Hi all! Due to some changes in-RP, Fading and Wisteria are no longer firmly set to be mates. While she’s still a potential candidate down the line, I wanted to open up this finder to see if there are any other potential matches for him out there!

Fading is straight, so he’s only interested in mollies! He’s a pretty troubled cat, constantly haunted by a darkness within him that he fears he can’t control. He often feels alone and isolated, particularly recently. He will do best with a cat who’s able to show him kindness and patience, and who has a calm and even-tempered personality.

Fading can be impulsive, emotional, and intense. He always strives to do what’s right, but as they say the path to hell is paved with good intentions. He’s an inexperienced leader so he often makes mistakes; a mate who is able to help guide him through these issues and provide a listening ear is ideal.

Fading will be a loving and protective, albeit quiet and reserved, mate. He isn’t the type to proudly and loudly proclaim his love to the entire Clan; in all honesty, once they become mates, he probably won’t say much of anything to anyone and just let them figure it out themselves. Talking about romantic feelings with anyone but a mate makes him feel incredibly awkward.

He’ll want to spend lots of time with his mate; once RiverClan returns to their normal territory, he’ll find a secluded place out in the territory for a hideaway for the pair when they want it. He has four kits (although they currently don’t know he’s their dad!); he will tell his mate about them once they grow super close, and he’ll expect her to be accepting of them and loving toward them.

Fading will want kits with his future mate; this is very important to me, as I want Fading’s family to have a legacy in RiverClan. Fading wants these kits to be biological; while he’d prefer an AFAB he’s fine with a MtF trans cat as long as they’re okay with using a surrogate down the line!

Obviously this cat needs to be a loyal and dedicated RiverClan warrior who is genuinely interested in making the Clan better! Fading is currently 30 moons; I’d prefer someone between 24 and 40 moons but I’m willing to flex a little for the right candidate. My hard limits are 18 moons and 50 moons.

Aside from everything I’ve said above, please just be highly active with this character and willing to commit to them over the long-term! I don’t mind Fading’s mate dying eventually, but I very strongly prefer that not happen like two months after they become mates lfjskfj

I’ll leave this open for a while and pick a few candidates to try out! Ideally this will be a slow-burn (but not too slow since I get impatient lol)

Fancy applications are much appreciated, but do whatever you want! Just please put some effort in. I’m going to be picky since Fading is my main and a character I want to keep for a long time. You're welcome to create a cat for this role, but I'll want to see you be consistently active with them for a few weeks before picking them as a candidate if I think they're a good fit.

The Lady of the Woods
"Beneath the dappled sunlight, the lady of the woods reminds us that wisdom flourishes in the shade of solitude."

 

The sky is clear and cloudless. The sun is shining more brightly than usual, as as to
make up for the lack of it's fluffy companions. A perfect day, or so they say. A pair of kites swirl and loop turough the sky like winged dancers, their movements precise and graceful. Presumably mates, still courting. Red kites usually mate for life. They will be happy. Unless tradegy strikes.

"Come on, your ladyship, stop dawdling now!"

In a far away land two cats sprint through the early newleaf forest. Laughter fills the air as they frolick and dive, in a similar fashion to kites. Joyful smiles plaster their faces as they weave around one another. They are happy. It's like as long as they are together, nothing bad will befall them. Their love is too powerful.

 

The red kites have laid their eggs now in the folds of newleaf. Soon they shall be parents to their precious hatchlings and teach them all the ways of their ancestors. A family of hunters, a happy family. Memories would be made and, if fate had it's way, their children would stay for a while before taking flight to find love and start families of their own. The endless cycle.

"Hurry now, my lady!"

The pair of agile felines are still around as well. Happier than ever. Always happy. Up to their usual antics of dancing through their forest home, but collecting materials of sorts...perhaps for their own nest? Are they planning on raising their own brood? It's very likely. Though, a bit behind the kites they still have time. For now they are just gathering leaves, moss and whatever else that is soft they can find while spending time with one another. Soon they shall have a family of their own.

You bump into something suddenly, only to face a she-cat with dim blue eyes staring back at you.
"Uh, do you need something?"

 

"I'm Floodsight? Your clanmate? Has water gone into your head? Do you need me to bring you to Mistyshard?"
Floodsight is a little reserved when it comes to her clanmate. But she still worries for them as much as any other clanmate. Calm as she is, she can also come across as cold and stone-faced, hardly reacting to cats she's not close to. Once she opens up, Floodsight can be extremely caring and loyal to those. Despite finding it hard to warm up to other cats, Floodsight, without a doubt, is still a responsible contributing member to the clan.

 

"Can't get back yourself?"
Floodsight likes being depended on. She get too anxious to offer strangers help, but appreciates other putting their trust in her. Furthermore, having another cat willing to prolong their conversation in a positive manner always warms her heart. Almost enough for her to join in and keep chatting. All in all, Floodsight still prefer to listen to others and help with practical/rational decisions.

 

"Hhmf, alright, if you say so. But warning, I ain't the chattiest to be around."
Once Floodsight opens up, she is as loyal as she can to those cats. At times, she would even be the one to start the conversation. Floodsight loves her friends a lot and would support them through thick and thin the best she could. In a relationship, Floodsight may be extremely shy at first. As soon as she gets comfortable, Floodsight is a committed and reliable cat who devotes her time and energy to maintain a happy relationship.

 

"Oh yes! Aren't they just adorable? Such energetic bundle of joy and such the entertaining bunch to be around. I-I..."
Floodsight has a soft spot for kittens. She would forget half her responsibilities for a second to ensure their happiness. Their undying energy and fearless ability to approach others is something Floodsight admires. She very much wishes she has the ability to confidently chat up her clanmates, but her conversations with others is usually short-lived or work related.

 

"I see..."
Floodsight might miss a few social cues making her unable to respond. No worries, change the subject. Haha. Floodsight doesn't like giving up, and will think about her mistake until she can fix it. If she sees an opportunity to fix her mistake, she would take it right away.

 

"U-um okay, no worries?"
Floodsight's direct and honest words some times come out as insensitive. She doesn't mean to, but it could hurt other's feeling. To avoid hurting other's feeling by disagreeing with their opinions or speaking blandly, Floodsight would close herself off

Floodsight is a little young (20 moons) also pain to talk to at first. So uhh haha, but might as well let her have a shot at this. Hopefully this is readable and enjoyable. I've never formatted in this way before
