Goldenleaf forced his fur to lay flat when Owleyes spoke. “What do you mean it was the wrong move?” He said, staying as calm as he possibly could, with anger and confusion lacing his voice,”Pikestar exiled Beastgrowl for attempting to kill his daughter, who was an apprentice no less. Pikestar may have overreacted, but he did so for a good reason.”

Goldenleaf nodded. “Yes,” he meowed,”Birdpaw. Not only that, but he was sitting WAY too close to her, like how me and Featherspirit sit together during clan meetings. Except Featherspirit is my mate so… it appears Beastgrowl is a very slimy cat.” Goldenleaf didn’t like calling cats slimy, but it was the only word that was… ahem… sensible… enough for him to say.

Mintpaw observed the scene from thin slits, blue slices of moon following disdainfully the brown tom outside of camp, Otterfluff walking carefully beside him. Isn't no one else coming with them? She could easily imagine the ex-Riverclan warrior turning against her as soon as they got out of sight, blood sparkling into the water and loose itself with the flow.
She shivered at the thought. I've always known some cats couldn't be trusted. She narrowed her eyes even more, studying Birdpaw's shocked expression event though she was finally starting to calm down.

Of course, it was Slatestripe who had taken the situation in his paws and called for Pikestar, pushing him to act with the usual attitude of a clan leader. Her tail whirled as she observed the crowd in the clearing, cats pacing around or staring through the entrance where the exiled tom had disappeared.
Deep inside, she knew that Pikestar would've probably realized by now that Slatestripe was taking the deputy's roles in Riverclan. But will he accept it?

Troutstone opened his mouth to reply, but forgot to as commotion broke out. He tried to peer past the cats to se what was happening. From what he could here it sounded like a warrior, Beastgrowl, had attacked(?) an apprentice, Birdpaw. He winced at Pikestar's words, and hoped the queens had covered their kits ears. With Beastgrowl having been exiled and removed from the camp, Troutstone sat back down.
"StarClan forbid more deaths," he finally answered.

Spiritfur padded into the clearing and sat down.

Fennelcall hadn't seen the scene play out, he was sitting too far back, but he had noticed some commotion in that general area, his gaze shifted to where the apprentice Birdpaw was seated, and although his calm demeanour Fennelcall could feel a bit of anger bubbling up under his pelt as he saw Beastgrowl, as the tomcat fled with tears in his ears after the 'kill on sight' exile was issued, an exile Fennelcall would hold up, his eyes followed the dark brown tabby and then flicked back to Birdpaw, he wondered for a moment if he should go over to her and comfort her, but she was quite far way and he didn't want to have to push through the crown, so he reminded himself to also check in on her afterwards if she wasn't talking with her father.

Stars above. She'd never talked to the now ex-Riverclanner, Beastgrowl, but he did give her a weird vibe. He seemed to grow attached to Birdpaw, but also was delusional? Whatever, he made her mind hurt. All she really wanted to do was claw the other half of his face off. Who in their right mind would sit that close to a cat that wasn't their mate? An apprentice, for that matter.

She could feel pawprints marching up her forearms and over her mouth, slithery, slimy, and cruel. She shivered, pressing closer to her brother's side.

Fennelcall blinked as his little sister, Kestrelpaw, pressed closer to him, he peered down to her and she was visibly uncomfortable about the whole situation. Kestrelpaw was roughly in Birdpaw's age group, if he wasn't mistaken, so it would make sense that she would be unnerved by this even if she was a tough cat. A feeling of protectiveness washed over him, and he curled his tail around the grey tabby, trying to comfort her. "You're okay, Kes." his meow was gentle and still in his normal calm tone, "No-cat will ever do anything similar to you, and I'll make sure of that." his promise would not be empty, even if he was dead in Starclan he would find a way to keep her safe, to keep all of his siblings safe.
