(This is for anyone else who thinks that Hemoine Granger should have been the main character instead of Harry Potter. Of course this is not an actual parallel and may not be completely accurate, but I'll try.)
Hermoine sat on her bed, reading a red-and-pink birthday card from her aunt, which she had promised to reply to, although she was paying more attention to a different letter, which she had long since memorized--A pale one written on parchment in green ink. She set down the birthday card and re-read it. Of course her parents had been delighted, but a search of every book she could lay her fingers on turned up no Hogwarts, outside of the occasional historical incident with a pig that had warts, which was what the school librarian gave her when she asked about it. The girl brushed her bushy hair out of her face. "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and not a book on it!"
