Patrols, oh patrols. He just needed to get them done and he'd be fine. Best way to take medicine you don't want is to just swallow it down. No matter how much it tastes and smells like mouse bile. "Alright listen up. We're doin a batch of huntin patrols. It goes as the usual, name's called you're on a patrol."

"Mapledawn ( @Starphobia ) you'll be headed to Willow's Rise bring your apprentice Acornpaw ( @Streamtail ) n Snakepelt ( @rubberRatroom ) make sure everythin's in tip top shape n catch as much prey as you're able. Report back as always don't be stupid."

"Sprucejumper ( @Alchemist Kitsune )" a name he moreso recognized. A new Warrior. This would be a decent test. "You'll be takin Warblerpaw ( @sillycreatur ) , Poppypaw ( @Estelle ) an Lioncrest ( @Jayvines) with you to the ThunderGlade. Keep an eye out. Don't cross the border and anger the rabbit chasers. You're there to catch food for the Clan not make a mess for the Clan." a warning. Lioncrest was there so he wasn't too worried...the tom seemed reasonable. He didn't know anything about the other's however.

"That's all. Dismissed get goin." he huffed. After a few moments he looked around looking for. Ah, there they are. "Bumblestar. Mudhound quick word both of you." he said as he made his way towards the pair, only noticing a little later that Bumble's kit was nearby as well. He could listen too had a decent head on his shoulders. " You too Wolfhive. C'mere. Sunkissed creek, was it confirmed we'd be gettin that back from ShadowClan, no tricks no nothin?" @dino. @Rani @BEAR.

Wolfhive twitched his ears when Spidercroak called him over. He had expected to hear his name for a patrol - but not necessarily like this. "Dawnstar said they were pawing it over, but I don't know if more beyond that's been discussed." He glanced over at Bumba, expecting her answer to be more thorough.

Despite the newfound freedom Sprucejumper had obtained alongside his warrior name - a name he now accepted as his own, knowing how proud it made The Boulder when Angry had granted it - the eight moon old mostly kept to himself. He'd found no reason to change his way of being outside of the odd expedition outside the camp's walls on his lonesome, failing to see the need to indulge in the company of others. He knew his former mentor would rather appreciate it if he made friends, but truth be told, outside of them, he couldn't really say he'd made any bonds in this place ever since his first arrival, and the former kittypet just couldn't see that changing any time soon. They were too different, the clanborn warriors and him. They lived in the same place, yes, but their goals and views on life were different, with them wanting to be granted a place in the stars when they died and him just wanting to avoid the whole death thing altogether for as long as felinely possible.

It was for this reason that he was surprised in earnest when he heard an unfamiliar voice call out to him for patrols. It took a moment for him to identify the tom as Pokey, that one quiet cat he didn't really know all that well. Good cat, really. At least, until now. Because... excuse?! Why was he being put in charge of a patrol with two apprentices and a warrior?! Couldn't the other warrior be put in charge? Being head of the patrol sounded like an awful lot of talking, and the chocolate point was not a fan of that idea in the slightest, thank you very much.

Any complaint the young warrior had died before it could even begin to be articulated, his deadpanned expression remaining as unemotive as ever while he walked up towards the calico. Protesting his situation would only lead to even more socializing, and would probably end in nothing more than him having to lead the patrol anyways. It was a waste of words and energy that seemed like even more of a hassle than simply putting up with it, and so with shoulders squared, Sprucejumper nodded, seeing nothing to object with concerning the tom's instructions as a whole. You know. If one ignored that one little caveat of I don't want to lead three cats damn it. That's three cats too many! But details... Who had time for those anyways?

"Acknowledged," he responded, letting the spotted higher up know that he understood the instructions before turning emeralds hues on the cats of the clearing, hoping the cats in his patrol got to him sooner rather than later so he could get this whole ordeal over and done with.

At Spiderthroat's summon, Bumblestar stepped away from her spot by the camp's entrance with a grunt. Wolfhive beat her to him, though no sign of Mudhound yet. That was fine for now.

"Yep, she's handin' it back over. I was planning on heading out tomorrow morning with a small group to remark the borders, but if two of you 'n Mudhound want, we can all head out now. I just need everyone to behave, last thing we need is to cause issues now."

