Apprentices need at least five instances of training experience that include the company of a warrior. The warrior does not have to be their mentor. These experiences must include:

- One land hunting lesson (0/1)
- One water hunting lesson (0/1)
- One battle training session (0/1)
- One swimming lesson (If you received a swimming lesson as a kit, it counts for this!) (0/1)

Per site rules, roleplayers may select the final two lessons for their apprentice, as long as those training instances involve their cat learning something substantial. To help diversify RiverClan’s skillset and open opportunities for new stories, you are strongly encouraged, but not required to pick two options from this list:

- Advanced land combat (0/1)
- Tunnel navigation (0/1)

Stagheart let out a long yawn as he stretched his muscles in the pale morning light. The Clan had just recently arrived at the abandoned Twoleg den, and were in the midst of trying to figure out if their old territory was safe to return to. He was itching to get back to the home he'd known his whole life, but at least for now, he felt a whole lot better not being stranded on a giant exposed rock way up high. He'd never admit it, but... heights daunted him a bit. So he was more than happy to be back on the soft forest floor, even if they weren't quite home yet.

He padded over to where the makeshift apprentice's den was set up, sitting down on his haunches and curling his tail over his paws. He hadn't started Baneberrypaw's training yet since they'd been traveling down from the mountains, a rather arduous and prolonged journey... but now, after a day or so, hopefully the apprentice was recovered enough to at least begin training. StarClan knows he shouldn't hold off too long — RiverClan needed strong warriors. And this apprentice had at least seemed enthusiastic, which had made him feel somewhat optimistic that the training should go alright.

Although, sometimes, eagerness needed to be contained.. he knew that well himself. And he'd had two other apprentices, both of which had been eager souls — luckily, both of them were now successful warriors. Hopefully this would turn out much of the same...

Clearing his throat, the large, scarred tom finally called out, his gruff drawl rising above the idle chatter of the Clan. "Hey, Baneberrypaw... come on out. First day of trainin'." Then he patiently waited, whiskers twitching in the greenleaf breeze.
