Badgerear sat in the crowd of cats, praising the new warriors and just enjoying the day. "Spacejumper! Daylightwing!" He shouted, his voice joining the many. His large tail flicked happily in the air.



Spiderthroat then started going over the commands to deal with the threat that has haunted Thunderclan territory for while now. Good, this threat should be dealt with, he thought while nodding his head in agreement. But wait... his name was called. Badgerears mouth fell slightly open in surprise. Not only was his name was called but he was on one of the battle teams. Badgerear gulped and his long hair bristled slightly. Badgerear was not an eager fighter, the thought filled the large tom with dread. But he understood why he was picked. He looked like a fighter by his size, broad shouldered and towering over most cats. The warrior code means I must defend my clan...This beast doesn't have a warrior code to follow, it has no honor, it must be fought. Reminding himself of his promise when he earned his warrior name.


He quickly gave his fur a quick lick to smooth it down. He padded up to Spiderleg and gave his deputy a solemn nod.


"I'm here." He mewed. Badgerear continued to worry that he wasn't the right cat for this, he felt at a loss on any battle plans. But he wasn't going to voice his concerns to Spiderleg.

Hearing his name, Sunleap headed over to the warrior's den, as he had been told to do if he heard his name. Before hearing his name the tom had been planning on taking Sheeppaw and Beetlepaw out, maybe Mantispaw and Porcupinepaw too. He would have to take Dogpaw out separately, as she absolutely hated Beetlepaw. Sunleap couldn't fault her. Sure Beetlepaw had done nothing wrong, but their mother had always favored Beetlepaw. He had tried to get her to understand that all three of their kits needed the same amount of love, but he had failed. The only reason he had never broken up with her was because he loved her and couldn't bring himself to. Them shehad gone mising. He did miss her, but at least all of his kits were getting the love they deserved from their remaining parent. @Starfall

Sproutfleck yowled out the names of the new warriors. DaylightPaw was a
warrior now? Hmm. She'd be good at it. Sprucejumper seemed a little young
in his eyes, but who was the red-brown spotted tom to judge? Instead, he
just smiled. Sprucejumper, Daylightwing. Sprucejumper, DaylightWing.
After, he listened as Spiderthroat snarled. One brow was raised mutinously as
the cats were scolded. The idiots. With a haughty glare gleaming in his emerald
green eyes, he then directed them back to the deputy.

He wanted to maul the bloody beast? Hmm. He wrinkled his nose in disdain at
the thought of it galavanting around the old camp, have the greatest time of it's
friggin' life. Oh? A patrol to drive it out? Sproutfleck approved entirely. The
thought of killing it, or driving it out, brought a stab of delight rocketing through
his blood. They would kill it, hopefully. They would at least beat the crap out of
it. They would claw it so hard it would think it was a cat, in a bloody wonderland.
He couldn't stifle a snort of amusement. He himself would be on the patrol? He
grinned a toothy grin filled with glee. Now he got the chance to murder it. He
got the chance to prove his worth! Which, in his opinion, was very necessary.
Even though he was rather strong and he was pretty sure Bumblestar knew his
ability (The reason she put HIM on the patrol! Ha!) but wanted to test him. Or
he hoped, at least. He wanted to beat the crap out of it, and present the clan his
glory and ability. Which was a lot. He smirked up at Spiderthroat. Let's beat
It senseless, eyh?

He padded over in a brisk-paced trot toward the warrior's den, and winked at the
nearest cat. We'll bust its jaw, with any luck. Then the stupid creature can't bite
us. Or, I guess that's all we can hope for. He truly did want to bust its jaw. That
would improve the fight quite a bit.

Skunkstrike

She cheered the names of their newest warriors, proud and happy to see more strength flowing into the greatest Clan of all. Skunkstrike turned her head to stare at Mudhound, eye stretching as wide as a moon at the rather...boisterous praise. She couldn't help but crack a wide grin at the enthusiasm.

Then...Spiderthroat began to speak. And oh her attention was fixed from that point. They were going to battle. With a beast. Badger? FOX!? She hoped it was a fox. She paid acute attention to the plan. Three teams. One for distraction, one for sneaky tactics, one for powerhouses. And she was on the last team.

Her entire demeanor shifted, the smile twisting into one of malice. Her eye burned with blue fire, a desire for blood and she stalked over to the warrior's den as was told, kneading the dirt and grass at her paws in anticipation for this opportunity. "Let's make it sorry it ever tried to mess with ThunderClan..." She chuckled darkly.

So, he's on the distracting team, huh? Not bad. The older tom would've preferred to go paw to paw with the beast, but there's no use crying over misplaced prey and even less use disobeying orders. With a quick nod, the mink point does as he's told and takes a step toward the warrior's den where everyone would be convening. Spiderthroat had yet to say exactly what was lurking in the old camp, but that'll be a problem for later, when they've seen the thing and know what its fighting abilities are like. As the distraction team, he, Mudhound, Eggbite and Violetfreckle will be in charge of discovering it's weaknesses and exploiting them so those on the attack end of things can do their job well.

Redhawk - ThunderClan Hornet

As the meeting moved onto other topics, Redhawk was a bit surprised to learn that one of their own Clanmates was involved in a cross-Clan relationship. Oh? And with... Oh. She flattened her ears in disappointment. How could one of their own fall in love with a cat from another Clan, especially RiverClan, after everything? It made her wonder...

