The dim, quiet mood seemed good enough for a story. Goldfish, who had been thinking a lot about events lately, rose to her paws where she had been relaxing and padded over to the Center of the clearing. The tortoiseshell lionheart's ears perked as she began to speak. "RiverClan!" she yowled in her signature and uncontrollable Lionheart-voice. "Tonight I'll be telling a story- a scary one, haunting enough to make your fur stand on end. So gather around, listen close, and I'll begin." Goldfish announced, sinking to her haunches and curling her scarred tail around her paws. This story would hopefully scare at least a few cats.In theory. It would be a nice, fun thing for everyone to participate, scary or not.

Aspenpaw fluffed up his fur against the biting cold, or atleast it felt freezing to him. Could it possibly get colder?? He would hate to imagine it, it was only leaf fall. Leaf are was yet to come and apparently those moons would be colder than this. Was his winter coat growing in yet? If not it better pick up its pace before he dies of frostbite and joins starclan early!

The sun had long since dipped below the horizon and the stars shone bright overhead. He could retreat to the warmth of the apprentice den but he found himself clanmate watching. He'd usually go to sleep early while some of his clanmates preferred to stay up and bask in moonlight. He didn't see the appeal. The moon provided no warmth like the sun did, it was dark, cold and more importantly he could here crickets. Crickets were bugs, he hated insects.

Ember eyes caught on movement causing him to look away from his paws. Goldfish, Marigoldpaws mentor, was moving to the center of the clearing. That wasn't smart, it was bound to be colder there. She then announced, using the commanding voice most lionhearts used, that she would telling a scary story. PFT please, scary stories were for kits. Aspenpaws wrapped his tail tightly around his paws and went back to staring at the ground.

Ok this was boring. Rising to his paws he walked over to where goldfish sat, lowering himself into a loaf like sit and curled his tail around his paws. He'd rather just listen to the story then sit by himself or go to sleep. Besides maybe he could witness some kits get scared. That sure be funny. He knew he wouldn't be scared, after all they were just stories made up to frighten others and he wasn't scared of anything. Not even insects that just...were disgusting. Yeah.

Caveclaw was doing... not much, per usual as of late.(stupid leg.)
She heard Goldfish call for scary stories and all that.
Hm.
Wall, she doesn't have much of anything better to do.

Caveclaw found a place to sit silently, a bit away, but still able to hear.
She unintentionally made herself look a little ominous, but she was just, ya know, listening like the others.

Scary stories? The announcement had Deerpaw admittedly intrigued. Already quite the crowd was gathering, and he wanted to be sure to get a good seat before too many others squished in. Deerpaw bounded out with his nose wiggling as he sniffed the air, the gathered clanmates and the excitement tinged by the coming cold.

A cold night does seem like a good time for scary stories... Deerpaw slinked his way forward before settling down, tucking his paws beneath himself.

Scary stories? Now that was quite an interestin' idea. Reminded her of when ma used to gather her kittens around tell 'em those old ghost stories when they didn't want to go to sleep. Those would always completely spook Peachspring and her siblings into going straight to sleep. Oh those good old days. She thought wistfully.

So Peachspring took a seat, looking excited about the idea of a spooky story. Especially if it was told by the pretty Lionheart.
