This... Elkpaw felt bad for doing this. He really, really did. Guilty, even, because who was he to even consider something of this caliber? To even
think about turning to the Clan that housed the cat who'd nearly killed him, turn his back on the ones who cared...
It should land him in the Dark Forest, honestly. But he felt so disconnected lately. Redhawk had been around, yes, but his siblings and father seemed distant. His mother? Gone. Probably never coming back. Yeah, it was his own fault that he hadn't bothered to reach out to anyone else. But Brindlepaw hated him. If his own brother did, why wouldn't anyone else?
Lostspark didn't, and she was from ShadowClan. That Mossfreckle guy hadn't, at least not at the Gathering. Whoever had pulled him out of the ravine hadn't, either. He'd have protection from that violent cat, if he went.
Maybe he didn't really want to. Maybe that was why he was actually going to talk to someone about it instead of just bolting.
"Redhawk...?" His voice was soft as he poked his head into the medicine den, nose twitching and ears low.
"Are you awake? I need to talk to you."
