Wretchedness .Open.

Curling in a ball could not save her from the looming threat of unhappiness. It was like a cage, enclosing her in its darkness. The claustrophobic feeling made her sick. Her eyes clenched shut and she groaned, tail lashing beside her. She had to escape. Though, once she rose to her paws, tendrils of darkness lunged toward her, dragging her toward the cage of which was awaiting her arrival. She fought to free herself to no avail. With a screech, Saturn was swallowed by the darkness.
That was when she woke up.
She stumbled out of her den, chest heaving as she tried to gain her balance. Her flesh was too tight, her paws too large. She couldn't get enough oxygen. Every beat of her heart radiated throughout her body as though it were trying to break free. What was happening to her? Why was she like this?
Then it all stopped. Saturn simply stood alone in a forest, her fur waving in a calm breeze. The sun streamed through the trees and left a golden tint over her tabby pelt, but she couldn't bear the brightness of it. It hurt her eyes, and she hissed, ducking back into her den. She had been living there for only a moon, but it felt like she had been there for forever. It was her home. The only place she could be after escaping that hell of living as a house cat.
Sighing, Saturn sat down and began to groom herself, trying to calm down from her sudden panic. She locked the thoughts in the back of her mind and forced a calm expression onto her face. Hoping something new happened today, she frowned and looked around at the quiet clearing. And even as the serenity of the area brought a sense of safety to her, Saturn couldn't help but to think:
What was wrong with her?

A black tom with yellow stripes and sandy-yellow sections of fur. His golden eyes sparkled in the sunlight. His muscles were sleek and rippling with the signs of being well-fed. The sun glistened on his fur as he trekked across the open field. The tom sighed, he was lonely and bored from being alone for so many moons.
