With a quick shuffle into the Clearing, his fur caked in mud, the deputy huffily made his way towards the Undercrag. "Gonna keep this short n sweet since I gotta go back to the Sick Camp here soon. Huntin patrols goin out I expect nothin but the best. If I don't get that I'm skinning your hides." he hummed out.

"Bumblestar ( @dino.) Skunkridge ( @Idiotic.Bean101 ) , Antpaw ( @Badwolf ) an..." a pause as he eyed the sickly looking apprentice. Ear twitching. She...didn't look the best. Hmm. "Mallowpaw ( @kittycatburmise ) , Violetfreckle ( @vellichor ) Redhawk ( @taillow ) , Echopaw ( @RavensCall ) an Alpinepaw ( @Highsnow of Matterhorn )" a pause, a good chunk of Apprentices. But, they needed the experience. Even moreso now considerin the ban was lifted. If he could stick them in groups to keep em safer, he'd rather do that than one on one's with Mentors.

"If I don't hear from you lot soon I'll be makin demotions faster than you can sneeze." he said, eyeing the rather off looking Apprentice out of the corner of his eye. Was she sick with whatever was going around...or was it a common cold?

The warning was unecessary. Antpaw doubted there was an apprentice in camp who would refuse going on a patrol with Bumblestar. Sure, she made weird decisions at times, but she strong, and she was still leader.

He steps forward, relieved that he just had hunting practice with Brackenclaw recently. He wasn't concerned about making a good impression, but he definitely didn't want to make an utter fool of himself.

"Where are we going?" He meows. He's not in a bad mood, but his expression is fixed in a grumpy frown, and his meow is irritable. That was just how he was.

Echopaw- Heavily scarred silver tabby with a missing tail, missing left eye and a copper right eye. ~26 moons

Echopaw's ear flicked in the deputy's direction, following his voice to the undercrag. It seems she wasn't alone. A bunch of other apprentices were there, like Antpaw. Echopaw's last encounter with him ended on a sour note, so she avoided him for now. She was curious about the other cats. Violetfreckle was close with Bumblestar, so she seemed like a nice cat. Redhawk was also someone Echopaw thought was a good warrior. As for the others, aside from Spiderthroat, she didn't know much about them. Hunting patrols? Hunting wasn't Echopaw's strong suit but sure, she'd try to contribute something.

Wobbling still a bit unsteady on her three legs - but much better - Redhawk blinked and smiled softly at those gathered. Her ears perked at the question Antpaw asked. "T-That... I don't know," she replied sheepishly and glanced over at Spiderthroat. "U-Um, SSS-Spiderthroat, is t-there any sss-specific area you want us t-to hunt in o-or..." Another sheepish, shy grin was tossed the deputies way as she waited for an answer - and for the last couple cats to show up.

"Nah. You've been wanting more time away from thos kids of yours, right?" Bumblestar sidled up to Spiderthroat's left side to swat him with her tail. "Go do some work. I'll make sure the place doesn't burn down without you."

And it seemed like Spiderthroat was coming in lieu of Bumblestar. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't disappointed, but hey, there would be other days. She flashed a quick smile to her mate nonetheless. "Alrighty, let's wait on Spiderthroat's expert directions, then once Mallowpaw shows up we can head out."

Mallowpaw should be at the quarantine camp. She knew that. She knew that, yet here she was, lying in her nest as a headache pounded between her eyes and she exhaled infected air into the sleeping place of healthy cats. But even as her guilty conscience nagged at her, she stayed there. She didn't want to make the trek to the camp anyway. Not when exhaustion tugged at her limbs despite her not having left her nest today except to grab prey and go to the dirtplace.

But it seemed she'd have to make a trek anyway, as Spiderthroat's voice carried into the apprentice den. A patrol. Of course she was on a patrol. Couldn't she have been assigned to one when she was healthy? When she had wished to go one, to prove herself useful? But she couldn't refuse to go, not with the threat of demotion echoing in her ears. So, reluctantly, she dragged herself out of her nest and into the clearing, blinking as her eyes adjusted to the light. She padded to her patrolmates, who were already gathered. "I hope I'm not late," Mallowpaw said to them, her voice a croak. StarClan, she didn't want to do this.
