The Joining is first-come first-serve as long as you are active. The current character limit is one per person. If all slots have been filled, then you will be put on a waitlist for when applications are open.
Recent events and happenings in the Clan
A startling prophecy has been delivered by the medicine cat, Volewhisker, which no one can make sense of, making the cats of WillowClan skittish and doubtful. [pre-roleplay]
A loner she-cat under the name of Willow had been trying desperately to find her niche. Her purpose. Her life, her family, her place in the world. Her destiny. When she was out hunting one day and wondered into the territory of a nervous and unsuspecting tomcat with a knack for herbs, her life changed. It was not long until the couple had fallen in love and Willow was expecting, however her pregnancy was plagued with visions. Visions, but not bad ones. Ones of a large amount of cats gathered at her paws, awaiting commands. Visions of her kits growing alongside and sparring with others their age. Visions of a large, close-knit, extended family of sorts. She shared with her nate her Visions, found couples and wanderers who agreed with their idea, and soon their little clearing needed an upgrade. By now, their kits were the perfect age to start training and there were no young kits among the group. While only a little over twenty cats had originally started the Clan, they still needed access to better food, water, and space. So, their journey to the promised land both Willow and her mate, Herring, could see in Visions.
Herring and Willow's group steadily but surely headed East to the forested land they were promised, and the group followed them faithfully. No cat ever questioned the authority Willow had over them. She was a determined, dedicated, and fearless she-cat who did everything in her control to help her family. She led the menagerie of cats on to their very own Promised Land. When they found this land, the quickly established a home base. A camp. A rock, deemed the Weeping Stone for the depiction of a Willow tree that the early settlers had etched into it, marked the place they would gather for events, celebrations, and announcements. After marking out a specific territory and establishing dens, their camp was securely guarded at all times. The first trip to the Vision Pool was made by Willow and Herring after they had both received Visions. There, they were met by starry ancestors of past groups like their own. They called themselves "Clancats" told Willow she needed to name her Clan after herself, gave her nine lives and vague instructions, and sent them home. The newly named Willowstar was required to relay this news to her Clanmates, give them each new names, and establish a ranking system. She had done all this obediently and felt quite proud of herself.
For many moons after the discovery of the Vision Pool, Willowstar continued her peaceful and warm reign. When it was time for her to join the ranks of the starry ancestors the Clan called Vision Givers, she appointed her most responsible and kind-hearted warrior the next leader. He became Sagestar and was known for his even head, wisdom, and often neutral outlook. The Era of Peace stretch for four more leader's reigns, in between them a new system was born for new leaders. Deputies were introduced. From Swanstar, Sagestar's successor, on, each leader was required to appoint a deputy before a week of moonhighs had passed. Each leader followed this and the tradition goes on and on to the present.
In the beginning of this Era, and the end of the last, cats began to fall ill during Blossomstar's reign. The leader, her Deputy, and her medicine cat had not seen illness like this before. Not even in the leafbare. But this leafbare had been particularly devastating, lasting two moons more than it should have and being four times as cold. As cats began dying from this strange mystery illness, Blossomstar acted upon it and held council with for of her Clan members. One from each rank with responsibilities. A queen, an apprentice, a warrior, and the oldest elder in the Clan. Each with varying level of wisdom, with different concerns, with different opinions, and yet it worked for them. And so, in the next moon, the Council was established. The code was revised. The cats in the Clan were still sick, and so the Council decided to send out patrols far away to find new herbs. Nothing helped, not until one day a young apprentice found a stream that ran into the Vision Pool. The idea was that the water had Healing abilities, and the Clan was too desperate to not lose any more Clanmates to question it. They soaked up as much spring water as they could, and used it to treat the sick along with honey and catmint. The miracle was, it worked. No longer would the Clan have to fret over their I'll getting more sick or dying, no longer did the have to be separate from each other in fear of catching the mysterious illness. They held a great celebration, praising and rewarding the apprentice, named Wrenpaw, for their good work. However, the sickness had killed over half of WillowClan's members, leaving them with a sad handful of cats less than the number of cats who had founded WillowClan all those moons ago.
Under the reign of the newly-named Daffodilstar, the Clan is starting to recoup from the devastating losses they suffered during The Ill Times. The Council has been appointed and the Deputy has been chosen, but what lurks in the shadows, ready to infiltrate WillowClan at the first signal?
Shadows tell truths, shadows tell lies. Shadows are blind, but shadows have eyes.
Cats are unsure what this strange prophecy their medicine cat has received means, but they are frightened nonetheless. After the I'll, many cats are devastated from losing family members and others are exhausted from being sick, the Clan is in no condition to fight a battle or act upon a prophecy.
