He stretched out. He needed something to do, so he may as well train his apprentice. He had been slacking and it annoyed him. He strolled to where the temporary apprentice den seemed to be. He felt bad just getting to this now. He hoped the cat understood. A lot had gone on in the last two moons. A whole lot of stress for the entire clan.

He poked his head into the den, looking for his apprentice. “Rainin’Paw? Ready to do sum’ trainin'?” He asked. He hoped he could still be a good mentor despite the numbness in his lower jaw and tongue. He'd be able to bite again soon is what he told himself. It would be hard, but hopefully. He'd been experiencing more pain than usual though. No. That wouldn't be a set-back to training his Apprentice, there had already been enough of those.

Rainingpaw leaped out of the den excitedly! "Yes", She meowed excitedly. She was exited to have a mentor again, and hoped it would stay like that for the rest of her apprenticeship.

He smiled at the apprentices eagerness. Hopefully it would put himself in high spirits as well. “Alrigh’. One thin’ I wanna start with though is that I go’ a permanen’ injury on my jaw so sometimes my speech may be a bi’ difficul’ to understand. If ya need somethin’ repeated, jus’ tell me, k?” he confirmed with the apprentice.

RowanMane stopped in front of a tree. “Alrigh’, so, you want to dig your claws into the trunk, get a real good grip. You push up with your back legs n’ take turns movin your fron’ paws up, as if ya were walkin’. ” he instructed, digging his claws into the tree and pulling up, demonstrating until he got to the lowest brach. “Ge’ up here, I’ll spot ya.” he leapt down with ease, considering it wasn’t too high.

Rainingpaw dug three of her paws into the tree. Pushing up with the leg on the ground, she let go of the tree with one of her front paws and grabbed the tree again. She repeated this a few times until she was able to clamber onto a branch. Once she was sitting down she looked down a small ways to Rowanmane, "How high should I go before coming down?", she asked.