It seemed to be handled, what with Lavenderpaw given a cat to watch her. Red had been expecting it to be either herself, Mudhound, or Wolfhive, but thankfully another Clanmate stepped up to help. Next was apprentice ceremonies... her heart tightened a bit. Some of those kits were so young... Apprehension showed clearly on her face as Redhawk glanced up at Bumblestar while also curling her tail around Elkpaw. He had been apprenticed young, but so far had been fine. It still didn't... sit all that right. But she trusted her leader.

Her thoughts were interrupted when there was a loud yowl behind her, and Red whipped her head around to see the newly demoted Lavenderpaw. Oh, she was leaving?? Orangeblossom was there and they started talking - the warrior was leaving forever? Redhawk turned her gaze back to Bumblestar, who was shifting towards different meeting topics now. It wasn't like the leader to miss Lavenderpaw's shout, but perhaps with all of the other things happening she hadn't caught it. "Lightningeagle, p-please escort Lavenderpaw to t-the border if sss-she wants to leave," she called, nodding to the cat, then shifting her disappointed gaze towards the demoted queen.

Then Redhawk turned back to listen in and - did she heard that right? Daylightpaw and Sprucepaw were both becoming warriors? Immediately excitement wrapped around her. She straightened up, eyes flickering over to Daylightpaw - who was now Daylightwing. Before she could do much of anything, the loud voice of one familiar Hornet. Red instinctively flattened her ears as tight against her skull as she could, but her grin was wide. "I love you..." Her grin and gaze was full of nothing but love as she stared at her fellow hornet... before realizing what she had said. Immediately her eyes widened and Redhawk blinked. Thankfully with the noise with which Muddy was speaking with, she likely wasn't heard. Hopefully...

"DAYLIGHTWING! SSS-SPRUCEJUMPER! DAYLIGHTWING! SSS-SPRUCEJUMPER!" she cheered with a laugh, looking to Elkpaw at her side. "T-That'll be you one day, up there. With the whole C-Clan chanting your name." She was excited for the prospect of taking her first apprentice all the way through until the end, after Foxpaw had... Redhawk smiled wider down at Elkpaw, then looked back up, towards Daylightwing. "Congratulations, Daylightwing. I'm so proud of you. Both of you." She gave a nod to the new warrior, then to Sprucejumper as well.

Spiderthroat was speaking now about the creature that roamed near Haggard Ruins. It sent a shiver down Redhawk's back to think of, and she let her tail tap against Elkpaw's shoulder. "SS-Stay in camp, okay? I'll be back. Why don't you go f-find SSS-Swanpaw, or T-Timberpaw?" She offered a small smile towards her apprentice before she got to her paws and nodded towards Spiderthroat and moved towards where her group was called. Sproutfleck, Aldercry, and Sunleap. Two of the warriors were already there, so now they would wait for Aldercry to join them. For now, Redhawk dipped her head to the two.

lavenderpaw smiled internally. while orangeblossom was young, he'd make a good warrior in time. but for now she had to leave. "orangeblossom, I'm not just leaving the camp. I'm leaving the Clan. I'll go to RiverClan, because I heard Birdsnow might be willing to let cats from other Clans in. But then she remembered that sorrelstone might be dead. well, maybe birdsnow would pity her. maybe she'd try life as a loner instead. it was- would be just her and her kits. The large tom was used to orders so it was not surprise that he was being told to handle someone. “On it, Redhawk” Lightningeagle stands up the moment the Hornet calls for him. “Shut it and get moving, you wanna leave so badly then I’ll be escorting you. We don’t want traitors anyways.” The warrior scoffs, paws in motion as he stands in-front of the cat. “I don’t have all moon, get moving Lavenderpaw, trust me. We don’t need to tell Bumblestar because you just made a fool of yourself in the middle of a meeting.” Deep voice hopefully getting the cat to move. He would drag her out if he had to and she wasn’t quick enough. Lightningeagle looks at the Hornet and Leader then back at the warrior turned apprentice.

Oh, oh!! Mumzie was being sent out on a mission!! Though her ears were still ringing and the little spotted tabby was utterly disoriented from the scream, she frantically waved a paw in direction a where she thought her mumzie was.
“Luck! Luck, mumzie, LUCK!!!”
Poppypaw exclaimed, hoping her mumzie would hear.

In all the commotion Badgerear remembered he had been assigned an apprentice. Mousebrain! He called himself, he had to pay more attention! He searched the crowd until he found Maplepaw and touched noses with her.


"After my assignment I will take you on a patrol of all territory!" He mewed excitedly. What bad timing, he thought, he would have liked to get started immediately, knowing how excited Maplepaw must be.



"When I'm back I will make it up to you I promise." He added. "I have to get back to Spiderthroat now but If another warrior wants to take you out now I won't be offended." With that he went back towards the warriors den. Duty calls.

Great stars above. Bumblestar pinned her ears flat as her sibling transformed into an ear-drum obliterating foghorn. She almost missed Spiderthroat's call for the patrol once they were finally done shouting, and with a shake of her head she redirected herself.

"All of you, listen up," she barked, moving to stand underneath Spiderthroat, "this is not something to joke around with. I know some of you are going to think this is something you've handled before, but it's not. This thing isn't your run of the mill predator that got a little too cocky for its own good, this is big 'n it'll kill you just for the hell of it. Don't be stupid. Don't be a hero. You fight for your life 'n your Clanmates lives here, not for glory or honor or fun. You can't take this seriously, then do us all a favor 'n stay behind. If you do something idiotic 'n get someone hurt or killed, I'll give you the exact same injury or worse once we're done."
