RIVERCLAN'S PREY PILE

LOCATION: The prey pile is located in the center of the camp clearing, within a dugout hole. During leafbare, the hole is packed with snow to ensure the prey kept there remains edible for longer durations. A piece of tree bark covers the hole to protect prey from harsh sunlight and other bad weather.

Due to the prey pile being OPEN to everyone in RiverClan there is going to be a set of rules that must be followed if we're going to make this work, these rules will be modified as needed. Failure to follow these rules will likely result in punishment by Pikestar or Gingerfrost. Credit to Moonraven for this idea.

 

RULES & INFORMATION

1. Posts must show the current number of prey in the pile.
2. If prey is not added here regularly, RiverClan will starve!
3. IC posts should be made here when taking away or adding prey to the pile, beneath or above that including an OOC [+/-] depending on the reason you're posting here, along with an = [for the current number of prey left]. This must be done after every post to help keep track.
4. In order to add prey to the pile, a hunting roleplay must be linked in the post or prey added will not be valid.
5. All hunting patrols sent out by the deputy are required to drop their prey here. If a hunting patrol makes a report without adding to the pile, potential IC punishments and repercussions will be given out by Gingerfrost. He has bapping privileges, curtesy of Pikestar.
6. Prey not eaten within 14 days (real-time) must be disposed of with an IC post.
7. Prey not disposed of within two weeks (real-time) may cause stomachaches and illness if eaten or worse: attract predators to the camp!
8. Roleplayers with cats disposing of prey must state somewhere in OOC the amount of prey that is being taken away and what is left over.
9. Cats found eating when there is no prey in the pile may be held accountable IC by Pikestar, Gingerfrost, or clanmates.
10. This thread is not for casual roleplay. DO NOT POST here if you are not adding or taking prey from the pile.

Padding back into camp with the fresh rabbit still securely in his jaws, the dark-furred oriental tomcat made his way to the center of the clearing. With one paw, he lifted up the piece of bark that was rested over the prey pile before dropping his caught prey into the hole. They gave a brisk singular nod before setting the bark back down over the pile. With that done, the RiverClan leader trotted away from the pile and retreated back into the darkness of his den.

Re-entering camp, Flintfang made a beeline for the newly established prey-pile, dipping his head to drop the mouse he'd caught at Haven Springs onto it. It was a work in progress, the fresh kill pile, but RiverClan would survive. They always did.

My first fish. Mintpaw padded proudly to the freshkill pile, a hole in the snow covered by some dry bark. I caught it underwater. In leaf-bare.
The fish still felt slimy in her mouth, though it was starting to freeze and become harder.
She let the chub fall on the few pieces that already laid there, and then covered the hole again.

Humming to herself as she padded into camp, the squirrel proudly from her maw, Silverpaw gently placed the prey onto the pile. She was quite proud of herself for that catch! She hoped that Slatestripe would report to Gingerfrost positively about it!

Icky smelly, a rotten mouse and rabbit. Gingerfrost swiftly swooped in and disposed of the two, before any wayward mouths could eat it and get sick.

Bluestone walked into camp tired from the hunt he hoped he had caught enough for the clan, never the less he mind as well hunt every once in a awhile whether on a patrol or not still mind as well hunt once in a while. as he walked to the prey pile he put down the water fowl and the perch, the setting the mouse down he smiled and went off

Splashtail frowned at the prey pile. She was hungry, but didn't want to eat until she caught something. Maybe she should join a hunting patrol.
