the far outskirts {OPEN}

this thread is in a place far far far far far far away from the clans. across and ocean, in fact. this is for cats who want nothing to do with the clans and no mention of them. of course, i don't really expect much to happen here, not gonna lie. also, this place is actually a very different place. it is a vast jungle, where the trees stretch far, far above.
anyways, roleplay.
holly padded through the jungle, careful to avoid crocodile holes. she reached the thick trunk of a jungle tree and leaped up to the nearest branch. she continued to do this for a long while and then stopped to take a breath, resting on one of the thick branches.

holly looked up and meowed "hello there. what's your name?" she wasn't really worried about hostile cats. she could easily fight them if they even were hostile, which they usually weren't. she continued to hop branches. @Dawneye

The tree-colored Tom smiled at the she cat, impressed by how she hopped on the branches “my name is bark, I’ve seen you around here before. Although you’ve never seemed to notice me.” He mewed, his tail flicking curiously @riverripple

holly stared at the tom and finally noticed him. she chuckled and meowed "that's probably because you like you're a tree!" she hopped the last branch and stopped beside him.

Bark chuckled at the she cat, “well they don’t call me bark for nothing. What’s your name?” He asked, subtly sniffing the she-cat to take in her scent. He seemed surprisingly calm for having a possibly hostile cat next to him on a tree “prey running well for you?” He asked, looking her over subtly @riverripple

holly smirked and meowed "my name is holly. prey is running wonderfully. me and a bunch of other cats banded together to defeat a crocodile a half moon ago." he ears perked and she hissed "squirrel!" before launching herself at the branch the squirrel was on. she ran after it as it shot away in fear. @Dawneye

Bark smiled and followed quickly after the she-cat. Almost immediately over taking her and catching the squirrel. He dropped it at her paws “crocodile is a bit tough for my tastes, but their eggs are good.” He mewed, before putting his head up “hide now.” He smelled those awful Twolegs, they had been trying to catch him for a while since he had eaten a couple of their food reserves. He quickly climbed up the nearest tree, hoping Holly would follow @riverripple

holly followed after him and hopped onto the nearest branch, doing her branch hopping move frantically. she was afraid of twolegs too, and she didn't want to know what they would do to her if they caught her. she raced up the tree and hid in some thick leaves, hoping the twolegs couldn't climb. @Dawneye (more far outskirts characters entering soon!)

Bark sat there perfectly still, blending in amazingly with the bark of the tree, invisible to anyone who didn’t know he was there. He looked up at holly, hoping she was safe (yay!) @riverripple
