Poppysong jumps and looks up at the leader. Shivering under their thick pelt, they sit nearby, close enough to hear but not so close that they would be able to leave if they needed. For an emergency, they tell themself.
Sniffling, the WindClan leader made her way to her den's opening and then leaped onto the branching above her. She swung her tail out and then took a seat as the branch took a moment to wobble under her weight. This moon has been nothing but issue after issue. If Twilightstar were a lesser cat, she'd only think of retiring. She was so very tired, both emotionally and physically.
But a weak leader could cause discord among the clan, and it's not like Twilightstar needed that on top of everything else that clan was in the middle of. She knows she's led WindClan through far worse, but once in a while everything caught up with and everything that WindClan's trumped over the seasons feels like nothing. It put the loving leader in a very somber mood. The deaths, Cowtuft's and Lightningstorm's inability to find answers, RiverClan's consistent trespassing, and ThunderClan's arrogance, all sat at the forefront of Twilightstar's mind.
"WindClan gather below the Galewood for a clan meeting." Twilightstar breathed out, fluffing up her pelt, trembling lightly against the cold. Leaf-bare was in full swing and did nothing to aid the leader's decently foul mood. The leaves on the tree had all fallen, and although no snow yet, it was certainly cold enough for it. She found herself missing their old camp once again, it would be difficult to fit Fallownose and or Leechscar on the branch with her.
Shifting the weight between her front paws, and hunkering down as low as she could go without falling off, Twilightstar observed as her clanmates gathered beneath her. #wcmeeting
Spottedkit happily rushed over to see what the meeting was about.
Perking up at the sound of a meeting, HogStrike hastily made his way over, curious toward what the meeting would be about.

Hello! Sometimes I'll be a little busy or get sick or not have access to my technology/Laptop so my apologies if I forget to reply or do something!
They slinked into the area, eyes distant with shock at the deaths, and sat silently. Their sister was fine, but the danger of sickness worried them. Not to mention how her mate hadn't even visited her.
WARRIOR, Houndear (he/it/they)
Houndear moved into the area with sluggish steps, yawning. From the corner of his eye, he could see Faithwillow looking up at Twilightstar, and followed their gaze.
An offwhite she-cat, with brown, black, dark gray speckles, and blue/green heterochromia; as tall as an apprentice!
VC: a light Hungarian + British accent; a purr after every "r."
Dawnkit's ears pricked. Ooo, a meeting! This was going to be the first ever meeting that she'll be attending. What was it like? Was Miss Asterblink going to be there, too? Dawnkit started to glance around the clearing.
Sigh.
And, as always,
mother isn't here.
Dawnkit kicked a pebble across the clearing. Why should she care? Why would Asterblink, out of all cats, care to come?
Auntie Lynxyowl and Uncle Silentleap said they usually came...
Fun fact: that was a lie.
Asterblink never comes to meetings.
Well, unless it's Leopardpaw's warrior ceremony.
Dawnkit shook her head and looked up at Twilightstar. She kept breaking eye contact off to look around, possibly for Miss Asterblink. Stop. But they hadn't come yet. Stop! Focus! Why was mother never here? Stop! Twilightstar can't see you cry! It was never fair. Dawnkit, STOP! Tears appeared in her eyes.
DAWNKIT, STOP!
What would Asterblink think?
They would think Dawnkit was weak.
And so, she sat still, trying to keep a mask of seriousness.

Adderkit arrived. She was tired, so tired... It had prevented her from getting a good night sleep for three days in a role. Her chest also ached with dull pain and her breathing was heavy and raspy. And the cold was making it worse. Were it not for the meeting she never would have left the nursery, as it was colder outside and it hated cold.
Caterpillarkit arrived with her sister, Adderkit.
Hummingbirdkit arrived.
Swankit arrived.

Softsong padded towards Poppysong, chirping a greeting to them as she settled by their side.
"I thought I might've been being dramatic, but if you're shivering through all that fur it must really be cold," she mewed, wriggling closer to her old apprentice for warmth.