Dun, dun. Duuuuuun dun! Dundundundundundun dunaaaaaaaa!


Today was a silly day it seemed and while Mudhound had heard the call, they'd been distracted saying bye to Redhawk and so everyone had arrived before them. Of course, being themself the tripod proceeded to take the opportunity to be silly.


Smiling wide the tripod had dropped into a crouch and now was sneaking up on Spiderthroat's tail with a wide grin, softly humming under their breath. Maybe Wolfhive or Bumblestar could see them coming but before anything could be said the hornet had snuck right over and with a butt wiggle, pounced.


The tail was caught and belonged to Mudhound now, not the deputy! It was now the maine coons play toy and they werent giving it back, one paw placed to keep the limb pinned and the other batting around the fluffy black and white fur.

....They were probably getting punched for this to be honest but some things were worth it in life.



At this point the tripod chimed into the conversation with a "Im happy to help take our creek back and you know I dont case (big) problems so you can count on us Bumble-sis! I dont get why she handed it back though, something stinks and I dunno that its the fish this time...." Suppose if there was a trick the group would find out soon enough really.

"Frizzy, Frizzy!!"
The little apprentice called with great hurry as she wobble-ran (fell) her way back to camp, quickly dropping two Juniper berries and one stinging nettle at the medic's feet. Her tongue stuck out, and she blew a raspberry at the nettle, hazel eyes looking up at Drizzlecloud with a pout.
"It stings! Nettle stings!"
She declared, warning the older feline.

Springlight has called for herb patrols, and if you’ve been mentioned, you’ve been placed on one of them! If you do not wish to be put on a patrol, please vm me and request to be replaced within three days of the patrols being organized. (If you want to be replaced, let me know by May 11th)

These patrols will be due by May 18th at 11:59 PM EST. If you need an extension, please let me know before then, however, you may ask for an extension up to three days after the due date (May 21st). If this is done, you may still be subject to minor punishment (such as a scolding, as well as Springlight’s disappointment and being sent out to get the herbs again!).

Lack of communication whatsoever will result in a moderate punishment. Communication after the due date will result in a minor punishment. Communicating that you are not able to finish the patrol on time/asking for an extension will result in no punishments.

When it comes to replies, bumping someone after 48 hours with no response is acceptable, but after 72 hours you may skip their turn.

Patrol leaders, please remember to add your patrols to the patrol menu! If you do not know how, let me know, and I can add it there for you.

It was that time of the month again, and Springlight was more than prepared to do so. She had recently finished tending to some relatively important business within the medicine den. She had gone out to give herself some fresh air. Still, she found herself thinking that patrols would be necessary for being released, especially with the fact that the whole scenario with Haggard Ruins would be trouble. She would need all paws on deck to be able to heal everybody from that situation. But, other than that, the storage has been looking relatively scarce, and Springlight wouldn't tolerate that for much longer. There were enough problems as it was going around, there didn't need to be anymore. She held no tolerance for failure in any circumstances, and if they held a reasonable withstanding for not attending their patrol, then she would serve them a reasonable punishment and then, if necessary, a demotion to give them a lesson to learn. It sounded the most reasonable given how most of the clan necessarily don’t bother to even do much other than do nothing all day, so it would provide them a reason to actually get up off their bloody arses and do something for once in their lives. Feelings mixed, the calico strutted out as she positioned herself at the bottom of the Stormcrest and peered her gaze around, landing on her first set of cats she felt willing to send out.

Whiskers twitching, the sight of the first cat had caught her eye, and she quietly beckoned her over with a flick of her tail. She hadn't known Snakefang much, but the most that she considered was that she was willing to get patrols done. If she wasn't and ended up being a good-for-nothing slacker, then there were going to be indefinite problems. “Snakefang[ @Seamrog ],” Springlight called, peering her oceanic blue gaze toward the feline as she approached the brown tabby. Even if her familiarity with the feline wasn’t much, she genuinely hoped that she would be more than willing to go out and collect herbs for this patrol. “I… want you… to go with… Dreamspirit[ @Starphobia ]... into… the territory… in search… for some catmint… elder flowers… and boneset… catmint… is often recognized… for it’s… sweet scent… and usually has…fuzzy green leaves… while elder flowers… have tall… stalks… and clusters… of white flowers… and broad leaves… and boneset is... a tall plant… with long… thin leaves… and a head… of little white… clusters of flowers… it should’t… be too… difficult to… find them.” Hopefully the duo wouldn’t show any possible failure in their search, and hopefully, Snakefang would understand the priorities of searching for herbs at a time like this. Illness could come across anyone anywhere, and Springlight wasn’t risking anything like that coming upon her clan.

