Aw man! What kind of sore ass losers does ShadowClan have? Clearly no one was competent enough to keep the Clan from starving in the middle of the hottest season of all seasons! And Lostspark was staring at the prey pile like the sad elder-looking cat she was! Had everyone lost their damn minds? If Lightningkit could hunt, she'd be requesting a couple of warriors to go with her to bring back some food for the idiots that ShadowClan seemed to be full of.
Hey... that gives me an idea! With a huff and a puff, Lightningkit stalked over to Lostspark and gave her a very disappointed look.
"Staring at the prey pile isn't giving us food, y'know... it's a shame all the warriors of the Clan is letting this happen! And I can't do nothin' about it! But you know what I can do?" She only gave half a second for the older she-cat to respond before answering her own question.
"Practice my huntin'! And I'd like one of the elite members of the Clan to teach me! Papa's probably busy with... Enforcer things, and mama is busy being a mama! So... you're the next best thing! Teach me."
The little kit didn't hesitate to plop her fluffy butt down on the grass and kneaded her paws, waiting as patient as she could for the oldie to begin teaching her the basics. She didn't have to go too into detail, but just enough so that Lightningkit could put in the work to become a good hunter and impress herself when she first catches something. She could care less about impressing her future mentor.
