The large warrior had been resting, so far her pregnancy hadn't been too bad, her first litter had been so much more stressful, though perhaps that was due to their fathers.

Daywhisper let out a gentle groan at Hollypaw's voice. It's not that she didn't adore him and love his presence, but STARS was she tired, but she'd failed to tell her children about her pregnancy, keeping herself too busy to retire to the nursery again to tell them. She slowly pushed herself to her paws, a yawn escaping her maw as she groomed bits of moss out of her fur. She frowned, she was definitely showing now, much to her dismay. She'd just gotten out of the nursery four moons ago, she wasn't looking forward to being trapped in there again.

She padded towards Holly, greeting him with an affectionate nuzzle. She stepped back, tilting her head "What is it Holls? Is something wrong?" she asked curiously.

'can you teach me, falls and our friends some combat moves' She blinked, oh stars combat? okay... she... could do this.. Yeah! absolutely! She smiled warmly before nodding "Of course dear" She said with a purr, padding towards the group of apprentices.

She cleared her throat before bowing her head in greeting before touching her nose to Fallenpaw's forehead "Hello sweetheart, I'm glad to see you making friends" she whispered out to Fallenpaw, barely audible. She stepped back looking towards the other two apprentices "Hello you two, you must be Emberpaw and Darkpaw if I heard Holls correctly? I'm Daywhisper" She said with a wide smile.

Fallenpaw's eyes lit up eagerly. Mama! She exclaimed, flicking her tail. Are we gonna do some training? She was excited to try and beat her brother again. She flexed her claws, her blue and green hetreochromic eyes bright.

Hollypaw bounced over toward his mother, a loud purr erupting from his throat as he sat with his sister and the other apprentices. Looking toward Daywhisper, tilting his head curiously.

Daywhisper tiredly smiled at Emberpaw "Okay, Hollypaw and Emberpaw, Pair up, Falls, you and I can partner up" She said with a smile and a purr. She noticed Holly's expression darken, but couldn't say anything in front of the others. She sighed softly, frowning.

Fallenpaw nodded excitedly. If she beat her mother, it would give her quite a surprise. Great! She squeaked happily, before frowning as she thought she saw her brother's expression flash sullen for a second. Mama, if you want, I can go with Emberpaw? She didn't want to embarrass anyone, and maybe she had made it worse by telling Hollypaw about Emberpaw liking him.

Hollypaw sighed softly, he didn't necessarily care if his mother went with Fallen, but he always felt like Falls was Day's favorite and this did nothing to prove otherwise. He narrowed his eyes at his sister's offer, he didn't want or need her pity over something that... admittedly shouldn't even be an issue.

[I]'Mama, if you want, i can go with Emberpaw' 'Wh-' he tilted his head as she paused, watching his mother closely 'of course not! Like I said falls, I'm fine, and anyway, who else would your brother practice with?' She said with a laugh. She couldn't even think of offering herself to teach him.

The mostly white tom rolled his eye, turning to look at Emberpaw " Oh- yeah. I guess we are" He said flashing a somewhat forced smile, though it wasn't obvious at least. He hadn't really considered the alternative to his mother or his sister. It was the cat who'd just confessed to him. He was now being forced to be one-on-one with her. He sucked a breath in through his teeth before nodding.

"Has your mentor taught you any combat before?" He asked, tilting his head curiously as he looked over Emberpaw.

Daywhisper blinked, taken aback by Fallen's sudden request "Wh-" She cut herself off furrowing her brows "Of course not! Like I said falls, I'm fine, and anyway, who else would your brother practice with? She said with a purr, nudging Fallen's cheek gently with her nose.

She didn't catch Holly's eye-roll and looked at him and Emberpaw interacting now "See? He's doing great they seem to be getting along well!" She said, still unaware of Ember's crush on Holly.

With that, she cleared her throat "Alright! Combat- Let's see...." She said humming softly [b]"It all begins with your crouch" She crouched as close to properly as she could. Her belly pressed against the ground earning a frustrated sigh. At least with combat, it didn't matter too much, not like they were practicing stealth.

"Once you're comfortable with your crouch, I want you to spring at your partner and try landing on their backs. Only rule is absolutely no claws, alright?" She asked, looking between the three apprentices.

Emberpaw nodded, paying close attention to Daywhisper. She practiced her crouch, which was surprisingly easy. then she sat up, confused. Do I pounce? Or Does Holly pounce? Or do we pounce at the same time...? @seeingstars @SagetheSnowman