Next, the oriental-shaped calico focused her attention on another warrior whom she hadn’t really found herself interested in taking out for patrols. However, Daylightwing wasn’t in the best shape to be going out and about and collecting herbs for the clan, so she assumed that her mentor would be a better option to really take out for patrols, even if the feline had failed a patrol last time due to her lack of initiative. Tail whisking, Springlight found herself less eager to take Eggbite out for a patrol as she eyed the feline, but it was better to not play any favorites. She had cats to take out for patrols and any laziness wasn’t going to cut it. “Eggbite[ @Ladiebugg ], Woodpaw[ @Blazing ]... over here,” she motioned, calling out the duo, “I… want the… both of… you to… go out… towards… Willow’s Rise… and collect… some… cobwebs… poppy flowers… and borage… I am… fairly certain… you know… what cobwebs… look like… but poppy flowers… are… red flowers… with four… to six petals… and carry… thirteen… tiny black… seeds within… the head… and borage… is a fairly tall… fuzzy plant… with large leaves… and pointed blue flowers… try to… avoid getting… any spider bites.” She hoped that they would take her word for granted and avoid getting any nasty nips from spiders, then they would be dealing with a bump for days until it was healed.

Given that her options for specific places for patrols were relatively slim, she would need to pick her choices wisely for who to send out for patrols next if she wanted the storage to be refilled again. They required comfrey and some mushrooms in case they ran into any other scenarios where they ran out of marigold and yellow bells. She wasn’t certain if the storage held any yellow bells at the moment, but she was certain that it was low. With that in mind, she may as well have a few cats go ahead and collect some yellow bells while they are out and about. Tensions were already high enough with the other clans as of late, so the extra herbs were needed. “Orangeblossom[ @Dolomedes ],” she called to the tom-cat before turning her focus towards Lightningpaw[ @Fish ], “I… need you… both… to collect… some yellow bells… comfrey… and moss… at Firefly Cove… comfrey is… a tall plant… with long green… leaves and… drooping purple flowers… and yellow bells are… large bushes… of bell-like… yellow flowers… and I… am certain… that you… know what… moss looks like.” She would’ve requested for them to go collect some mushrooms, but she guaranteed that they wouldn’t have enough mouths to carry a bunch of herbs at once.

The next couple of patrols would need to be more finesse. There weren’t a lot of places that she could send cats to; Haggard Ruins was preoccupied with a threat, and Cattail Ruins had a badger roaming around within it, so it wasn’t like she would be able to send anyone to either of those. To add to it, Herondive Hollow wasn’t a place that was able to be patrolled without her wanting to risk anyone getting mauled the way Goldenheart was. Now that she was thinking about it, she would think that it would be better for this to be the last patrol to be released, and she already trusted both Wolfhive and Drizzlecloud to collect anything that she requested, so she assumed that she would be able to put the both of them onto patrol. “Wolfhive[ @BEAR. ], Drizzlecloud[ @Omari ]… you both… will be… coming with… me to… the Thunderglade… to collect… some honey… mushrooms… and burnet… I will… explain… what burnet… looks like… on the… way there… and how… we can… collect the… honey… without possibly… risking… too many… stings.” Maybe they may hopefully collect some dandelions to ease some stings while they are there, but that wasn't on the top of her mind at the moment.

When Springlight was calling for patrols, she had been sitting close by. Although difficult to decipher, she managed to come to the conclusion that her name had been called due to eye contact. Unaware of who she was going with? Yes, but she didn't mind too much. As long as they got the patrol done, of course..

Drizzlecloud padded up by Springlight's side, offering her a smile and a wave of her tail in greeting. The longer that the molly lived without hearing, the more she went without verbally communicating with others. It was odd to speak without being able to hear yourself, after all–she would do it, but not necessarily all of the time. Not unless she was spoken to first… Or if she was really dying to try and chat with someone.
