This thread will function as the placeholder thread for Riverclans currently vacant and thread locked territory. Any Windclan cats who wish to poke around the place while Riverclan is gone on patrols or otherwise can do so here.

It had been some time since the battle that was the only guess she could take as she looked around with her hazy eye. She couldn't spot anyone within her sight, not a living thing was around her. There also wasn't a sound of others screaming out their cries or any bouts of rage they had for that slaughter event. She didn't even hear any paw steps, did they all escape somewhere and they left her behind? Springburst knew they had plans to evacuate to that two-leg place, but she had no idea where that new location was. Her trying to find them on her own was a lost cause, she was better off just staying around here and playing as a loner again and hoping to starclan that they returned. She felt a sharp pain in her head for a moment, bringing a black paw up to press against that annoying bleeding wound on her head. It was getting on her nerves, not only was it stopping her from being quick on her feet but it wouldn't stop bleeding.

She had snagged some spare cobwebs she managed to find in little crevices she went by but nope she could still feel the blood matting her fur. Springburst didn't even spare a look at her right shoulder and arm, there was no fixing that for now. There was no way she'd find enough cobwebs to cover that injury, all she did was just drag that leg as she moved further away from where 'camp' was. Someone would probably follow the trail she left behind but she wasn't going to make it easy for those genocidal freaks to come looking to maybe finish the job. The warrior didn't care if she was in bad shape to try and put up a fight, unsteady on her feet, and only one good front leg left to use to claw some cat with. She would put up at least a decent attempt to get herself somewhere safe that she could hide out and bid her time. The torbie didn't care where she managed to end up in, all she wanted and needed was to heal and just see another sunrise tomorrow.

Wolffang hated everything about this place. The mud that squelched beneath his paws and seeped between his toes. The waterlogged scent that filled everything. The rushing of the river. The river itself, with its churning waters and strong currents. And, of course, the fishy reek of RiverClan. It was growing fainter, but it never failed to raise the fur along his spine and prompt his lip into a curl. His claws dug into the muddy earth and ripped out a clump of sickly green grass.

"Remember," he meowed, looking over his broad shoulder at the rest of his patrol, "if you see a RiverClan cat, we have to give them a chance to talk first, see if they want to join." It felt like he had to force the words out around a lump of crow-food. Wolffang wanted to rip apart any fish he saw, but he was a loyal warrior, and warriors followed orders. "If not, we drive them off so they can find wherever the rest of their vile Clanmates are camping. Don't kill unless absolutely necessary - as in, there are claws at your throat and no other way out."

Wolffang secretly hoped that he got in that situation because the idea of talking civilly to a RiverClan cat made his throat tighten with rage. More grass lost its home as he tore it out. Mud coated up to his ankles. With an angry lash of his tail, he continued, keeping his ear pricked and his mouth partially open to see if any fresh RiverClan scents crossed his path.

the mud, he doesn't mind. he is already muddy, so he is only getting soggy again. he slunk along after the larger warrior with his belly fur brushing the boggy ground.

his big ears were laid back against his skull; they twitched at the other warrior's spoken words: a jumble of confusing birdsong he didn't understand.

he disliked the rushing river. he also didn't understand why they were passing over the old border - the scent was fading. it felt - wrong, wrong, wrong.

occasionally, like a shadow fiend, he slipped away and disappeared, but returned on the heels of any given patrol member. he sniffed at the ground, snuffling loudly.

his eyes were peeled for proof his paranoia was reality, rational.

WindClan warrior

Ooh, it was time to see the results of WindClan’s victory! Sunburst pranced along excitedly towards the RiverClan border, this would be the first time he could go there without those dirty, disgusting fishies being there. Wolffang's instructions not to kill any remaining RiverClan cats kinda disappointed him, he hadn’t the chance to kill any RiverClan cats during the battle, he just got attacked by another WindClan cat who was a total mouse brain. He did fight in the battle…just not against the enemy. Although he hated those dirty fish at a distance, having them infiltrate WindClan and having to show respect to them? Well, Sunburst just wasn’t sure he could manage that. Sunburst tended to be…selectively allergic to anyone he didn’t like. Right now he obsessively hated RiverClan, that would pass as soon as he found someone else to dislike, then all would be forgiven with RiverClan and whatever other unfortunate clan would instead be the thing he strived to destroy.

