh. He began to tense as he took a threatening step towards Crypto. "I was born and raised in these streets. I own these streets."

Crypto eyed the tom, sizing him up. "I highly doubt that.." Crypto gave a suspicious glance, taking a small step forward. This fox-heart really thinks he owns this entire block, huh? How entitled!
Crypto let out a quiet snort, rolling his eyes. "Who do you think you are? I've never even seen you around here!" The black tom hissed, flexing his claws a bit.
He sneered at him, matching the step forward. "Just because you haven't seen me around doesn't mean it's not my turf. This is my area, and therefore everything you're touching is mine." He paused for a moment, "My name is Badger." Why he offered that, he had no idea. He was supposed to be being rude and standing his ground.
Crypto gave a skepitcal stare, tilting his head for a moment before speaking yet again, yet this time more hesitantly. "Well badger, I'm.. Crypto." The black tom mewed, softening his gaze on the larger tom, and with a hum, he spoke yet again. "You seem interesting.. err--I suppose." Crypto stammered, attempting to still look just as mighty.. Though his attempt was for sure a failure. I can't believe I just said that out loud! I'm supposed to hate him, he's an enemy.. Well, I guess? Puh! What does it matter? Crypto silenced his thoughts, letting out a huff before glancing back up at Badger, giving him a questioning stare.