Festival of Lifeearly new-leaf
A celebration of the young cats in the Clan the Festival of Life lasts about a week. During this week, kits and apprentices will participate in fun games, training events, and even feasts! Many cats enjoy this because it gives everyone a few days off most responsibilities.

WillowClan believes in StarClan, yes, but they call it by their very own name. The Vision-Givers. These ancestors when revealed to cats are often described as cats with star-covered pelts and pure white eyes, but it is believed to be a little exaggerated by most.
Apprentice Ceremony
The leader will call a Clan meeting as normal and call forward the required kits.
Leader: "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice(s). Do you promise to learn our code and Traditions to learn learn the way of a true WillowClan warrior?"
Kit(s): "I do"
Leader: "Then, (kit name), you will be trained by (mentor name). I am sure they will pass all they know unto you to continue our traditions and provide for our Clan."
Repeat for as many apprentice there are. The new apprentices will find their mentors and touch noses and are expected to tour the territory immediately after the meeting.
Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony
Leader will call meeting as normal, but medicine cat will take over after the Clan has gathered.
Medicine Cat: "I have chosen my apprentice. This (kit) shows promise to me in their (wisdom/intelligence/focus/other trait) and will take my place as the next medicine cat/will work beside me as medicine cat. (Cat's name), do you agree to serve your Clan as a healer and Vision Receiver? To interpret dreams, signs, and Omens and to heal your Clanmates?"
Candidate: "I do."
Medicine Cat: "Then join me on my journey to the Vision Pool. We will consult the Ancestors tonight."
The Medicine Cat will present the new apprentice to the Pool, as if their ancestors were there physically.
Medicine Cat: "I present this apprentice to my Ancestors for their support and approval so that my Clan may thrive."
The two will dip their heads to the Pool.
Medicine Cat: "Drink of the Pool and recieve your first Vision."
The apprentice will drink and the two will share tongues with their ancestors, if the apprentice is accepted.
Warrior Ceremomy
Leader will call meeting as normal, then call forward the apprentice(s) ready for their ceremomy(ies)
Leader: "(apprentice). You have trained hard to become a warrior of your Clan. You have expressed (three traits), and I hope you can make our Ancestors proud. (Mentor) has trained you well, and I welcome you as a full member of the Clan under your new name, (warrior name)."
Repeat as many times as needed for apprentices, Clan should cheer the names three times a piece to replace their old apprentice names.
Medicine Cat Ceremony
Done at the Vision Pool
Medicine Cat: "(name), I have determined that you are prepared to become a full medicine cat of your Clan. I say these words before my Ancestors so they may hear and be made aware.of my decision. (Name) of WillowClan, I hereby hail you by your new name, (new medicine cat name). Now drink, and See."
The two drink and share tongues as normal
Deputy Ceremony
Leader will call meeting ss normal, but at night
Leader: "I have made my choice in deputy. My choice is (warriors name). Do you accept the role of our Clan's deputy?"
Candidate: "I do."
Leader: "Then, I say these words so the stars may hear and approve of my choice, (name) is hereby WillowClan's deputy."
Clan should chant deputy's name, similar to a warrior ceremony.
Leader Ceremony
Held at the Vision Pool in the Ancestors' Plane.
Former Leader: "(Name), you have been an amazing deputy and will make an even more astounding Leader. Please, allow us to grant you your lives."
Life-giver: "I give you the life of (quality), may you use it to (use). I wish you luck."
Repeat nine times
Former Leader: "(Name) no longer suits you, dear friend. Let me be the first to hail you by your new name, (prefix)star."
Life-givers: "(prefix)star, (prefix)star, (prefix)star!"
Former Leader: "Return to your Clan with pride and tell them my final goodbyes."
The Vision Pool is a clear, still pool hidden away in brush and shrubs in the forest. The clearing is big enough to fit multiple cats, but only a necessary amount. It was found many moons ago by the very first settlers of WillowClan, Willowstar herself and her mate, Herringfin
Miracle Spring is where the wonder apprentice Wrenpaw found the cure to the Illness. A newly incorporated piece of territory, it is often used for a new way to keep herbs- growing them. The medicine cat began doing this after the cure was found in hopes it would make their herbs more potent. They will have to wait until the plants are fully grown to know though, so they still work with normal herbs.
The Old Maple is by far the oldest piece of territory WillowClan has. When Willowstar brought the Originals to the territory, the camp and the Old Maple (then just Large Maple) where the only two spots they had to thrive in until the Vision Pool. The Old Maple comes with a surrounding area that reaches to the edge of The Refuge, which is almost half the territory!
Swanstar's Lake is a small lake that was claimed during the reign of the resilient and fierce leader it is named for. Under her reign, WillowClan grew to be a powerful group. Loners and rogues were frightened of their territory and steered clear of any WillowClan scent markers. This lake is a symbol of the adaptability and honor that WillowClan is known for.