"Hopefully they have all ran away, I can’t stand the thought of having to treat a RiverClan cat with respect…" He said, feeling sick at the thought of it. "Ooh! Look at that little bug!" Quickly distracted by some flying insect, Sunburst lost track of what he was saying a moment ago about RiverClan. "Wow, I’ve never seen one like that before, that’s pretty cool…anyway, where was I? Oh right, RiverClan…"

Stormflurry

Left behind.

On accident, she was sure, but still left behind. Stormflurrys clear gaze was foggy with pain as she crouched under a bush, every movement causing her to choke on pain. Her injuries had been more severe than she had realized, and she hasn't been able to keep up with the group, and in the chaos, she had fallen too far behind.

And now she was going to die here. Trembling paws planted in front of her as she looked around wildly for predators, eyes rounded but growing a bit cloudier each minute. She really would like to not die, but with no idea where her Clan was and a strong fear of the other three Clans, she felt panic rising.

Even more so when she started hearing voices and smelling WindClan through the haze she was in. No. No. This couldn't be happening.

She didn't want to die, it wasn't time yet. She hoped the mud from the rain was enough to hide her scent, but the infected wounds she had marring her flesh were a dead giveaway, and she knew it was only a matter of time.

Wolffang couldn't help but wish he'd been given some other cats as patrol members for this vital task. Batshriek was as paranoid as always, his eyes constantly looking like they were about to pop out of his skull, and he hardly seemed to hear a word Wolffang said. Sunburst, on the other paw, didn't seem to be taking this seriously enough, hopping up and down like a kit out of the nursery. He sighed inwardly. He'd dealt with plenty of hare-brains before. This was no exception. But why, for the love of StarClan, couldn't his Clanmates be more competent? More like Crowtooth and Batglare and even the dreaded Leechscar?

However, he quickly warmed to Sunburst once he realized the striped golden-brown warrior had actually been paying attention - and that he shared his qualms about having to be kind toward RiverClan. Wolffang dipped his head - but that seemed to be missed as Sunburst began to chase after a bug.

He gritted his teeth. "Sunburst, stay focused," he ordered. "We may have driven them out, but we don't know who or what could be-"

Almost on cue, two distinct RiverClan scents crossed his nose. Wolffang paused, pelt spiking, raising his tail for stillness. His hackles rose, and his claws dug into the disgustingly wet earth. "Quiet! Follow me!" he hissed. "And, as much as I hate to say it, do not attack unless absolutely necessary."

Oh, how he wished to tear into their pelts and watch their lifeblood soak their foul, wretched lands as repentance for Fallownose and Fernrise. But he was a good warrior, and good warriors followed orders.

A scent quickly followed on the heels of RiverClan: blood and a sweet stench he knew represented infection. Whoever was here was injured. Ending their life could be a mercy, unless Twilightstar wanted to take them in for assistance. Wolffang growled softly at the idea of a RiverClan cat leeching their resources.

He stepped forward and found a gray-and-white tortie huddled on the ground, shaking and bleeding, not much of a threat. And there was another - a strange-looking tom who was spotted like a leopard on one side and striped like a tabby on the other. He was limping heavily.

"You two!" Wolffang yowled, squaring his broad shoulders. "Stop right there." Well, the tortie wasn't moving, but he was mostly talking to the tom. "Aren't you two aware that you're not supposed to be here anymore?" He snarled low in his throat. "As much as I'd love to shred you both, I will follow orders. I can drag you out of the territory so you can find your wretched Clan... or..." Ugh, he did not want to say this. "...or you can leave your wretched Clan and speak to Twilightstar about joining."

whenever Wolffang admonished Sunburst, he'd pause and look between the two with confusion and guilt - assuming he'd done wrong - but the expression would dissipate once he realized neither was speaking at him.

he pricked his ears up at the leader's hissing alert. he treaded carefully after him, jaws parting to take in the scent of two stranger cats and ... blood.

bad, very bad, he thought in alarm. he peeked over Wolffang's shoulder at the two cats, gaze flitting to their injuries before settling to stare at their maws, studying them. drawn to the bush the tortie hid under, he branched out to the left. his steps were small, careful, and inching closer, though he halted a few fox-lengths away. he squinted his eyes and tried to peer at the cat in there.

his right ear twitched intermittently, listening to the drone of Wolffang's monologue. nervously, he glanced around at the patrol, gauging the reactions of his clanmates to reference how freaked out he should be right now. if this was a problem - he dug his claws into the mud, shifting his paws with a squelch.
