Flame sat in her room trying to stop crying. Her parents were not being kind again, and calling her a boy, even though she was a girl. Her black hair was in a short boyish cut, she had a gaming shirt on, even though she hated video games, and sports shorts, which she hated. She wasn't even allowed to wear anything in her hair or on her face or head. Her room was full of sport things and there was a laptop on a desk, the way she hated it, and her bed was plain black, the way she liked it. Her window was locked shut. Flame kept crying into her hands, wanting to be free.
