Soft, small flakes at first, but they had quickly grown larger, effectively coating the slumbering ThunderClan camp and the surrounding forest in a fresh layer of white and a blanket of near silence.
If one listened close, however, distant growls could be heard beyond the camp boundaries. With each passing second they grew closer, until the yellow flash of eyes could be seen through the camp’s entrance.
Then, with blood-curdling howls and snarls, loud enough to wake any sleeping cat, a pack of giant, hulking coyotes shredded through the camp walls and swarmed into the clearing.
They’d had their fill of border cats. The real feast was beginning.
[ THIS BATTLE IS OPEN TO ALL THUNDERCLAN WARRIORS AND APPRENTICES WITH BATTLE TRAINING!
THIS BATTLE WILL SOLELY BE HANDLED BY THUNDERCLAN - NO OTHER CLANS SHOULD ARRIVE.

Howls ripped through the curtain of her slumber as Splitstorm's eyes shot open, her fur standing on end. There wasn't much time to really do anything, much less process the howling sounds, before the molly was up on her paws and scrambling out of the warriors den.
Oh no...
Terror froze her paws to the ground as she watched the hungry pack of coyotes stampede into the ThunderClan camp, no remorse for the crushed barriers underpaw. Letting out a yowl, she instantly leapt towards one of the mangy beasts that was headed towards the nursery. "Not on my watch!" she hissed, feeling her claws connect with the large dogs back and sink into fur and muscle. The coyote let out a yelp of his own, whipping it's head around to snap at her. The russet-furred molly pulled her head back sharply just out of reach of the snapping jaws.
What in the stars was happening to them??
➳ Applepaw
Having not been out of camp yet, Applepaw was resting soundlessly in the apprentices den, her muscles not yet fatigued from warrior training. Her dreams were peaceful and filled with endless running the length of ThunderClan territory and-
Waking with a start, the young apprentice swiveled her head around at the sound of undergrowth being trampled. What was going on? "Is ShadowClan attacking?" she mumbled, still half-asleep. She was met with a bone-chilling howl and the next second was on her paws. What was that?
The tortie scrambled out from the apprentices den, only to stop at the sight before her. Huge, hulking coyotes tore into camp, spit hanging sloppily from their glinting fangs. Hunger had just about ravaged them as much as it had ThunderClan, and she knew they wouldn't stop with a feast this close.
Applepaw narrowed her eyes and started to charge towards one of the coyotes, disregarding her lack of, well, any experience. "Who said you could mess with ThunderClan?" she yowled as she neared her target.
[open for someone to intercept her and tell her she's an idiot with no training pfft]

Silverwave woke suddenly, smelling the unfamiliar scent. She leapt to her feet and darted out of the den. What is happening! She thought. The she- glanced around, only to find herself face to face with a large coyote. Silverwave hissed and launched at the beast, slashing at its face. She was smaller than the , and her only hope was to fight back.
The coyote growled angrily and bit down on her neck. Silverwave yowled in pain as she felt the sharp feeling. She began to tremble as the coyote shook her. The calico tabby closed her eyes, her tail twitching.
Silverclaw woke up with a start. She leaped to her feet and raced out of the warriors den. Her eyes widened and she unsheathed her claws as she saw the coyotes. It was a matter of time that they would come. "COYOTES!!!!!" Silverclaw yowled, loud enough for the whole camp to hear. She saw Splitstorm fighting a coyote and another coyote heading towards the elders den.
Deciding, she ran towards the coyote close to the elders den and leaped towards it, landing on it's back. She dug her claws into the coyotes back. The coyote howled and tried to shake Silverclaw off but she wouldn't budge. She swiped at the coyote's ears. The coyote turned it's head around sharply and snapped its teeth at Silverclaw. Silverclaw yowled as the jaws connected to her front paw.
{Open for someone to help her}

He'd always been a light sleeper. Things... happened in the forest. Clan cats always held this stupid belief that living hidden behind brambles would protect them from the panic beyond the borders. In a way, they were right: snores and shuffling easily drowned out the predatorial cries of apex hunters. But mostly, they were wrong: hiding and protecting were two completely different things. And teaching kittens to ignore the possibilities of danger never helped them in the long run.
At the first audible snarl, Lionpaw blinked. His amber eyes adjusted to the darkness, and for a moment, he wondered if this was a dream. If he listened closely, he could hear the soft thudding of paws. Another growl. Something shot through him. Adrenaline. He hadn't heard those noises in so long.
With a start, the abyssinian stood up, his golden pelt drowned out from the lack of light. Who else was awake? He couldn't tell… The snuffling was still soft. And then… it grew in volume and intensity. They were coming for the camp, Lionpaw realized abruptly. In that case, they had no time to waste.
"Apprentices, WAKE UP!" the tomcat yowled at the top of his lungs. Simultaneously, the first canine tore into camp. "Coyotes! Anyone who knows how—we need to fight back!" He hesitated, not wanting to leap into battle before all his denmates were aware of the threat.
[Open to all apprentices! Lion plans on organizing them based on skill so that they lead an effective charge!]

