Phoenix sat near her den. She breathed deep and sighed lightly. She loved the fresh smell of rain and the water droplets on her pelt. She purred lightly and closed her eyes. She had no idea her life was about to change.

Falcon
19 moons || he/him || small dark tabby tom with white paws and jade green eyes

He hated the rain. It pounded his back, it was cold, and it scared the prey away. He needed to hunt for his sister, but how could he do that when the prey wasn't out? The tom hissed quietly, cursing under his breath. Starling will have to hunt for herself soon enough. He thought bitterly. Falcon's twin sister, Starling, had always stayed home to guard the makeshift den the two lived in. Falcon trudged under the reaching branches of a tree, which shielded him from at least a bit of the rain. I'll wait it out, then I'll catch something for her.

* She shook herself dry a bit and then dropped low. She started to stalk through the undergrowth. She didn't notice another cat nearby. She spotted a mouse and went to pounce. *

Falcon

He had noticed the other cat a few minutes ago. The tom watched her hunt, flicking a few rain droplets from his tail tip. He didn't plan on talking to her, unless the she-cat approached him first. Falcon lowered his eyes to his paws, thinking about his sister. She must be getting worried.

* She pounced and lifted up. She placed the prey down and scrapped some dirt over it so she could retrieve it for later. She hunted some more until finally she felt she did enough. She picked up her catch and started to pad back to her den. She had spotted the other cat watching her and she "accidentally" some prey as she went back home. *

Falcon

He recoiled when the other cat dropped a piece of prey. He could tell it was no accident-- She had left it for him. Did she think he was weak? Couldn't hunt for himself? Well, Falcon would march right on after her and return the prey she dropped! He didn't need a stranger's help!! Falcon strutted toward the piece of prey, and picked it up. The tom raced after the she-cat, eyes filled with fury. It was shocking how one tiny little action could work Falcon up so much.

He spat out the prey, fur bristling. "I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP!" He hissed.