This lake is begrudgingly shared with LakeClan, their neighbors. They often bicker over it and refuse to acknowledge it is far too big for one Clan to hoarde. Both Clans mark their borders further each time, the border constantly changing. And if two patrols pass each other while marking, it may as well be a battle. Since no definite border is marked and it changes by multiple feet, no one is absolutely sure if they are in the other's territory.
The Refuge was an old back-up camp in the days of the paranoid Quailstar. The little Tom had always thought Swanstar's bold actions would make more enemies than allies, and was frightened enemies would hunt all of WillowClan to extinction after she passed, but The Refuge was never needed until the Clan had to mass quarantine in the Ill Times.
Found in a small and somewhat sandy gorge, WillowClan's camp is very simple. The elders sleep in a den that is grasses covered by a fallen log to protect them from wind and sun, but not rain. The nursery is an old badger set from long ago, and the Warriors sleep in a small clump of brush near the nursery. Apprentices have a den made of brambles and other thorny vines near the elders' den. The medicine den is located toward the front of camp, right beside the entrance. It is a natural cave that is hollowed out into the gorge with limestone walls. There are shelves for herbs and a few nests here and there, it is second largest only to the nursery. The leader's den is in the roots of an old and creaky Sycamore that decided to put down roots in the camp. It broke in half long ago, before Willowstar's time, but the roots are sturdy, safe, and located just behind the Weeping Stone. The Weeping Stone itself is near the back of camp and sports a carved depiction of a Willow tree on the front, now cover by moss and Lichen that is cleaned every so often.

The requirements for an apprentice to become a warrior. If you wish your apprentice to become a warrior, make sure they comply with the following.
Must be twelve moons old, no exceptions
Must have existed [B]longer[B] than a month IRL
Must have fifty roleplay posts
These can NOT be from their kithood
Must have actively attended one meeting
Outside of their ceremony.
This means posting when arriving, reacting, and leaving (at least THREE posts)
Must have completed six instances of training. This must include the following.
Land Hunting
Battle Training
Climbing Lesson
Swimming Lesson
May also include any of the following, plus any refresher courses on the above.
Fishing
Patrols
Battles
Scheduled Spar (w/ another apprentice)
Events that have specified to be a life experience
Must not have been recently punished by a high rank
Medicine Cats will determine when their apprentice is ready to become a full medicine cat
The requirements for a cat to become a queen. If you wish your cat to be a queen, make sure they comply with the following.
Must be fourteen moons or older
Must have a confirmed check-up with a medicine cat or experienced queen
Must talk to Daffodilstar in character
Daffodilstar will allow two perma-queens. There are currently no cats to fill these spots.
Must be over eighty-five moons or have a confirmed condition which makes them unable to serve their Clan anymore
Must talk to Daffodilstar IC
Daffodilstar will not take Punishments likely. Here are some common rules that are broken and how Daffodilstar deals with them.
Kit sneaking out of camp
A light reminder for first offenders, for Repeat offenders they will be confined to the nursery
Apprentice hunting alone
A light reminder for first offenders. Repeat offenders are required to stay in camp for their training sessions for a IC moon.
Warrior or apprentice eating before hunting
For apprentices, a light reminder. For warriors, they must eat last, even after their fellow warriors, for a IC moon.
Cats not reporting for patrols
Light reminders for apprentices (unless repeated a third time) and extra patrols for a warrior (and third-time apprentices)
Here are some uncommon ruleb breaks and their punishments.
Neglecting kits
Immediate exile. Daffodilstar does not take kindly to abusers.
Cross-Clan/Forbidden Relationships and/or kits
A light reminder that they must still take care of their duties. Daffodilstar understands love shows up in strange places. In the case of a medicine cat, she will check to make sure that there is no bias over the rest of the Clan in favor of the mate/kits
Murder
Immediate exile. Daffodilstar will also issue immediate orders to kill the cat on sight if they try anything while being escorted out or if thy return to the territory.
Deaths are announced in meetings specifically for the vigil. Here are the requirements on death announcements, otherwise your cat will only be considered missing.
Must have three roleplay posts before, during, and after being killed/dying (INCLUDE LINKS)
To announce a birth all I ask is that the kits have two posts each and there is a naming post with the queen naming the kits. LINK THE POSTS AND GIVE MENTIONS FOR THE KITS
For an addition to the main plot, a few criteria must be met.
Don't make it all about one character
Make it interactive for the whole Clan
Make sure it fits previous plot points
To run an event, please make sure the following criteria are met.
A cat is established to run the event
A main training/theme/game/celebration is included in the event
You have a name for the event
