Mumble cautiously approached the cat, staying a good distance away still. "I- uh.. I got a bit- lost..." Mumble admitted. "You were just the first cat I saw here, and I just need some way out of here...'
They sat, tail curling around their paws and looking down at the cat. They were placing so much trust in this random cat, but they just needed a way out of this weird territory...

Neo rolled onto his side, stretching his legs in a luxurious stretch, his claws unsheathing and swiping the air in the process. His maw would part, and his tongue would loll out in a yawn before he'd retract and sit up. His gaze would settle lazily on Mumble, a blank stare from a clearly unwell cat. His tone never changed, although curiosity drove the gears in his head. "Are you hoping I'd help you? That's curious."
The black and white tom would tilt his head just slightly, letting a well-mastered puzzled look glaze over his face. "Why should I help you? Maybe I will if given some..." Hmm, what's a good word for it? '...motive."

Sleepysunrise knew it wasn't quite so safe here, but she didn't want to sully actively used ShadowClan territory with the blood of some badger. She had retrieved the badger's body from Darkfall, whom she then sent on his way, and was now (struggling) to drag the giant thing out off ShadowClan grounds and to the nearest place she thought she could safely deposit it; this would be one big burial, that's for sure, but at least the twolegs can dispose of it further should she do a poor job. It won't be attracting any predators to ShadowClan further, that's for certain. But as she sat here, in front of the badger's body, catching her breath before beginning to with digging a grave... A thought entered her mind. She couldn't practice her flaying on Sunpaw, the apprentice was ShadowClan and Darkfall would chastise her again - she didn't want to be rude. But this badger wasn't ShadowClan. This badger wasn't a part of any clan, on the contrary, had killed ShadowClan and under her veils of darkness and with ears lifted, she couldn't hear or scent a twoleg nearby - they weren't here right now.
She blinked once, then blinked twice.
She still recalled Silverlark coming back with a badger's head for Miss Grandmama. She wasn't so sure she could neatly cut this badger's head off; and its pelt was covered in gashes, which wouldn't make it a very nice nest decoration in her opinion. But the gash ripped open by darkdad by its throat, it was so... It recalled her the victims which fell at her paws when RiverClan ran with their tails between their legs. The voices in her head condemned her actions of that day as much as the spirits in her mind approved of it, and this wasn't a cat. Raking her claw through its skin... Could she practice of this badger? In fact, could she open this badger up the way her body had intended to do that day?
She could try. No one was here to witness her actions, and this was not a cat of the clans. her paws twitched with a strange anticipation as she brought a singular claw to the badger's pelt which she had pulled close, a minute hesitation pulling back. But she had to try. For the knowledge, for whatever was making these things move on the inside... For whatever lay inside.
Her first move came instinctually; she spent several moons residing inside Miss Grandmama's den, where she had spent much time observing the pelts that decorated her nest and area. She knew to start at the stomach, manoeuvring the beast in such a manner that she could slice a skin-deep and deft claw all along the badger's stomach. A part of her urged to cut deeper and seen what she would find inside between the flesh and blood - if the body was nothing more than a big blood bag. But she controlled herself, steading her paw as it created the long, thin opening from stomach. From there, it was a guess on how to continue.
The soft skin of the belly lay partially detached from the body by a thin line, blood pooling around the laceration. Uncertain on how to proceed, Sleepysunrise wiggled her claw beneath the skin and lightly pulled, trying to create some more distance between it and the flesh of the body but soon enough, paws were in the way. At the base of each paw, the youngest enforcer reached out to circle a thin skin-deep line around each wrist, being big enough to understand that these cuts couldn't be much deeper than there - she repeated the process of each wrist, before that same deft claws drew up a line of red along the inside of each leg until it reached the bigger body; creating a cut just above the stump of a badger's tail, and with light sweat on her brow, repeating said movement all around the base of the badger's throat and neck - trying not to draw much blood in such a thin and sensitive area.
Her expertise was far from perfect, and her job far from clean; butchered lines and unclean cuts littered the badger's pelt, including several tears at the hems of the skin where the dark-furred feline attempted to remove the pelt. But she proceeded all the same, taking each mistake and imperfection as a sign to be all the more careful, wiggling claw beneath fur and skin and lightly tugging again and again until finally, after what must have been an eternity, the badger had been rid of its pelt. But Sleepysunrise was not finished, and as her paw set aside the badger's dirty pelt she moved back to the body, pushing it to be laying on its back again. Now the true soiling job would begin.
With minute precision practiced during her attempted flaying, Sleepysunrise pressed her claw again and into the badger's flesh, far as she could muster, to slowly but surely begin cutting the badger's stomach open from top to base. The blood that spilled was plentiful and vibrant, staining her paws just as much as it stained the ground around her, making it difficult for the apprentice to look inside. She grimaced momentarily over the thought that crossed her mind, but her curiosity was greater - caring little for the cleanliness of her paws in this moment, the white-tufted she-cat brought her paws to pull open the badger's stomach further and bring her paws to touch the insides. A disgusted shiver than down her spine, but she kept going. Beneath her roughly removed flesh lay a carcase which she pressed upon with all her might, failing to break any of the ribs; further inside her paws reached down, pressing into the bloodied guts of the creature, rummaging about.
It was a strange, slippery sensation. She could not see much, but inside the badger's stomach she could feel plentiful of different... Things. Some long and some round, each of them as slippery and blood-covered as the last. In some occasions she hooked her claws into that slippery flesh and deftly pulled on the organs she found inside, trying - and succeeding - in ripping a select few out, others remaining stuck but strangled. These organs she found she cut open in turn, finding only more blood and strangeness inside, things she wouldn't ever understand. This was gross. But... so interesting.
She would never understand what the things inside this badger's body were, but she couldn't help but think they were important. And weak. The reason why one's stomach is always to be protected, and such a perfect place to kill - other than throat. What she had found inside this animal's throat today wasn't much different beyond what she had previously seen upon cutting her enemy's throat open; she wondered, was every animal much like this on the inside? Her mind flashed back to Sunpaw, and the missed opportunity to compare these two creatures. If she could further research this... Maybe, if she could try this on live prey without killing them? Who knew what she could discover. But in her experience, gutting was deadly. At least, it seemed like it was - organs and body torn up, blood and insides spilled out around her. A gruesome sight, while she stared down point-blank, pondering her findings. If only she could know what the point was of these... Things, taking her time to minutely inspect it all. Maybe she had to ask Mossfreckle about it someday. Maybe he would recognise any of these - at least, if the insides of a cat were the same as a badger's. Has Mossfreckle ever seen the inside functions of a cat, she wondered?
But enough time had been spent, and one badger inside the territory could mean several. With entirely torn up badger Sleepysunrise made quick work of disposing of the body beneath the soil of the Icy Heartlands before any twolegs risked to find her, deciding to take her (albeit lacking in grace and somewhat poorly done, in her opinion) badger's pelt with her as proof of the badger's murder and attack. Draping it over her back in a slopily folded manner, the badger body and guts buried as deeply as she could, Sleepysunrise set off back towards ShadowClan territory.
Slytiger raises an eyebrow at their reaction. It was so...kittish that he barely manages to hold back openly laughing at them. "Honestly, I'd be concerned since it appears my help would come from two kits. Would you rather ShadowClan have gone to war with RiverClan when you were so unstable because your medicine cat was stealing herbs on our territory? What would you have done if you caught Elmshadow stealing RiverClan herbs? Grow up. Life in the Clans isn't for the faint of heart, so I see why you became an Outsider. I defended my Clan's territory, simple as that. Any other cat from any Clan would do the same. That's something you need to learn if you wanna survive. Help me or don't, I'll figure it out either way. The question is are you gonna help yourselves and stop behaving like kits?"

