Is a calico/tortie male too rare to be considered realistic?
Hey, I have a cat that I planned to be a male tortie and I was wondering since male torties have about a 1 in 3000 chance of happening, is it too rare to be considered realistic?

ouh so there are health complications with being a male calico, as it is due to a genetic mutation (being an extra x chromosome, so instead of being XY it's XXY or XXXY. and because a cat needs XX to be a calico, and males are XY, they cant be calico without having klinefelter syndrome)
which... leads to klinefelter syndrome, which can lead to being unable to have kits, and osteoporosis, and a bunch more health problems
and overall have a very poor quality of life since they can have a range of different health complications
TLDR; many health complications associated with being a male calico
so,, do with this what you will

This is fine, we aren’t that strict on those things. As Vinegar said, I would just be aware of the possible health complications that may come with it! :0
