alrighty yall, its finally the time you’ve all been waiting for!
sparrowfur and yarrowcrest of thunderclan will be having kits!
this will be a themed litter and the theme is: bugs! roo and i have yet to decide on names other than the fact that they must be named after a bug! some examples include: butterflykit, cricketkit, beetlekit, mothkit, dragonflykit, antkit, beekit, so on and so forth…
as of right now there is no set number, but we would like at least 3!
general information:
♡ applications open today, 10/3/23, and will run until 10/24/23. the kits will be decided upon by 11/1/23. these applications will not be first come first serve, so no need to rush!
♡ here are the hypokit designs, done by the wonderful @/ciitrus–fruitz! these designs are not a necessity but if you like any of them, feel free to use them for your kit’s design! the names included will not be used as the litter is bug themed, and you may change the gender!
♡ the kits can be any gender or identity!
♡ one of the kits will die young, so if you are interested in this role please specify so in the your application!
if you would like to design the kit on your own, here are the physical descriptions of both the parents! please be sure that your kit resembles at least one of the parents in your design! Sparrowfur:
A dark brown tabby with green brown heterochromia and a cropped tail, with a very petite and bird-like frame. Yarrowcrest:
A white tom with orange spots. He has bright blue eyes and a lithe build. Average in stature, his fur is short and somewhat coarse.

Cricketkit, the most sensitive kitten of the bunch. He shares a more similar appearance to his mother when it comes to his build–small, petite and almost bird-like–and he also has the same cropped tail as her! His fur is a light brown with orange spots decorating his pelt, while his underbelly and paws are white. He has blue-yellow eyes. (Acornkit's design from the hypokits.. described it as best as I could hejdhsd)

Such a gentle young man. Cricketkit is a daydreamer, and you'll often find him lounging within the nursery beside his momma–it's difficult to get him to stray far from his family, especially his mother.
He's always got his head in the clouds, daydreaming and humming about the possibilities in life. He wants to become a big, strong warrior, just like his ma and pa! Some day, he wants to be deputy–but not a leader, because that's too scary.
Cricketkit is a sweetheart through and through, but sometimes he can be seen as a bit much. He's whiny and clingy–especially sensitive to his surroundings, too. He doesn't like to leave the nursery often, it's too cold out there, he says. The small fluffball doesn't have the energy to go out there, either. He'd much rather watch his siblings and the other kittens tousle with each other than get himself involved. Too much energy that he doesn't have–which is odd, for a kitten. The little guy has a heart that's too big for his body, even the smallest of playful jabs at him will have him sobbing for momma.
Upon first glance, you'd assume that he has anxiety, but it's something much more than that. When he struggles to breathe, it might seem like a panic attack, but no, it isn't due to anxiety–and that'll be made clear by the time he has his first, and last, seizure.
Everybody Dies.
And so does Cricketkit–the fading kitten.
Anyway, yeah, hopin' to get the dying baby lol. I don't really have a lot of time to rp as another cat rn, but I really want to be a part of this litter. I'd say he'd die around 2 moons old, specifically due to low blood sugar/hypoglycaemia.
I think it'd be interesting–if I do get this kitten, lol–if he visited his family in their dreams, frequently. I'd even get him the worldweaver purrk so he can leave stuff for his family to find raahhh I just love DEVASTATION!!!

Locust is a brown and orange torbie with yellow eyes like sunlit ice and slightly coarse fur. Often, she comes across os aloof or uninterested, but her mind is ready and she’s smarter than she lets on, using her more aloof nature to make others feel like they can trust her. Because of this, hop doesn’t make or keep friends easily, most finding the way hop will acquire information to be a breach of their trust. Hop doesn’t mean to be dishonest or betray trust, though, hop just isn’t very good at making friends the honest way, and will fall back into this habit again and again.

Because of her nature, many will find it odd to hear her more people pleasing tendencies. She tries very hard to be everything everyone expects of her - even if those expectations conflict with one another. She tried so hard not to disappoint anyone, that often she ends up disappointing everyone, and so she learns to hold others at an arm’s length. If she doesn’t let them close to her heart, then she can’t hurt them when she ultimately slips up and shows her ‘true self’ instead of the carefully crafted version of herself that she made to please them.

Plot Ideas
I’m thinking that if Locust is the one to die young, perhaps - because the kits will be born leafbare ish time - that maybe she gets kittencough or some other illness that refuses to get better. She just grows weaker and weaker by the day and there’s nothing that can be done about it until she passes during the night. Otherwise, for a maybe marginally more or less traumatic death (depending on how you look at it), hop could be picked up in the middle of camp by a hawk and taken away, never to be seen again. If hop doesn’t die, then I’d still like the hawk idea to happen, but someone gets to the hawk before it’s out of reach and rescues her, saving her life but leaving her with some nasty scars.
