The walk from the camp to the border was often a trip itself. The walk from camp to the border with dead weight was a journey. Still, they managed, even though the patrol leader's jaw ached when they reached Sedgewater Valley. He dropped his body on the ground as they stopped at the border, and he took a moment to stretch.

He'd had RiverClan stench stuck in his nose the entire walk, and it only worsened now that they had reached the border. He was going to need a thorough grooming after this. Leechscar wasn't interested in waiting around for a fish patrol to show up. "Let's dump them here and head back." He told Hawkfur and Swiftfire.

Grabbing the dead warrior by the scruff, he gave a mighty heavy and tossed the dead weight over the borderline. The dead RiverClan warrior landed in a heap on the other side. Tossing them seemed better than dragging them over, on the off-chance they were caught, he wasn't giving RiverClan a chance to call them out for breaching the border. He gave his chest fur a few vigorous licks while waiting for the other two to do the same.

Bravebird - WindClan Warrior

Since the moment the sun had peeked above the horizon, Bravebird had been out of camp. She had wanted to do some hunting, and get back into a routine of her laps around the territory. They were smaller now to avoid the mink-heavy spots that Twilightstar had restricted WindClan from - and from the distance she had seen a couple scurryig about but had stayed far away. Now she was just heading towards Sedgewater Valley on the mission of making sure the RiverClan fish were staying on their side of the border.

...So when she caught sight of Leechscar, Hawkfur, and Swiftfire carrying three dead cats with them, her paws sprinted towards the border. Concern rounded her gaze until she realized that none of her Clanmates were hurt and that the three dead were RiverClan. "What happened??" she gasped, eyes following the trajectory of the first body being tossed over to the other side of the border. The lack of injuries suggested no fight had occurred at the border... so what had happened?

The weight of this body was getting heavier by the second. Swiftfire was panting and dragging the body to the border by the time they reached it. She wasn't exactly built for strength; Her long limbs and lean body was meant for speed, and that was her strength. Manual labor dragging a body heavier than a rabbit? Thankfully this wasn't a common practice.

Her ear flicked up as Leechscar spoke, and she flicked her tail to acknowledge his words, gripping her teeth tighter into the freezing scruff shortly before hauling it the last few lengths to the border. She released the body as Bravebird raced up to them, worried and concerned, and Swiftfire was the one to reply.

"These three somehow found themselves thinking they were welcome in our camp. Twilightstar changed their minds." It was a dry, sarcastic explanation, but an explanation nonetheless.

StarClan. StarClan. Redmire really needed a frustration outlet. Fighting things whenever she was upset - which was often these days, given RiverClan's state - clearly was not working. She needed something calming, like bird-watching or napping or peaceful walks.

She was trying the third thing. But maybe doing that around Clan borders wasn't exactly a good idea.

WindClan scent washed over her as she approached the markers, much stronger than normal. Someone was close by, and Redmire's claws flexed into the dirt as she whipped around to follow it.

There it was: some idiot WindClanner standing with their paws nearly at the scent-line. She felt her fur spike as she bolted so close that her toes were touching the line.

"Hey!" she shouted. "You're too close to the border! Back off!"

Hazehunter had managed to escape the helm that was the crowded Windclan camp, the warrior had made a trip to the border as a small get away.

Had he missed a meeting sure, but eh? Didn’t really matter all that much to him. The grey speckled toms paws gripping to the ground as he heard a call towards his direction. He coughs as his head twists towards the cat. Uhhhh who the hell was this??

Blank mind. Not a thought behind his eyes as he stared mouth agape. WOAH stay over the line lady?! Yeah, maybe he was super close to the scent line but hey! Hazehunter’s hackles raise, claws escaping as the gears started turning. Yeah, he could totally win this, just a simple taunt would surly force her over the edge. He giggles, “What was that fish face? Couldn’t hear you over the bubbling from your fishy ass mouth”

A snort leaves his body as Hazehunter lowers himself a bit, prepared for the attack. Was he being cocky? Absolutely.

Oh. OH! He wanted a fight, did he? Redmire bared her teeth, stepping a few paws over the border without even thinking about it.

"Shut up!" she spat. "Your rabbit-munching, ugly face isn't doing you any favors! If you don't back off, I'm coming over there!"

Hawkfur made the walk in silence with his patrol mates, shoulders and back aching from holding the dead weight for so long. Once at the border, Hawkfur made a huff of relief and dropped the body unceremoniously. He was certain he would see a lot more bodies before the ramifications of these morons in front of him were finished. He hoped they were happy, wherever in the sky they were.

He took a moment to catch his breath before throwing the body over the border, but just as the other two were tossing their bodies, a familiar scent washed over him. Hawkfur glanced up in surprise as Bravebird rapidly approached, looking worried and confused. He grimaced, knowing that his friend was going to throw herself at the border the moment she knew what happened. Swiftfire's eloquent description of what happened only made Hawkfur sigh. He picked up his body and tossed it over. "Twilightstar took care of it. We're just her to deposit the bodies." He meowed tiredly, rolling his shoulders to ease some of the tension in them.

After locating a few mushrooms near the bottoms of trees, she plucked the dirt-tasting herbs from the ground and dropped them on top of the moss. Dustbunny bundled the three mushrooms in the clumps of herbs, she was hoping that would be enough to appease Lightningstorm. Grabbing them she began padding back to camp to give her report.

Hazy was the only way to describe the way he was feeling. All of the deaths, disappearances, lack of prey, sickness... it had taken its toll. Once pristine gray fur was kept neatly groom was now matted and it was easy to sea Fallownose's ribs with how his pelt clung to his wiry frame. His eyes seemed duller, more vacant.

Fallownose had taken to wandering out of camp, sometimes out of the need to be alone and sometimes for no reason at all. He never had a particular destination in mind, and nor was this venture any different. Somewhere deep inside he knew WindClan deserved better, deserved more. That he was letting Twilightstar down. But he couldn't bring himself to care, and that would have scared him if he could feel. Because lately he felt nothing.

With everything that had been happening lately, and all of the threats pushing at her beloved home from all angles, Dusklion found herself wandering. She had to get out of camp and away from her brother. Not because she was angry with him anymore - stars that had disappeared the second she feared she would lose him - but because her heart couldn’t talk watching his near-dead state anymore. It clawed at her heart, and in turn made her want to claw something - anything.

So what luck she must have when her paws brought her to the WindClan border and padding a little too close for comfort to it was none other than the WindClan deputy. Dusk gave a snort and veered to meet him, staying on her side. ”You look like hell,” came the sharp retort, followed by a signature smirk. ”Looks like the mighty have fallen far - hope you’re not lookin’ to join; you guys might enjoy openin’ your camp to other Clans’ high ranks, but we don’t take in bunnies.”
