Doeflame arrived at Sky Glade after her clan. Her tail swished in anticipation for the fight; after the raid on ThunderClan was cancelled she was longing to sink her claws into something. And she could socialise with the WindClanners while they were waiting, which was nice.

The slimy apprentice was among the last of the Shadowclan cats to emerge from the darkness, careful to avoid stepping on any of the Windclan fauna. There wasn't really much to bump into out here, what with the lack of... everything... but one couldn't be too careful!

He practically vibrated in excitement as Twilightstar explained the situation. Minks had taken over not one but two locations... but no one seemed to care as to why they had. Had the little guys own territories been destroyed or taken by something? Had they lost their source of food or water? Maybe they just needed a change of scenery? A pink nose wiggled while he thought of possible reasons. Had anyone tried simply asking the minks to leave?

The apprentice would stay quiet for now, curious as to what patrol he would be assigned.

While she was lost in her thoughts, a strange-smelling, large gray cat approached her. Lynxshade's body was big enough, but this feline could be almost exchanged for a Shadowclan warrior given his size. If not for his scent, which recalled her of grass, wind, and other plants she had never before seen with her eyes.

She wasn't nervous about the incoming battle, but she hoped that Windclan would at least thank them enough for their efforts.

"Greetings, Wolffang." She replied coolly, suppressing the urge to give her chest a lick while the other talked. So, this cat had been the deputy of Windclan sometime before... she couldn't help but wonder why he had lost -or abandoned- such a prized rank. "My name is Lynxshade, current Enforcer of Shadowclan."

Wait, who was now Windclan's current deputy? She remembered the name of Fallownose, but rumors had spread that now this clan held a vacant place for that role... how was it that Twilightstar hadn't chosen a deputy yet? Then, again, it would be hypocritical to ask Wolffang such a question. After all, Dawnstar had yet to make the same decision as well. Well, at least we're on the same level.

She decided to sit down and make conversation while the two leaders discussed a plan, then forced her fur to lie flat and her body to relax. She was safe, after all. And she had the fighting abilities to defend herself. Why be so on edge, then?

"May I ask you, Wolffang, what took you away from the deputy role?" She asked with interest, hoping the other cat wouldn't take that as a provocation. His amber eyes burned into hers green.

The windclan warrior padded over to Doeflame cautiously but there was no harshness in his eyes "Looks like everyone is getting along which is good he says softly. "Names Spiraltail yours?"

Briarsplash listened to Twilightstar's words as her eyes flicked over WindClan's ranks. They were outnumbered by the rabbits, but hey, ShadowClan brought ferocity with each one warrior. They didn't need numbers, just the skills and strength from willing paws.

She briefly wondered if she'd rather go to the Hills or Falls... killing the lot of minks would be a lot more fun than just driving them out, she mused. But she'd stay quiet and go wherever one of the leaders assigned her. Though a feisty she-cat herself, she was certainly restrained when it came to Clan authority; the last thing she wanted to do was jeopardize her spot in a Clan that saved her many moons ago now.

The large tom followed the leader to where they would be meeting up with WindClan. It was a decent trek, but nothing that he couldn't handle. If anything, the anticipation of being able to properly redeem himself against those malicious, overgrown rats had his claws itching within their sheaths. He was so ready. The last time, they had been simply overrun and he was unable to do too much. This time would be different. He'd return home victorious, and be able to prove to everyone else just why he was considered one of the elites. Before, he had been heavily driven by emotion and was prone to mood swings, however, now? Now he was fully locked in and he felt like he would be able to fight to his full potential without hindrance.

The massive dark-furred tom took note of the gathered cats in silence. Dawnstar was informing them that they better not act out of line, however, if he saw someone trying to pull something stupid he would personally step in and handle it. He wasn't in the mood for any shenanigans, and if they were going to make a fool of the clan in front of WindClan, then they deserved an extreme punishment. They were ShadowClan, not some disorganized mess like RiverClan was.

Blue eyes scanned the surroundings once more and he noticed that Dawnstar approached Twilighstar and began discussing the plan of attack. A memory flashed in his mind of one cool Leaf-Fall evening, when the skies were lit up with stars and a pair of beautiful amber eyes stared into his own. He ignored it. Pushed it down somewhere where it wouldn't resurface for a very long time. That had been the first night he met the WindClan leader, having informed her of an apprentice who had run ahead of the rest of the clan. It was her fault. If she had better control over that apprentice, Ashpaw was it? Then things wouldn't have ended up this way. Oh well, too late now.

Next he saw the other clan's healer who that fiery tabby he met seemed to fancy, and the spunky grey and white warrior who had helped him get a mink off of his leg. Speaking of that tabby... where was she? Firestorm didn't appear to be anywhere, and though he didn't really care all too much, he couldn't help but wonder if she was alright. Oh well, time to wait.

Diligent white tipped paws carried the freckled oriental shaped herbalist onward as he padded out of Shadowclan camp and into the marshy, towering pine forested realms beyond, sharp alpine scents mingling with the floral marigold scents that wafted from the leaf bundle that hung from Mossfreckle’s white muzzle, clenched gingerly within the sharp canines of his maw. The pace was quick as the shadowy clan slunk through their territory, their deeply verdant conifer land turned golden and Windswept as shadows wisp amongst the wind… focus, focus, focus, focus… a lone incantation, a whisper chanted throughout the medicine cat apprentices starry mind, thump thump thump was all he heard among the ocean static that filled his angular ear, the thump thump thump of his heart was all he heard over the howling of the wind - a tête-à-tête of nerves and excitement prickled his white and sepia pelt, insecurity trailing small slivers of crimson down his tattered heart… focus, focus, focus, focus… he was a whiskers length away from the edge of a cliff but this fall was controlled and meticulous, a switch flipping to calm as if the ocean static had manifested in calming waves that washed his starry mind clean. Beside him ran the calico apprentice who had always been a beam of light in his life, a golden ray of sunshine in the darkness of his starry mind - well, warrior now, Palesong, a cant of his angular head and a soft twitch of the corners of his whitened muzzle, a nod and he was off… he was glad to have capable paws among Shadowclan’s currently lackadaisical ranks. Coming to a halt along with the rest of Shadowclan, Mossfreckle set his bundle between his petite white tipped paws and sat, feathery tail twitching in anticipation as mossy hues searched the growing crowd for the tortoiseshell form of Shadowclan’s tortured [Hollywood] starlet who he had entrusted to carry the second bundle of precious healing supplies for the battle, his eyes darting momentarily to catch a glimpse of Fogwatcher and Hillstrider whom he wasn’t sure had come… he knew Birdie wouldn’t be they - hopefully.