Now, that was an offer that Neo wouldn't pass up. Not being the best hunter -- for small prey -- he would take a free meal. Ears perking up, Neo rolled onto his stomach and sat up, his claws flexing into the ground eagerly. It was a step down from sinking them into actual flesh, but it would soothe him for now. His tongue ran across his lips and he hummed quietly for a moment, like he was actually pondering the offer. "Okay, yeah. I could use a meal," he mused, the only emotion in his voice thus far. "Then I'll show you out of his hellhole."

"U- uhhh.. alright..." They stammered, legs bent and tail between their legs as the cat stood. They began to sniff around in search of any little morsel they could catch. [Mumble rolled a 12]
The mouse that Mumble found wasn't much, but at least it was food... With that, they crouched, sneaking up on the mouse with light pawsteps before leaping! [Mumble rolled a 20!!]
And their form was perfect! They leapt at the mouse, quickly catching it before it even had the chance to react.
And so, cautiously, Mumble returned to the other cat, ears shifting back as they met eyes with him. They silently dropped the plump mouse at the paws of the cat.

'Hmm..this appears promising, I suppose' Perigune surveyed the forested area with indifference, slowly investigating her surrondings. After around a moon of wandering, of searching, this is what they are offered? How quaint. Truthfully, the loner had been unimpressed upon first arriving in this new land. Rumours had reached her ears of cats retuning from death...no sign of anything. *Sigh* However they couldn't be too pessimistic since she had only reached this place a few days ago. Perhaps she would find what they're looking for..she better. This journey would not be in vain.
rookfire still felt like he was vibrating with the leftover adrenaline his body had conjured before and during the execution of foggymask and marking this day as the first direct order to control and end a life he had received and executed for dawnstar. a step towards something, he didnt know what, but it felt important none the less. even if he was a medicine cat, seeing himself as a executioner, holding power over another cat while acting under dawnstars command was not something he would mind repeating in the future. now that it was just him and mistlewhisker though he grew a bit worried that the older feline may not take to this as kindly, him sort of taking her job or something, even if it had not really been his choice anyway.. foggymask weighed him down considerably as the two and a half (foggymask counting as half a cat in this situation) made their way towards the outskirts. more specifically, the icy heartlands, as they didnt require them to walk as far and were more or less familiar at the least. rookfire approached with caution, in case the twolegs were still around but relaxed once he realised the coast was clear and he could drop foggymask to begin digging. as white paws slowly tinted brown and grey from the moist soil and he shifted more and more earth, he suddenly got a simply phenomenal idea. if he remembered the locations of foggymasks body he could return in a few moons and retrieve bones. mistlewhiskers gift had been nice, but he wanted something better for dawnstar, a skull, especially one belonging to a former traitor sounded like just the thing to present his leader proudly. and perhaps he could take a bone or two back for the medicine den..
once he had produced a hole large enough to shove foggymask inside without making him completely fold in on himself in the slack state his body was, he did just that, dragging him into the hole before beginning to move soil back to where he had found it.
