Snakefang was a little surprised to hear her name being called for a herb patrol. Her last herb patrol had been…well it was a bit of a disaster. Still though, it was nice to know she was still trusted enough. Especially to lead a patrol, that she really wasn’t expected. Two cats waiting to leave caught her attention, they must be Sprucejumper and Ravenpaw, she figured. Approaching, Snakefang gave a nod to them in greeting, before sitting down. "Marigold and cobwebs, right." She said to herself. Surely it wouldn’t be that hard, right? "Right then, let's go." She said, turning to leave.

The Calico watched as an apprentice simply left without their group. Taking a moment to think back to the announcement that was "buddy system" and "no apprentices out by themselves especially" Spiderthroat turned to Bumblestar @dino. silently. Brows raised.
If she wanted him to take care of the idiot, he expected she'd yell in his direction to catch the stupid apprentice. Tail twitching as he motioned for his group to leave towards where they were directed. "One of you lot lead. Me an Mallowpaw will take up the rear." he informed. If the brat was sick...she'd stick close to him. Seeing as how he was already surrounded by sick idiots.

It was the most beautiful sound.
Apparently, the tabby had zoned out a bit too much, and only came to when she spotted an apprentice wandering out of camp alone. She hissed and flattened her ears, and felt a small twinge of guilt. Sure, Violetfreckle hadn't said anything in a second, but they were all right here. Was this apprentice dumb enough to look at a Hornet, a warrior, and an apprentice and decide 'They're not moving so instead of saying anything, I should go alone'? Apparently. "Redhawk, Alpinepaw. Join if you want. I'm goin' after Echopaw."

Honeypetal heard her name called and slinked forward, a bit intrigued. She was going on a patrol! That didn't sound too bad. Some time outside of camp not drowning in her little sorrows would be great. "Right, poppy seeds, Violetfreckle, Acornpaw, mhm," Honeypetal whispered to herself. She found Violetfreckle, trotting by her, waiting for the apprentice to show so that they could continue on.

Ravenpaw nodded back at Sprucejumper.
Both of the warriors didn't seem relatively talkative, so far, so it looks like she might not have to make that much conversation.
Anyway, she follows as Snakefang decides it's time to go.
...In all honestly, there were good moments and bad moments. And as strong as she was in the good moments, Redhawk's resolve was nothing compared to the bad moments.
Finally coming back to reality the hornet realized that not only had a lot of time passed, but one of the apprentices had gone off on their own and Violetfreckle was urging the patrol on as well. Yellow-green eyes blinked in surprise, the feeling coming back into her paws as she glanced around. Embarrassed, that was a good word for what she felt.
Nodding numbly, the hornet turned and followed Violetfreckle out of camp. It was scary how... little she wanted to race after the apprentice to make sure they were alright. And besides, she had failed with every one given to her - Crowpaw, Elkpaw, Brindlepaw. What difference would her chasing after them make, outside of chasing them further away?

A brown tabby approaching the group and offering them a nod, the quiet warrior returned the gesture, assuming from her question that this was the Snakefang they were waiting for. It seemed that unlike his last few patrols, there weren't too many chatty cats this time around. Good. They could just go ahead and get the herbs and cobwebs they needed and get it over with. Specifically the cobwebs. He was better getting those than the flowers... mostly because the cobwebs never stung his nose for a full month after the fact.
As the warrior declared it was time to go, Sprucejumper wordlessly got up, following after Sentinel. Silently, the chocolate point stared back towards camp only for a moment. Trying to spot Snotzilla or The Boulder among those that were staying back in the clearing. Mudhound had been sick the last time he had seen them, which made sense for them to not be out and about in the open... although it worried him. Were they still ill? And what of his apprentice? Had she joined those in quarantine as well?
Worry bubbled within the tom at this thought. He knew he wasn't the best mentor ever. He just wasn't meant to teach. To care. To bond with others. But it didn't take away the fact that Sunpaw was his apprentice to look after. Perhaps he would ask Puppy when they returned if the pale tabby was under his care as well. With this thought in mind, suddenly focusing on the marigold instead of the cobwebs was certainly seeming like the right course of action to take this time around.
Hmm? Oh, patrols! Nightgaze listened eagerly as Wolfpaw called out herb patrols and gave a grin of happiness when she was assigned to one. She'd been itching to go patrolling, how lucky she was to be picked! Admittedly herb gathering wasn't the most fun thing but it was important, so she would complete it! Padding over to the undercrag, she looked around for the rest of her patrol. Hope they wouldn't be late!

Boy oh boy, those kits had him wore out, huh? Sparrowpelt wasn't typically one to be late to things, so the large warrior came trucking it across the clearing when he realized his patrolmates must've started without him. He'd have to catch up for sure! Thankfully, he overheard what he was looking for and thanks to Drizzlecloud, he was familiar with the plant in question.
So, the large warrior barreled off into the territory.

Mothflame was... Not at all pleased with the absence of her patrolmates. Letting out a frustrated sigh, she padded up to Wolfpaw.
"Hello, Wolfpaw," she greeted the young medic with a light dip of her head. Her usual friendly and pleasant-looking exterior was replaced with displeasure and annoyance. "Both Lambfluff and Hawkthorn failed to show up, and I'm going to need to go with a different warrior, if you have anyone in mind." Her large tail flicked behind her, taking the moment to again scan the clearing for any signs of the warriors that were called for the patrol.
