Irisfrost's claws slid out of their sheaths, a growl rumbling in her throat. With a quick glance to check that the nursery and medicine cat den was secure- they were- Irisfrost ran towards the intruders.
But she never reached them, because suddenly a weight was on her back, slamming her to the ground. A hiss escaping her maw, Irisfrost bunched up her muscles and tried to surge up and throw her attacker off. She wasn't the strongest warrior in RiverClan, but she was still stronger than her appearance suggested. Enough to launch an average-weight warrior off her back.

Leopardlily hissed as she was flung back onto the dirt by Irisfrost. "Nasty little fish." She growled. If only she'd still had her claws. Then she'd be able to get a grip and get some more hits on. Irisfrost was indeed stronger than Leopardlily anticipated. And that ticked her off.
Her ears perked as she heard the calls from Bumblestar and Fadingsun. "Aww, you lot are already retreating? Can't handle the other Clans?" She taunted as she got back to her feet spitting at Irisfrost.
[rolled a 14!]
She quickly skirted back to Irisfrost's front, bringing her speckled paw and brining it crashing down on Irisfrost's head. She couldn't gauge how effective it'd be, as she was never the strongest, and always much more lithe, but she hoped maybe it would stun the warrior and allow for another possible sneak attack, that is, if she was quick enough and the warrior didn't defect it.

He missed Fadingsun’s face, but Hawkfur felt his claws sink into the muscled shoulder of the failed RiverClan leader. The WindClan Fury began to rake his claws down in an attempt to slice Fadingsun’s flank, but before he could he felt a sharp pain in his stomach followed by a bruising force that sent him careening away. Hawkfur slammed against the wall of a den, destroying it in the process and being covered in debris. The elder warrior gasped, trying to suck in air that his lungs were refusing. Oh stars, that hurt. He couldn’t have laid there for more than a few heartbeats when he heard the call for RiverClan to retreat. Anger bloomed in Hawkfur’s chest. No, damn it! He was supposed to fight for WindClan’s honor!
Hawkfur pushed himself to his paws, grunting as blood trickled from his stomach. Blinking past the stars in his vision, Hawkfur watched as RiverClan cats fled the camp, grabbing herbs and kits and running. Hawkfur slipped back to the gathering WindClan cats, helping any injured warriors back
[OPEN TO INJURED WINDCLAN CATS WHO NEED HELP MOVING BACK TO THE GROUP!]
Stonetail heard the call for evacuation and smirked “Looks like it’s time for you to run he grunted he usually wasn’t like this but this was different but as soon as he spoke he felt claws rip into his shoulder he yowled in pain as he felt the cat claw into him and nick his nose
Garlic Feather

He-Him { River Clan } Warrior
GarlicFeather didn’t even attempt to hide his fury at the smirk. Seriously? They were getting a kick out of this? A kick out driving out cats from their home in the night and tearing at them as if they weren’t the one’s intruding? GarlicFeather fought the burning temptation to keep battling both out of the anger that had fuelled him the entirety and the annoyance at the smirk. But, if he stood here swearing revenge and attacking every petty idiot he’d be standing her until he swore to nick the ears of each cat at this battle who wasn’t on riverclan’s side. Lashing his tail he instead let his gaze search for any-cats he could recognise, hopefully no one he knew was injured- or worse. At the very least he’d managed to land the attacks he’d attempted beforehand. That’d give them a nice mark to remember him by.
Brief search done he bolted off toward those evacuating. Was everything going to be different in the clan now? What would it be like so far away from camp for so long- and how long were they going to be gone. Garlic surpassed a shudder at the bombardment of questions. He’d rather get the answers to the questions later than now.
(Argh another late response im so sorry sorta rushed this

another wave of dizziness washed over wormbite & he had no doubt the buzzing feeling a crisis situation gave him was the only reason he was truly being able to function in this fight. still, even that had its limits and he was beginning to feel the effects of it wane. his claws had managed to slice through the thunderclanner's skin but it was still not enough. it wasn't permanent. the sin-eater wanted the other to remember this day - to leave evidence of what they had participated in.
he snorted at their statement, "this is far from riverclan lacking the courage and more so having a lick of sense to know attempting to brawl with three other clans is futile. anyone who thinks otherwise is a reckless idiot, " wormbite pointed out, stars, he knew thunderclan was perhaps one of the more ,, dense clans but he would expect them to know the difference between cowardice and tactical retreat.
which is why maybe the oriental should listen to his own word but if there was anything thunderclan was talented at it would be getting under his skin.
there was a beat of silence and then suddenly the black-furred tom without wasting a split second was launching himself at the warrior once more. he reeled up on his hindlegs and aimed to bring his claws down onto their hindlegs --- desiring to leave deep gashes. though, it would be easy for the feline to twist their body and rake their own claws down one of wormbite's legs he did not care to move. this body of his was a tool; he had little concern for what would come to it.
either way, eventually the oriental would jerk himself back - skidding away from the thunderclanner. a growl bubbling in his chest, "next time i see you i will make sure you will not be leaving this damned battlefield, you hear me?" he threatened, a fire flicking in his eyes. he would never forget; never forgive. not one singular cat that stepped paw in his home wouldn't eventually suffer the consequences. perhaps not for a long while, but he would make sure it would all be returned tenfold.
and with that - wormbite was fleeing from the thunderclanner with what little energy he still had. he would stumble over a body of his clanmate, still warm despite the fact their chest did not rise. they were still. under the strong scent of blood he struggled to figure out who they were, no name could come to him. a sick feeling of dread fills wormbite's stomach. he does not want to know how many of his clanmates died.
with what little energy he had the tom would hoist splashgaze up onto his back before following behind his evacuating clanmates.
Seagullwing glared. "Get out of the nursery! You have no right to mess with the kits. And even though I am pregnant and cannot fight you, I have no issue with finding someone who will. Wishkit, Fishkit, run! I will catch up with you two later." the queen pushed the two kits out of the nursery, than glared at Hollyheart. "Some warrior you are, trying to hurt kits." Seagullwing glared even harder at the warrior.
Sooooo. Wishkit was in the clearing...........
"The kit hurt fisrt!" Hollyheart told her.
Hollyheart has left to follow Bumblestar.

