Heal the root so the tree is stable, part 2
It had been some time, and she could only imagine Larkfire having better adjusted to her position by now. Her meeting with Elmshadow – those moons ago – had been cut short and she would be lying if she said she didn’t still have questions. Concerns. She wanted to be able to help, in the event of a kit-related emergency. She hoped it would never be needed. That nothing would ever warrant such care. But if anything ever did happen to a child, and Larkfire or Mossfreckle weren’t readily available, she wanted to be able to do something. To help. To prevent a child from dying, keep them alive until a proper medicine cat can be called. That is what brought her here, to Larkfire’s den, silently standing by the entrance.
“L,,,Lark,,fire?”
She spoke softly, looking through the entrance for the younger feline. Should she appear, Nightshiver would get to the point.
“Ah,, I’m,,, sorry for,, the,, disturbance; but,, if,, you h-had,, time – I,, well. Could you,, teach m-me,,, some,, first-aid – for,, kits, specifically? I – I’m,, worried. If, anything,, ever,, ever happened, I,,, I want – need,, to be able,,, to,, to help. To,,,, keep them,,, alive,, until,,, y-you or,,, Mossfreckle,,, can,, come. I,, mean,,n-no,, offense; but,,, if,, if you,,, would be,, willing. Able,, I,,, would,,, appreciate it -- ,,, a lot.”
She offered a small smile after her brief explanation, hoping the healer would agree – wouldn’t be offended, much like Elmshadow.