The howls woke Fleetwind almost instantly. He knew instinctively that something was wrong, horribly wrong. Leaping to his paws and sprinting out the door, his jaw momentarily dropped open in horror. Coyotes, dozens of them, were flooding into the camp, destroying the barrier and edges of dens with their huge paws. He could see Splitstorm already fighting to protect the nursery. Of course the great brutes would go for the weakest and most vulnerable members of the clan. It made sense, as awful as it was.
Shaking his head vigorously to clear his head, he took in the clearing got only another moment before heading for a coyote. Splitstorm might need help, and he felt bad leaving the molly to fend for herself, but he wanted to make sure none of them entered the nursery. Other cats were sure to become aware soon and come to their aid, but for now the kits needed protected. He sped forward as quickly as possible, hoping to slide under the belly of the beast. His speed wasn’t quite great enough to keep him safe and the slavering jaws yanked a painful chunk from his fur, but before he was attacked again he managed to bite down strongly on the canids hind leg.

Re: ⚡️Who Let The Dogs Out? ⚡️
Cedarleaf snapped awake. Something was making to ground rumble, vibrate. It was unnatural. She saw something moving outside, and jumped to her paws. What was going on? She raced to the entrance of the den, and what she saw was horrifying. Huge, ugly beasts were rampaging through the camp. It took a moment for the scene to register in her mind. They weren't just any beasts. They were coyotes.
Even though she couldn't hear anything going on, she could imagine the horrible sounds. Between her mental pictures and sounds and the real sight, she couldn't move. The terror was too strong, despite how much she wanted to leap into battle. She'd trained for a long time as an apprentice to become a warrior, to be able to fight. But now that her chance came, she couldn't. Just couldn't.
The snarls and howls woke Buckstar immediately, and in a flash he was bolting into the clearing. The scene that met him initially struck absolute fear through his heart, but it quickly turned to a burning fury. These beasts had tormented his Clanmates and killed several of them, and now they dared to attack his camp?
Not on his watch.
With an almighty roar, Buckstar leaped for the nearest coyote, the one with its jaws clamped around Silverwave. He scrambled for purchase on its back, digging his claws into its shoulders, and sank his teeth into the base of its neck. The beast howled and dropped the she-cat, and began to shake itself violently in an attempt to rid itself of Buckstar. The leader lost his grip and slipped, and the breath was driven from his lungs as he crashed to the ground.
No.
......Please just no.
...................This can't be happening
She was having a night terror. Yes, that was the only plausible explanation. She wanted so badly to be the reason for the slender jaws ripping at the brambles surrounding the camp, the sheer sweaty stink of matted fur and a type of filth one could only find on the most horrendous of creatures. And what a horrible, cruel smell it was, stabbing at her brain and bullying her nose like some dirty pest she picked up deep in the forest. And deep in the forest she found herself wishing it stayed. Suffice to say, Peachblossom was beyond terrified, her pupils having grown so thin they were invisible against the petrified blue of her eyes.
.........................This can't be happening
She knew for sure that it was though, for not even she could make up so convincing a delusion. But above that, she knew that she had been staying still for too long. Her frozen paws were forced into a stiff-legged run, her vocal cords shivering too violently for her to even try yowling with any sort of clarity as she coerced herself into bolting towards one of the lanky beasts, her reluctant sights sent on one leering towards the elder's den. She had just had a lovely conversation with Poppycloud the other day, the lovable old molly, and she'd be damned if she'd never be able to have one again. A swift moment later, her teeth sank into raggedy fur and the most rotten flesh she'd ever tasted, liquid stinking of old rust flooding her mouth while a high-pitched whine invaded her ears. She tucked them close to her head and latched onto the coyote's side as it tried to reach her, clawing as deep as she could into it's pelt and beyond.
.........................This isn't happening
(Open if someone wants to assist her)

Silverwave recovered quickly, and she glanced up to see her leader, Buckstar, fall to the ground. NO! She thought, grabbing the coyotes tail and yanking back. The dog howled and bit at her again, but its jaws closed in empty air. Silverwave had jumped back in time, letting the coyote's tail go. She hissed and leaped on it again, clawing at its back.