(whenever Irisfrost gets to the twoleg den you should mention me so i can send bear to fuss over her )
Good, her move worked. Irisfrost spun around to face her opponent, eyes narrowed at her. A growl rumbled in her throat at the ThunderClan's nickname, but she would keep her cool. Sticks and stones broke her bones, but words would never hurt her.
But before Irisfrost could launch herself at the she-cat, Fadingsun's call echoed through the clearing. A retreat. RiverClan had prepared for this, they knew they might be forced to flee, but still she hated it. She hated that they had to forfeit their territory to save themselves, she hated that it was absolutely the right call. And now her opponent was taunting her. "Your leader is calling you," Irisfrost ground out. Keep her cool.
Her eyes darted towards Fadingsun with the intention to follow her leader, but then a paw slammed into Irisfrost's head. She swore before she could stop herself, wincing at the sharp pain in her head. But despite being slightly disoriented Irisfrost lunged forward to bite the ThunderClan cat's paw, hopefully leaving a scar on the pad. And then she was running, her head pounding as her paws slapped the bloodstained ground.
(Leopardlily can give her a parting scratch if she wants, and also I'll definitely mention you. Sibling bonding time, yay!)
Nursery. That's what she ran towards. Skidding into the den, breath heavy, Irisfrost looked around the den for any kits that were still there. "I can carry any kits," she panted.
Vinepaw heard the call for retreat and he felt a rush of joy they had won their was no doubt in his mind that they wouldn’t but he felt relieved to know the battle was over he saw RiverClan cats fleeing and thought of his victory over dew paw he felt a twinge of sympathy for the other apprentice but then thought of Twistedpaw and what these RiverClan cats had done to his clan and instantly it made his stomach clench he wished he could claw the ears off of the warrior that attacked Twistedpaw but yet he had no clue who had done it he was slightly anxious but he pushed it down hopefully his mentor dust bunny would be proud he then heard the voice of a windclan warrior oh geez he didn’t look so good “I’ve got you warm sun keep your head up the younger apprentice said while moving in to support the larger warrior he pressed his tail to the warriors spine
The sea of cats flooded around her and the small beige apprentice sobbed into her paws, blood dripping from the decent slice in her shoulder, limbs shaking. She was gonna die. She was gonna die.
A large form slowly approached her, and through her tears she mistook the tom for the large warrior who had attacked her, and her movements were sluggish and petrified as she scrambled backwards, heaving in shallow breaths as any deep breaths made her rib hurt even more. Only when he spoke her name did she open her eyes, the scream of terror dying in her throat.
"J-" A small hiccup interrupted her words and she wiped her head shakily, falling forward and attempting to wrap her paws tightly around his front, high pitched blubbering and attempts at actual words failing miserably. She didn't care that they'd only known each other for a week. He was safe. The only safe person here.
Taking a moment to gather herself before standing, the molly nodded slowly, pulling herself to her paws and transferring her weight away from the partial embrace and shuffled to his side. She squeaked in pain as she shifted her side, looking down at it. The only indication that anything was wrong was a swollen bump where the rib had been cracked.
But she couldn't do anything now. She could only stay with him, and that she did. Staring at her paws, eyes darting up every so often in case anyone would run at them, she barely noticed the shift in direction, only looking up sharply when she sensed other cats. Fear levels rose but Jayfrost's tail gently wrapped around her and she looked up at him. Okay. These cats were safe, then. Okay. A small paw ventured to gently brush some blood off of him, clouded vision clearing a bit with concern as she examined her mentor's fur.
"Jay, you're hurt." She whispered out, eyes widening in horror. He was acting like it was fine! How was that possible? He couldn't be fine. He was hurt!
Dovefluff felt her muscles finally relax as Drizzlecloud approached. "Drizzlecloud's here, you're going to be okay, kiddo." Fallingpaw was an older apprentice, but anyone younger than Dove qualified to be babied in her opinion. The molly flushed slightly at the medicine cat's words, removing herself from her position shielding the wounded cat and gently releasing the pressure on the wound. "Of course. Thank you for coming to him so quickly. If you need any help, just call me over." She took the last bit as a dismissal, not sure if she'd be in the way. Drizzlecloud was a seasoned medicine cat, and she seemed rather trouble so Dove wouldn't get in her way.
Taking a few steps back, she gingerly wiped her still-bleeding nose, realizing how hard that cat kicked her as the adrenaline wore off. The deep gouges in her back would certainly leave a few gnarly scars, and honestly she wasn't sure if her throat would would scar over her other throat wound so it wasn't really exactly a worry. What was a worry was she couldn't see Springlight or Lioncrest, and she looked around wildly. Springlight had been attacked by that cowardly asshole moons ago (it felt like yesterday), what if he had come back for her? What if her mate's pained roar had been his dying howl and she had lost him? What if she had lost them both?
Panic flared up as she searched the crowds, bending over deceased bodies of cats that looked nothing like them, heart racing. It wasn't logical to become so terrified so fast. But she couldn't bear the thought of losing them, especially not after losing so many cats already. Even more so knowing that she could have saved them if she tried hard enough. If she was a better mate. A better mother.
