Blackjaw's eyes widened. Mere moments before, he felt defeated, like he wasn't good enough to be a mentor. Then the little kit had come alone, despite his nerves, and had asked him if he wanted to train him! Blackjaw's eyes were alight with excitement. "I- of course I would," the tom purred, meeting the little calico's eyes with his own.
Blackjaw glanced at Mosstangle, his eyes alight with something he hadn't felt in a while. Pure, unhesitating joy. "I can't believe that," he mewed. He was shocked himself. Though he supposed the kit hadn't known much of anything about the fox incident. "Hopefully Dawnstar is open to the idea," the tom mewed.
Morningpaw grinned down at Wildkit. "See? You were fine, and now there's a good chance Blackjaw will mentor you!" He dipped his head briefly to the said warrior, amber eyes gleaming. "You just gotta be more confident." The apprentice gave the calico a playful bump to the side, still grinning, sharp teeth glinting. Growing muscles rippled under his dark pelt, and Morning hummed slightly as he turned to scan the Grimpeak for a second. Seeing nothing of note, he turned back and drew a paw over his ear, grooming nonchalantly.

Wildkit smiled. "Yay!" He knew who his mentor would be. He jumped to his paws and darted a circle around the three older cats. Morningpaw was right! He didn't have to worry! The entire question that had been directed at Mosstangle was completely missed on the young calico.
As he skidded to a halt, the fluffy kitten bumped his head against Morningpaw's shoulder. "Thanks, Morningpaw!" He mewed, then looked up at the white tom. "Thank you, Blackjaw!" He squealed. He wasn't even mad that Morningpaw had dragged him over anymore! Did he hear Mosstangle say something about Dawnstar? Ah, whatever! He was just happy, now! He wanted to start being an apprentice already!

Mosstangle purred as the little kit ran circles around them. How cute. Kits were so cute. She leaned closer and bumped her shoulder against Blackjaw's. "Well, I'm sure if you or Wildkit asks her, Dawnstar probably wouldn't argue. Takes the load off of her choosing someone for another apprentice." She offered. It sounded like sound logic to her. There seemed to be so many apprentices named every moon, one less to really have to think about ahead of time would seem like a relief.

Blackjaw smirked at the kits excitement, as he bounded in circles around the older cats. His own excitement was detectable, no doubt about it. Mingled with a sense of hope, at the idea that a kit had asked him to be his mentor.
"I sure hope so," the tom mewed in response to Mosstangle's thoughts. The tom brushed his nose across the queens cheek, purring lightly. He was glad to have her next to him, and he hoped to have her there for as long as he could.
The tom yawned, looking up at the sky to see the retreating sunlight, casting hues of pink, orange and purple as the sun sank below the horizon. The evening chill swept through his fur, making him shiver ever so slightly. He inched closer to Mosstangle, his flank against hers. The wamrth he felt was new to him. Not just warmth, but something else. Something pure and joyful inside his heart.
"The sunset is stunning," the tom mewed, his golden gaze wide at the sight infront of them.
fishpaw waited for her turn as the leader came around to the other new warriors it was her turn, Fishpaw Heald her breath as dawnstar touched her forhead and gave her the name of
Fishbite

It's been quiet, eerily quiet. She's had a few problems to deal with, but nothing outrageous. She wasn't sure how to feel about it. Prey was running well, apprentices were doing well with their training, and she's been acquiring new warriors every single moon for the last several moons. It left the she-cat edgy and a little nervous.
It felt like the quiet before the storm, if only she knew of the messy storm brewing. For now, she shook off the ominous feeling and padded out of her den and up the wooden incline to the peak. The wood groaned quietly underneath the feline's tremendous weight as she sat down and lashed her tail. She shakes out her pelt when small drops of rain splash against her back and ears. Great, she practically willed the rain into being with her thoughts of storms. The she-cat sighs before reciting the usual call.
"ShadowClan, gather beneath the Grimpeak for a Clan meeting." Dawnstar's roar echoes around the clearing. As she watches them gather, her eyes dart around in search of her kits. Her last few meetings have gone without much trouble, and she was waiting for one of them to give her another migrant.

Mistlewhisker, Emberpaw, Hillstrider and Birdecho all tucked themselves into areas of the clearing free from rain. Though Birdecho was just in her tree, looking down on the clearing as usual.
Shadepaw padded over, internally cursing the rain and her soggy pelt.
