Larkswoop’s had been lying in the warriors’ den whenever she felt spasms in her belly. Wait, the kits shouldn’t coming for another quarter moon..

Ripples passed through the she-cat’s body, Larkswoop’s forest-green hues glazing with pain. She poked her littermates in the flank each with a paw. “Breezepool, Willowfrost, wake up,” She whispered, voice laced with agony. “The kits are coming.”

Cold. it was so cold out here he already hated it all he couldn't see and could hardly move only on some weird soft stuff hawkkit let out a loud angry meow he was hungry now and cold hawkkit let out another meow.

Oh glory be.

FREEDOM. Sweet, beautiful freedom.

Freedom warranted celebration.

And celebrate Owlkit did.

Screaming. Immediate, triumphant screaming, loud and shrill enough to burst the eardrums of any cat unfortunate enough to share the nursery at the time as little Owlkit wailed her freedom to the skies. It was cold, but she was OUT!! And now all of ThunderClan - nay, the entire FOREST - would be subjected to her reign of terror and torment.

…she’s probably going to keep screaming until somebody shuts her up. Or she chokes herself to death on air. Whichever happens to come first.

Light. And cold. What the hell. She could hear nothing. She saw nothing but darkness. Little did she know she was screeching and squirming and flailing wildly. The only thing she could sense was a scent that called her. The tiny body flailed like a beached fish, trying to squirm her way towards the scent. Somehow, she knew it meant warmth, food, and safety. A raspy thing escaped her throat - a purr? - when she finally found the furry body the scent belonged to. Instinctively trying to suckle.

Now who could this be? It was the perfect condition to be born in. Absolutely perfect. Cold, bright, and with an unfamiliar creature screaming besides her. Oh, it wasn't just one unfamiliar creature. It was multiple. This one in particular just so happened to be the loudest. Well, that wouldn't do.
The tortoiseshell kit let out a agitated screech, determined to overpower her littermate's deafening yells. It will be her that would rise as the victor in this... Screaming battle. As a bonus, Starlingkit thrashed about, as much as she could in her fragile little body.

Screaming. There was screaming from all four kits below her. The oldest she-kit, however, was the loudest. With a soothing purr rumbling in her throat, Larkswoop bent her head and began to wash all four kits - one at a time - with strong, rhythmic laps of her tongue. She gently nosed them closer to her belly, her forest-green hues soft with love and adoration.

Larkswoop blinked at the tom. A dark brown and cream tabby. ´´I´ll call you....Hawkkit,´´ Larkswoop murmured, gently touching her nose to his tiny ears. She then turned to the next kit, a brown and off-white tabby. ´´You´ll be Owlkit,´´ The new mother whispered, giving Owlkit an affectionate lick between her ears.

A familiar pelt caught her eye - dilute tortoiseshell. Larkswoop´s gaze flicked over to the thirdborn kit, a she-kit. She gave her daughter a loving look. ´´You look just like your father, so you will be called Thrushkit. And you,´´ Larkswoop´s head turned in the direction of the dark tortoiseshell. ´´You will be Starlingkit.´´

Larkswoop touched her muzzle to each kit´s soft fur to stop them from squirming. ´´You´re alright, loves. It´s okay.´´

Wolfpaw groaned, and after a bit realized that it wasn't going away. The tripod groggily got up and went into the clearing, trying to figure out where the noise came from. And it was from... The warriors den? Confused, the brown tom hobbled over. Oh. Kits.

Wait.

KITS???

Wolfpaw ignored the fact that the queen - larkswoop of all cats - decided to give birth in the warriors den and instead focused on the four bundles of fur at her stomach. He let out a soft purr, limping closer. He let out a sigh, gently stroking each kit to make sure that they were okay. Once the medic confirmed that, he looked up and glared at the queen. "Couldn't you move to the nursery before having them?" he snarled. "From the looks of it, they're okay. They are early so dunno how that would impact them. For now, get off your ass and move your spawn into the nursery," he hissed. He waited for the queens response first. To be honest, he didn't care what she said, he just gave her a chance anyway. But, he still made his way over to pick up one of the kits - Hawkkit - and waited for her to speak. He didn't want to separate the kit from his mother for too long, after all.

A growl was rolling in Larkswoop´s throat as soon as Wolfpaw made his way into the den.

Couldn´t you move to the nursery before having them?

´´I didn´t expect to have them early,´´ The new mother hissed in response. Then Wolfpaw was picking up her son.

´´Put. Him. Down. Right. This. Instant.´´ Larkswoop spat each word out like venom, green hues hardening with fury. She was pissed that Wolfpaw had grabbed Hawkkit. She wrapped her tail around her daughters, not knowing what she would do if Wolfpaw didn´t put Hawkkit down. Getting to her paws, Larkswoop grabbed Owlkit gently by the scruff and placed her between her shoulder blades. She did the same with Thrushkit before carrying Starlingkit between her jaws.

Thrushkit didn't know it, but she let out a shrill shriek of terror when she felt her whole world simply pluck away from her. When she felt the soft fur beneath her claws, her teeny-tiny kitten claws tried their best to grab on for dear life, mewling pitifully. She had been enjoying the rumbling feeling of her mother's purrs and soothing licks. What fresh hell was this?? She was making her unease and displeasure quite plain with her complaints.
